Itunes 7 and storing games
I am using itunes 7 and have purchase a couple of games from the store. Itunes sticks them in the unknown artist folder in my library and then says it can't download them to my ipod because it can't find them!. The way i got around this was to delete the games (keep the files) and then do "add file to library" - itunes then move them to the right place "ipod games" in the library and then works ok. i don't think apple tested this software much!
You must "authorize" your PC to use games / music purchased from the Store.
Go in "Store" -> "Authorize PC" (or similar , I have the italian version). Otherwise, double-clic the image of the game between the Library column and the game description: a pop-up window will be prompted and you can authorize your pc.

How can I listen to itunes and play a game at the same time on my ipad 4? This means I need to run 2 apps at the same time itunes and my game. The game has its own sound control so I can turn off its sound while i listen to itunes tracks. But I don't know how to set it up so the ipad does both.
Anytime you open an app that has a persistant sound stream - a movie, a podcast, some games - it will overide the music app's stream. nothiong you can do to change it.

I am trying to download games to my iPod Touch. I can select a game in iTunes and it is downloaded to my Apps Library and on my hard drive. But I cannot transfer or copy this file to my iPod so I can play the game. What do i need to do?
Sync it, like you do anything else.

I have an old IPID touch and just bought a anew Nano. If I downoload the latest version of Itunes for my Nano, will I lose all of my osns stored in my old version of Itunes and can I still use my Touch (with my current songs on it) with the new version of Itunes? In the past when I downloaded a new version, I lost my songs on my Touch. Thank you for any help any one might offer.

It used to work as soon as i restarted my router but after an hour the iPod or perhaps the router,wont let me acces the appstore or itunes or the games center...
Its my first iPod and i guess i didnt configured the router´s w-lan well or something...I restored the Pod,I did all 4 steps in the support twice and i reinstalled my routers software+firmware but now im running out of ideas to solve this problem...(used to solve´em myself)
I have a PC win XP sp2 if it helps..
I hope some Apple-Pro knows the issue and closes this bloody case >.<Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall for the network problem.
Also for the original problem try the following if Ana's suggestions does not work
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My husband recently tried to sync my ipod to itunes and in the process he managed to loose all the photos I had stored on the ipod. When I go to my pictures folder on my (Dell) laptop there is now a folder called ipod photo cache. How do I view these files? They are now show as ITHMB files!
Those photos taken or bumped photos should bi in the iPod's Camera Roll album

- Have you looked on the computer? Maybe they were imported to the computer and then deleted from the iPod. Since the photos were not synced to the iPod they are not in the iPod Photo Cache folder . -

My ipod nano was synced by itunes and removed all of my music and game files, and replaced my music with my kids music that they have put into the current itunes library. My music is nowhere to be found on my computer, so now I am in the long, forever process of adding my music back one cd at a time, but there is no history of tetris that I paid for from the itunes store. How can I get this game back for my ipod?
Contact iTunes support and explain your situation to them. They may let you redownload it at no cost.

Hi just bought my first Mac (a 2013 13' MacBook Air). Before I owned this computer I used (and still use) a Windows Desktop. My Windows Desktop (which runs Windows 8.1) has a 1TB Hard Drive that was getting pretty full so I moved all of my iTunes Music, Movies, and TV Shows onto a 2TB external hard drive. This meant that iTunes would open/work even if the external hdd was not plugged in, but only when the external HDD is plugged in do I see all of my downloaded/ripped music/movies/tv shows. Now that I own a Mac I would like to do the same thing - have all of my media on an external drive that is plugged in via USB. So my question is (A) how do I make my itunes media stored on this external HDD accesible to the iTunes on my MacBook, (B) do I need to partition the external HDD to do this, and (C) because I fully intend to keep using the drive with my Windows PC (it stores a complete backup as well as a ton of Steam videogames), will I need to totally erase the drive in order to create such a partition?

I'm getting rid of an old Mac Mini which has it's iTunes library stored on a NAS drive. I want the replacement Mac to reference and use this existing NAS stored iTunes library rather than loading the entire contents onto the new Mac. What do I need to do?
Open iTunes with the option key pressed. You should see a window asking you to choose a library, create a library and cancel. Select choose a library and navigate to the NAS drive.

The money should be taken from your account, if you have sufficient funds in the account. If your purchase goes over the amount that you have in the account, the entire purchase will be put on your credit card, even if you are only pennies over the account balance. -
