ITunes 7 and 80 GB iPod error
I recently upgraded to iTunes 7 (from iTunes 6), and purchased a new 80 GB iPod. When I initially connected the iPod, automatic sync was enabled, and all my library material was copied to the iPod, which was fine.
However, when next I connected my iPod, I found a number of problems:
1. When I clicked on "library," any playlist, or even the iPod eject button, iTunes shut down entirely. With no error message.
2. When I disabled automatic sync, ALL the music on my new iPod was immediately erased and all my settings (backlight, click, etc.) were restored to the factory default.
...has anyone else encountered this problem? Needless to say, I'm very, very irritated right now.

Hello, I have a problem when I connect to the computer ipad 2 in itunes and click on the "Programs", itunes crashes and writes simply an error. when connecting the iphone does not. everywhere is version 7.0. Itunes is also the latest version. thank you

I uploded the new itunes software and now my ipod touch is not getting reconized in my itunes. I went through all the trouble shooting support from apple. But I do have a avast antivirus on my computer i wonder if that is what is holding it up

Since I'd installed the new version of iTunes, iCal and Address book do not sync with my iPhone 3GS through iTunes anymore and I get an error message stating that iTunes can not sync with this iPhone. Was must i do to correct this issue and if i must, how dI reintall iTunes without loosing my content?

Trying to install the new itunes update and it keeps saying error could not install itunes. Currently I am running windows 7. Any advise to fix this problem. This is doing this when installing itunes/quicktime, safari 5, mobileme control panel, and the software update itself. The itunes version is 10.3.1
That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
I purchased an iphone 3g that was to be open to any carrier, I went to restore it to my itunes account and get a 1015 error, can this be fixed. I am new to the iphone and like the product but cannot buy new. Please help. THANKS
You got ripped off. You bought a hacked/jailbroken phone. That's what error 1015 means. Return it and get your money back if possible and buy a phone from a legitimate source.
Discussing jailbroken / hacked phones is forbidden by the terms of service. Jailbreaking / hacking voids any warranty and forfeits your right to support here or from Apple. You can not get help here. -

I have tried to update for the newest itunes download and it says a error has occured and won't finish the download. I tried burning a cd and playing a dvd but it doesn't work.

Why won't iTunes open and what does this error message mean?
I can't open up my iTunes. I've tried reinstalling it but it still doesn't work. I get an error message that reads: The procedure entry point kCMByteStreamNotification_AvailableLengthChanged could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll. I press ok and then another message pops up reading: iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127). I don't get an error message when I hook up my iPod but it doesn't bring up iTunes either and restarting my computer doesn't seem to help. I don't want to completely remove iTunes from my computer because I'm afraid I'll lose most of my music since most of it were on CDs which I no longer have. Help?
I am having this same problem. I took Kappy advice on restarting the Apple Mobile Device Service, however that did not work. I got this message in a pop up window that came up immediately.
Windows could not start the Apple Mobil Device Service on local computer.
Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I have already uninstalled itunes, all the related programs and I cannot reinstall, this Apple Mobil Device message stops the install.
Can anyone please help? -

Yes I know this has been posted many times before, but I am at a loss here, and I really need help.
So I follow the steps I need to do to "Restore" my iPod touch (i have the 32 gig - 2nd gen) and then I see the apple logo appear. It stays that way for a long time, then nothing happens.
I re-open itunes and I still get the error message that iTunes could not connect to iPod.
So, what do I do then? This is why I hate doing updates in my iPod, it just messes up everything.

I downloaded version 11 on itunes and updated my ipod to os6, when I try to open itunes now, it says it downloaded incorrectly and won't open. It says to reinstall itunes. Will I lose my whole music library if I reinstall itunes?
you will not loose your content at all. It is still sitting in your hard drive even if you uninstall itunes.
Once itunes will be reinstalled , it will re-sync your stuff on your hard drive -

What to do if iTunes can't restore my iPod (error 1433)
My iPod works fine, but I am unable to add new songs to it. I followed all troubleshooting directions but the message says there's an error in restoring (1433) and it won't load on my computer.
I'd buy a new one but this still works, it seems to be more of an Apple software issue, as in they are weeding out older iPods even if they still work.
Please let me know if there's anything else that I can try.
Thanks!@ Elliot, well the iPod works fine, it just isn't acknowledged by the computer and I get an error that isn't mentioned in the Apple troubleshooting section, so I have to assume that it's been weeded out. I've used Apple products since 1990, I've spent a lot of money on software due to upgrades that weed out other versions, sometimes too quickly. I was told that it wouldn't last forever, so I guess I buy a new one. Is there an iPod classic model that's better than most, without spinning parts? I have 30 GB on this one and that seems like plenty, but I erased a lot of the CDs that I copied onto my computer after I copied the music to my iPod--wasn't thinking, I guess. We won this iPod, so it's been great but I think the prices are a bit high for something that breaks after a few years and there should be something between the Nano and the iPod with five times the memory. I back everything up, but worry about the day the back up drive keels over. I'll try to restore it on another computer, but it's most likely time for a new one if these don't usually last as long as I've had mine.
@ jk_baller23 YES, I spent two hours or so trying everything. But I see the messages in past forums are from 2008, so I guess I am supposed to be happy that it didn't do this one or two years after we got it.

Anyone else finding that the keyword editor doesn't refresh properly upon changes
When I have a clip with multiple keywords and I want to delete one of the keywords in the keyword editor, I find that the editor window refreshes incorrectly. The results are accurate but the editor appears to erase the wrong keyword. Not the worst
