ITunes 7.6 Movie Artwork NOT Updating

First, everything was working fine in 7.5...
Upgraded to 7.6, when I import a movie, it uses the first frame as the artwork (as it always did). However, when I switch to the artwork tab and try to load an image, it won't save it. It acts like it did... but the image doesn't save. If I reopen the artwork tab - it shows empty. I tried dropping into the (Now Playing window - artwork tab - whatever it is called) this doesn't work either.
If it matters (and it hasn't in the past), my library (and entire iTunes folder) is located on an external NAS drive. However, before I got alot of suggestions on configuring this properly - it should be clear this worked 100% perfect in 7.5... and has been working fine for over 2 years. Nothing has changed but the 7.6 iTunes upgrade.
Any ideas anyone?
Anyone with this configuration - would you mind adding some artwork to a new video (movie) file.

I have a similar setup here. My movies and TV shows are all stored safe and sound on a RAID5 NAS drive. iTunes on my Mac Pro connects to this drive via Samba and serves up the video to a Mac Mini and an Apple TV.
I had no problems stashing movie posters in the artwork field before. But now that I've upgraded to iTunes 7.6 I have exactly the same problem, it will not keep the artwork.
If I copy the movie to a local drive and add the artwork it stays in place.
Right now I've got to add the movie to iTunes from the local drive and then move it to the external drive. It add a few steps to the process and I can't think why it doesn't work over the network.

Installed 11.0.3 today. Tried to update apps. iTunes response was, "You can not update this software since you have not owned the major version of this software." I REALLY don't understand. I paid for MANY applications and stole or borrowed NOTHING.

Movie artwork not displaying on mobile devices

Anyone have any idea why the artwork on some movies do not display on my iPhone's or iPad? Shows in iTunes ... not sure what the issue is. Artwork are jpeg files. Need some help, suggestions ...

May be obvious, but have you checked the box in iPod options in iTunes that says "Display Album Artwork"?
I am having a similar problem, but about half of my artwork will show up on my iPod (it seems to be random which artwork will transfer). When it is plugged into iTunes, all of the artwork is there. I have tried deleting and re-adding artwork to songs with no luck. My iPod is set to "Manual Update", and the check box for album art is checked in iTunes. Also, I used to have my iPod on automatic update, but since I have switched to manual at least some of the artwork added since then is viewable on the iPod, so I don't think it is the setting that is the problem. Any suggestions?

Album Artwork Not Updating?? Even After Deleting All New Artwork

I have recently added new album artwork to my songs in my playlists directly through my iPod 5th generation. I thought the artwork was going to get updated automatically so after that I disconnected the iPod and tried to listen to the songs on it. But the songs either had no album artwork or the previous artwork that I "deleted".
So then I connected my iPod to my PC again and there it was--all my new album artwork was already included with the songs, even though I couldn't see them whenever I used my iPod seperately.
So then I right-clicked on "Tony's iPod" and clicked on options. I then went under the "Music" tab and unchecked "Dispaly album artwork on your iPod". Then I clicked okay which meant obvisouly meant I won't be able to see the artwork whenever I used to iPod seperately. So then I went in options again and checked "Display album artwork on your iPod". I expected the iPod to automatically update the artwork.
I then clicked "ok" and on the top part of iTunes it said "Updating Ipod. Do not Disconnect" Then it said "Optiomizing artwork for Tony's iPod" but then all of the sudden a small window appeared with a big red X saying
"The ipod "Tony's iPod cannot be updated. An unknown error occured (-50)."
I freaked out again and restarted my computer...disconnected the iPod--connected it again, "disabled" the artwork and enabled it again...nothing worked--it kept showing the same error message. So then I decieded to delete all the new album artwork that were already with the songs (But the iPod did not want to accept them). After deleting all the new artwork--I attempted to "enable" album artwork. I believed maybe one of the album artworks i uploaded had an error on it or was not compatiable. So I "enabled" the artwork again and it showed the same exact error message.
I have no idea on what to do, can anybody help me?
P.S. I already checked for any viruses--there were none.

It might be possible that the artwork is just unavalible. Try finding a random picture and setting it as a songs artwork, then updateing your ipod with that picture set as the artwork and see if it appears. If it does, then maybe you need to redo all the artwork (i have had to redo all my artwork before...total pain in the ***..). If it doesnt show, then you got me...

Artwork not updating on iCloud

All my music is up in Apple's cloud, using iTunes Match. These are mostly MP3's that don't match anything in Apple's offerings, and have been uploaded from iTunes on my PC to the iCloud.
I recently changed the album art that is embedded into the files. iTunes shows the correct updated artwork. Despite doing a "Store - Update iTunes Match", the new artwork are not getting uploaded. The MP3's that have the new artwork are not getting uploaded, because the iTunes March update gets done very quickly considering the # of files that I have changed. My devices (iPhone5, iPad3) don't reflect the updated artwork either.
How do I force iTunes to update the artwork on these files stored in the cloud?
How do I force my iOS devices to re-download the library data (in case they are using cached copies of the artwork on these devices)?

