ITunes 7 and Games

I just upgraded to iTunes 7 and purchased a game for my ipod, but when I went to put it on the ipod it was impossible - it is just sitting in my library now. Anyone have similar complaints? I have no idea how to get it on there. The ipod has been upgraded to 1.2 and is an ipod video in case anyone was wondering if I was a little daft. I've tried the ol' click and drag, but no luck.

You must "authorize" your PC to use games / music purchased from the Store.
Go in "Store" -> "Authorize PC" (or similar , I have the italian version). Otherwise, double-clic the image of the game between the Library column and the game description: a pop-up window will be prompted and you can authorize your pc.

How to manage different apple id's for icloud and itunes purchases and game center etc. ?

Myself and my brother have been sharing the same apple id for all the itunes purchases. We both have iphone 4. Since the introduction of icloud, we are little confused about the id managing process. Yesterday, we both updated our iOS to iOS 5. And, just after installing iOS 5, we were asked to enter apple id and password. We both entered the same id and password. Now both are iphones have overlapping contacts and other stuff.
Now, we have deciced that we want to make separate apple id's for ourselves i.e we want different apple id's for our iclouds (plus game center) and same apple id's for all our itunes purchases (if we are allowed to do that).
So now we have no idea how to do this after once entering the same id during iOS 5 installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're wanting to share content between multiple apple ids in the family I would suggest to use iTunes match.

I purchased 2 games from the itunes store and they won't copy to my ipod

i recently bought Sonic and Sims Pool for my ipod video, 60GB, and whenever i plug in my ipod to update it.. the games don't copy.
the songs i have in my itunes do, and the recently updated playlists do, just not the games.

How do I get music and games which I purchased for my daughter through my iTunes account onto her iPad mini but at the same time set up a separate iTunes account for her iPad?

Apple devices can hold protected content from up to five different accounts, however updating apps purchased over more than one account (as far as I'm aware) requires signing in and out of each account. You may be better off continuing to use one account for your family, as I do, but disabling the options on each device for the automatic download of purchases made on the account, and in iTunes, the automatic inclusion of new apps when syncing from the library to the device.

Contact iTunes support and explain your situation to them. They may let you redownload it at no cost.

ITunes wiped out most of my music, movies, and games when I synced

I restored the settings on my iPod, downloaded a fresh version of iTunes 7.7, and tried to re-sync at least a half dozen times. No luck. It turns out that somehow my computer had been deauthorized -- I know it wasn't anything I did or didn't do; it happened spontaneously. Once I reauthorized my computer, my iPod starting adding back the songs, movies, and games. Hope this helps some other short-term sufferers from an attack of the iTunes elves.

I think it may be how all of your items are checked under your ipod in Summary and Music and Videos tabs. If you don't check either to sync (if you manually manage music and videos), it removes it. This is very confusing b/c you would think you only want to "sync" stuff that you haven't downloaded to your ipod. Not the case, though. You have to sync everything you want to keep on your ipod....I think

Itunes 7 and storing games

I am using itunes 7 and have purchase a couple of games from the store. Itunes sticks them in the unknown artist folder in my library and then says it can't download them to my ipod because it can't find them!. The way i got around this was to delete the games (keep the files) and then do "add file to library" - itunes then move them to the right place "ipod games" in the library and then works ok. i don't think apple tested this software much!

ITunes crashed and I lost my downloaded games

I upgraded to iTunes 7 on my iMac and downloaded a game.
I never got it to my ipod before the application crashed and now it no longer appears in my iTunes library.
What can I do?

I have same problem. Bought a game, downloaded it to my mac - it showed up for about two seconds in Itunes and then Itunes crashed and the game disappeared.
I cannot sync my Itunes properly anymore. Songs and photos sync ok, but then it locks up!
Anyone know a fix?

One computer iTunes can support multiple Apple IDs. One iPod can also support multiple IDs. Don't do an "erase and sync." Simply add your Apple ID to the computer's iTunes and to the iPod. The only nuisance is app updating, especially if you do the updates from the computer, rather than from the iPod.

I believe that l made all the right connections to my tv and shared communities onm my computer and apple tv. But l rented "Fair Game" from iTunes Store and when it is downloading it comes with "Error in downloading" do it later. It hasn't after 2 days.

I am the proud owner of an Apple TV. I made all the right connections (l believe). HDMI to my SONY high def, establishing shared communities. But when l rented a movie from the iTunes Store ("Fair Game") it began to prepare for download when suddenly on my TV screen cames "Error in downloading, try again later. I have been trying for 2 days, and it's always the same message. I'm sure there's a simple explanation, and l'm just too dense to figure it out.

yeah I have been putting in a suggestion every few months since the release of apple tv 2.
still just a sad face for us who would find that useful.
I keep hoping that the cycnical view is not correct - that they are only interested in updating the cash register part of streaming/rental/channels apple tv, not the user experience of the people who have been loyal customers for years and actually bought stuff.
so sad.
If I were not so lazy I would try and do more to push for this - there you go...we don't have it because I am too lazy.
