I am trying to download itunes 7.5 and i keep getting error code 2738 and I would really like to know what I have to do to fix this??

try logging into itunes web site, look for the upgrade, right click the icon exe, save target to disk, close all apps, dbl clk the saved file,( you might get an error), itunes must not be running, task mgr would be able to close all itunes executables, then the program should run, try this but no guarantees.

I have alot of songs in my itunes library and on my ipod. I tried to drag the songs from the library or purchased (like I normally do for my ipod) into the iphone and it won't let me. Is there something else I should do?

that worked now if I could get the email to work right. I set up the yahoo acct from the phone and it works but when I sync it it dosent show up in the box. I am using windows mail. I set up my work email that used imap and it's giving me an error. I had mine sent in to repair and didn't have the email synced so I lost the two.

Itunes 7 BIG PROB HELP NEEDED

The first time i downloaded 7.0 i got all the way to the end and it worked but i could never open it so i just deleted itunes completley and so now i download it and it says..."this is already a file do you want to replace it?" I hit yes...than this box pops up and it says..."The feauture that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK, or Try Again, or enter an alternate path to the folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi'in the box below." So ya, Ive tried hitting ok, and try again and trying to locate iTunes.msi and i cant. HELP WOULD BE GREATLEY APPRECIATED!

Go here and start with the section "Get the latest Windows updates" (Make sure you do that) and then follow ALL steps for removing iTUnes AND quicktim, especailly "Clean up iTunes installer files on the computer" (DO NOT FOLLOW STEPS FOR REINSTALLING YET) http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976
Now disable your antivirus program AND set it to allow script to run.

Updated info on iTunes vs. iMovie / probs w/importing???

Hi, all--
I read the previous posts regarding being unable to import music from iTunes to iMovie... just wondered if anyone had found any other fixes BESIDES burning the songs to CD? I'm working on an end of year movie for my students and the amount of time and hassle that would add makes me want to pull my hair out. Is there anything else anyone's found to address this issue?

help!!!! i moved my music files to an external HD now iTunes cant find the files. is there a faster way to link the files rather than manually finding and linking the file. any help would be greatly appreciated..

What's the origin of this external drive? It sounds very much like it's a Windows-formatted (NTFS) drive which Macs can't write to. If you can, copy the files off the drive, reformat it as Mac format (using Disk Utility) and copy the files back. If you need to continue writing to it from a Windows PC, you should format it ExFAT in Disk Utility.

Itunes 7 downloading probs & authorization probs

I wish I'd checked this forum before updating! I am getting error -50 on purchased music downloads and since I changed my log in password I keep getting the 'not autorised' message on every track I try to play despite authorising the computer and getting 'successful' message on both individual tracks and the computer. Can anyone help?

not sure if this is really answered as I don't know how it was resolved, it just was! I had downloaded the correct Quicktime and I had looked at the article mentioned but that related error -50 only to Video downloads and I was getting it on Music only files. hey ho!

Cannot link Paypal to itunes account

Was using v11 iTunes, no previous probs purchasing tunes, wanted to add paypal for credit info and then the problems began. I complete the billing agreement with paypal, cl to continue to iTunes store. Then directed to download iTunes. I initially skip this step, as I wasn't ready to upgrade to v12. But I am just continually looped and unable to purchase my tune. I check my paypal acct, the billing agreement is there and active. I then decide to upgrade to v12 but the except thing is occurring. Please help, this is so freaking frustrating.

It sounds like you want to use your PayPal account as your payment method for purchasing items in iTunes. To set this up, you will need to update your billing information in the iTunes Store on a computer. When updating your billing settings in iTunes on a computer, you should see PayPal as a payment option:
Changing your account information using a computer:
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then click the Sign In button.
Choose Store > View My Account.
Enter your account password, and click the View Account button.
To update your name, billing address, or payment information, follow these instructions:
From the Apple Account Information page, click the Edit Payment Information button.
Edit the information that you would like to change.Note: The payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts can be found in the payment type section. If you do not want a payment method on your account, select None in the payment type section.
Click the Done button once you've updated all of your information.

ITunes failing on startup

I'm trying to open iTunes and every time i try to run it, whether or not its run as administrator it consistently gives me the "iTunes has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution" prompt.
I have tried:
Running in administrator mode
Updating iTunes through a new executable downloaded from apple.com
I am running Windows Vista 64-bit
any more information needed i can provide, just ask.
I am trying to avoid doing a uninstall then fresh install, to prevent having to re-associate all of my music files but if that is what it comes down to me needing to do, i can do it.

