ITunes 7.5 and OSX 10.4.11 - CANNOT CONNECT TO iTUNES STORE

After a recent upgrade to iTunes 7.5 and OSX 10.4.11, I can no longer connect to the iTunes store. I have tried reinstalling iTunes 7.5 (and Quicktime - just in case!). I have also tried Keychain First Aid. Still it is broken. Please help me with this problem if you know of a fix.

i can't connect to the itunes store on 2 out of 3 macs in the house!!! this occurred in the last 48 hrs or so... although i downloaded a movie this week which took ages vs the normal time.
all connected through the same airport & have same settings & all other internet stuff fine.
i don't have any snitch.
i checked versions of software for os x and itunes on each machine:
(cannot connect) powerbook g4 runs 10.4.11 and itunes 7.5
(cannot connect) macbook 2.2 ghz runs 10.5.1 and itunes 7.5
(connects to store) macbook 2 ghz runs 10.4.10 and itunes 7.4.2
would indicate something wrong with itunes 7.5 but can't be sure...
Help pls...

Your Apple ID may be greyed out because of restrictions. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Changes>Accounts. If you set that restriction, your ID will be greyed out. Nobody can make changes to the account without entering the passcode to change disable the restriction.
Maybe something in here will help, even though this is not exactly what you are experiencing.

i have 64 bit windows 7- and itunes version 10.6.1.7. yet i cannot connect to the itunes store.  do i need to download something additional?

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    Hey there julyduque,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The article linked below provides troubleshooting tips that can help you resolve the issue connecting to the iTunes Store on your iPhone 5s when trying to make in-app purchases.
Can't connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, try updating your payment information as suggested in this article:

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Logging into iCloud with the Apple ID you use for iTunes, won't affect iTunes in anyway.

  • HT1933 I get a "Cannot connect to iTunes store" error. How else can I report a purchase?

    Hello there!
I just received a receipt for a game I have purchased for two friends (two distinct account without cards attached, so the game was purchased twice as a gift) but I have been charged for three copies and I want to report this problem.
So, naturally, I clicked on the Report... link under any of the purchases and I get the message:
    "Cannot connect to iTunes store".
I don't want to let this get away. If there is no way of getting my money back, I want to have the game on my account as well!

Change your Date & Time settings from Automatic to OFF and then change the date a good month ahead.  Open the app store from Passbook.  Should load perfectly.  Once you get in, change the date and time back to auto.

  • "Cannot connect to iTunes" message

I have signed up to icloud as an email as my previous setup went wrong.  I still can not sign into icloud, iTunes, AppStore so I am unable to get started.  I have tried troubleshooting but nothing helped, I changed my city and time, other than that I am using a brand new devise so no firewalls or out of date software. Apple help was unable to help, I am a first time apple user and I don't have an apple shop locally. Please help? The only issue I can find is it needs an update to iOS 7.0.3..but that apparently wouldn't stop basic setup and login

No error number. I have 6 apps that need updating. I press update all or each one individually, and the message pops up "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" with ok button under. If I hit update all, the message comes up 6 times and I have to hit ok to clear. I have powered phone off and back on, turned airport mode on and back off, and reset network settings. All to no avail. Please help.

  • My iPhone 'Cannot connect to iTunes store' when updating apps?

On my iPhone, when i need to update my apps i enter my email & password and it comes up saying 'Cannot connect to iTunes store'. How do i fix this? It's not my phone, i've tried on my sisters touch & dad's iPhone also.. same result. And when I log on to iTunes on my computer, everything is fine.

I had a go at that.. and it comes up saying i dont even have any updates to download.. but i do on my iPhone. It's annoying. Even if i do download the apps on my computer and sync, how are my sisters supposed to update my app on their ipods/iphones?

  • TS1424 Cannot connect to itunes store via ipad

Hi guys. I Try to open itunes in my ipad2, but a massege popup "cannot connect to itunes store" ... What should i do?

Ok, I found a solution that worked for me when trying to connect to the iTunes store by tapping the "update" button in the "App Store" app on my iPad 2. Before the solution was implemented I'd always get the error message "cannot connect to iTunes store". Once the solution was implemented I now can connect to iTunes using the "update" button in the "App Store" app and I get the normal message "All apps are up to date". The solution is this:  go into Settings, then General, then scroll to the bottom where it says Date and Time. Tap Date and Time and then turn OFF Set Automatically. When you do that a new option will be added that says Set Date and Time. Tap it. You'll now get a drop down feature. Set the Date AHEAD 2 YEARS. The Time you can leave alone.
Once you do that you might get a bunch of reminders and messages that your apps and stuff haven't been updated in two years. Click cancel or close on each of those messages or reminders. Now go back into Settings, General, Date and Time, and turn Set Automatically back to ON. Reboot your iPad. Open the App Store app again and go to the Update button. It might ask you to log back in to your iTunes account. It should now work. If not, close the App Store app completely and open again and try the update button. Hope this helps.

  • TS1424 Cannot connect to iTunes app updates

I'm trying to update my apps on my iPad and I get the error Cannot connect to iTunes .  Please help

You can re-download content purchased from the app store using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the app store using the purchased option which is revealed by tapping the updates option at the bottom of the screen of the App store app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.