How can I selectively delete some tracks from iCloud?
First start with a secure backup of all of your Song files.
To delete from iCloud, you will have to delete a Song and select the option to also remove in iCloud.
and then re-upload them?
With iTunes Match off, importing Song files from your secure backup, refining Song data, then switch on Match.
Pending the Song in question, iTunes Match will initiate an upload when it completes its matching sequence.

Purchased TV and Movie artwork not showing in iTunes 10.6.1 when stored on a NAS drive

Having searched through the forums here and using Google to cast a wider net.
I am still struggling to see if there is a solution to the missing artwork of TV programmes or films missing when stored on a NAS drive. All the TV programmes and movies have been purchased through the iTunes store.
The version of iTunes being used is the most recent (10.6.1).
The network drive is hardwired linked to the AirPort Extreme Base Station, this base station is also hardwire linked to the iMac. The iTunes library resides upon a DROBO FS and has done since it filled the storage capabilities of the iMac.
TV and Films purchased before the migration of the library has the artwork, it is just films and programmes purchased since the migration that don't.
Clicking "Get Album Artwork" has no effect, the same is also true for manually adding the artwork to each episode through the "Get Info" "Artwork" option. Although the "Get Info" route teases you with an apparent result only to have the artwork "vanish" when you save.
I have seen a solution that involves remapping the iTunes library to the iMac each time you want to download a TV programme or film and then remounting the NAS drive and consolidating the library again, http://www.online-tech-tips.com/mac-os-x/fix-missing-album-art-when-using-a-nas- with-itunes/
This doesn't strike me as much of a solution and doesn't address the TV programmes and films that have already been downloaded.
I am hoping someone in the community is aware of a solution or at least method that is a little more elegant than the one linked to above.

The Apple TV 1 doesn't use homesharing.
Navigate to Settings > Computers > Your Library on the Apple TV, you may be told you will lose all synced content, but you can sync it back afterwards, you won't lose any purchased content that has yet to be transferred. Then select Settings > Computers > Connect To iTunes, note the passcode that appears on screen, click on the device in iTunes and enter the passcode when prompted.

Movie artwork not syncing?

I synced my iPhone to the PC and the artwork for most of my movies just disappeared? It happened with all of my songs as well but I managed to recover them. I've tried deleting and re-downloading the movies, it doesn't work...

Secure connection to iTunes store failed and could not update to ios 6

I tried in 4 different pcs with windows 7 installed to update my iphone 4 to latest version of ios (ios6) my current version is 5.1.1. I never had this issue ever before.. My iphone is jailbroken and so i couldnt update with OTA. I also tried to install a fresh copy of ios 5.1.1 to update my phone via OTA.. But the same problem now in itunes 10.5 and 10.7 too.. "iTunes could not connect to iphone software update server or is temporarily unavailable". I checked iTunes itunes diagnostics and the secure connection to itunes storo fail is the only thing which doesnt work.. I tried almost everything from here.. Starting from "internet option", changing the hosts file and the firewall thing.. But couldnt get it better.. What shoud i do?

ITunes 7.0.1 will not update

Please, please, please help me!
Have recently tried to update iTunes as wish to purchase music. Am currently using iTunes 5 (i know its old!). Everytime i try to update it brings up a small window in the corner of my screen with lots of characters in and saying something about not being able to run in DOS mode.
I have tried everything I can think of....allowing pop-ups, making sure firewalls allow iTunes, disabling anti-virus software and nothing works! Any suggestions?

Looks like you tryed to open a EXE file in Internet Explorer some time ago, and then checked the "Always open with this program" checkbox. Now I think it tries to open the SETUP.EXE to update your iTunes but opens the SETUP.EXE file in Internet Explorer and then stops.
To delete this setting do the following:
Start > Control Panel > Folder Options (Or something like that, Make sure you have the Classic Control Panel enabled)
Then a new Window opens. In that window select the "Filetypes" tab and look for EXE or anything strange that opens with Internet Explorer. Select the setting you want to delete and press "Delete".
Hope this is the problem. It's the only problem I can think off.

Itunes 11.0.1 still not updating apps in library during iOS sync

i dont know if this is true for you but i still have the same problem in itunes 11.0.1 that was there is itunes 11.0. apps updated on ios are not being updates in itunes library during sync.
please let me know if u have a fix or know a thread where the fix has been posted.

This is an easy fix. Just try this: Without connecting your phone, open iTunes and go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from automatically syncing". Next authorize your computer for all Apple IDs used to purchase these apps in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer. Now connect your phone and when it appears on the left sidebar of iTunes right-Right click on its name and select Transfer Purchases (this will transfer your apps and other purchased media to your iTunes library). Right-click again and select Backup. Now go through the various tabs and select your sync settings (Music, etc.), being careful not to select to sync contacts or calendars on the Info tab unless the program you are syncing with has at least one contact and one calendar event (which will trigger a merge or replace prompt when you first sync). When you have everything the way you want click Apply to sync your phone. Note: When you sync to a new iTunes library iTunes will erase all iTunes media and replace it with the media in the library you are syncing with. You have transferred your apps so they will sync back, however you must also import your music and other media to your library or it will not be transferred back to your phone when you sync.