I had Vista too. It was a horrible OS. No longer supported by almost everyone. You can't upgrade your machine to windows 7 or 8 because most likely your hardware won't support it. you can now get a decent laptop for under $300 so if you can, I recommend saving the trouble you'll be so glad you did. I recently upgraded to 8.1 and it's been awesome, had the iTunes 12.1 prob though and here is my solution. I have a new Dell running Windows 8.1 and iTunes update 12.1 got error 193 and would not install, I tried numerous methods listed here. The folder some said to delete did not exist. uninstalling and reinstalling did not work. Rebooting to an earlier restore point did not work. I cannot say what will work for others, but here is what DID work for ME: Do not browse to the Apple site and download iTunes in Google Chrome, instead use Microsoft Explorer. When I went that route a different pop up box appeared asking if i want to repair or uninstall. (Repair did not work), selecting uninstall Then downloading the 64bit version (which I need) fully and successfully installed- not just saying it did, but actually working. I opened it up and re-synced to my iPhone 4s. Viola! (Btw, the day prior when purchasing an album over 3G not wifi all my stored music mysteriously disappeared, which ironically is what caused me to update iTunes to 12.1 but maybe this is unrelated, but both problems solved now. once iTunes was running again, everything was still in the cloud not lost just downloading to phone.) Arrgh!! Ipod Mini launches ITunes but isn't recognized

Just about at my wit's end. After struggling for 10+ hours with first mini and finally finding it was defective, got replacement from store. After inital installation, computer would recognize IPod but ITunes didn't and screen stuck on do not disconnect. After resetting, reinstalling IPod and ITunes, updating to 9-23-05 versions, restoring IPod, etc. etc., it is finally at a point where when I plug it in it does launch Itunes, but is not recognized. Any thoughts about what to do next?
This is all on my laptop (Dell 600M with XP Pro SP2, fully updated). on my desktop, windows recognizes the IPod but neither Itunes or the IPod updater recognize it.
All suggestions appreciated.

This is a very common problem that people are having with minis/iTunes 5.X and indeed that i myself have. The only solution atm is to go to http://filehippo.com/download_itunes.html?184 and dll itunes 4.9, then uninstalling iTunes from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and then obv installing 4.9... I'm going to keep looking out for future updates of iTunes where this prob is resolved but atm the only solution is to regress =(....iTunes 4.9 and iTunes 5.0 are not extremely differenty anyway, honest.

Itouch kills itunes

i never updated my itunes version 8.0.2 bacause when i did,
my ipod got not recognized any more, as well as closed i tunes down.
As itouch firmware 3.1 came out it is not possible to run under 8.0.2 8.2 is at least needed.
Loaded itunes 9 - same probs.
I did msconfig way deleated everything related ituns and reinstalled, checked other computers. it still remained the same.
Always itunes got accidentally stopped etc. etc.
Please if anyone know help me out on this.

this question is asked a lot (it's always a good idea to use the search discussions box on the right of the screen --------> - you may get your answer a lot quicker). you can only transfer itunes purchases (either that have been bought on the ipod or on itunes on your computer) from ipod to itunes.
you will need 3rd party software to get everything else back to your computer, google 'ipod to computer'.

Just started having problem connecting ipod to windows xp

I have a ipod video 5th gen. Bought it about a month ago and has worked fine. I was able to charge and sync with itunes with no prob. Just recently when i connect the ipod with my usb cable, it comes up with an error saying "the usb device attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows dosent reconingze it". Now I cant can't sync with itunes, charge, nor does it show up in my computer. No changes have been made to my PC except for regular windows updates. Anyone have an answer or work around?

I am trying to search itunes for The Beatles & Led Zepplin. Why can't I find them? All I get are songs by tribute bands. Am I going crazy or are these artists not on itunes? Sorry if this has been answered before.

The reason why the beatles are not on itunes is because of a law suite that took place a while ago
If you notice apple use the apple as their logo as well as the beatles record label (apple records)
It was agreed that apple would be able to use the apple logo if it was not involved in the sale of music
as you know apple then launched the ipod and itunes and went from computers into the music world thus breaking the gentlemans agreement with the apple records
this is prob the reason why you cant find these bands on itunes
as for led zep they are on atlantic records and prob have refused the agreement to sell on itunes as they prob have their own online store so i recommend checking out the atlantic records website in order to download and buy led zep stuff
