ITunes 7 and Video

After installing 7 I can't view pop videos purchased from the Music store. They are fine on my ipod and were on my laptop until I installed version 7.
Video Podcasts and MP4 Videos are the same.

Try this
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Go to: Start menu > Control Panels > QuickTime.
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. Un-check the checkbox next to "Enable Direct3D video acceleration".
5. Open iTunes.
6. Play the video.

I think I could solve my problem:
The CalibratedSoftware application CalibratedMXFOptions seemed to be switched back to the Demo license (it's not clear why?), which terminated the duration of the imported files to 30 seconds. Re-activating the proper license and using the QuickRefresh for FCP application updated these files and made FCP recognizing the proper duration of the MXF an MP4 files.
That was not enough. I opened a new project, saved it and opened parallel the 'damaged' project.
That was all!

Syncing to one itunes, and video location.

my first problem is that i got an itouch and first connected it with a computer and itunes that wasnt mine (family members) but now im using my own computer and itunes and i cant sync my itouch without erasing everything on it. itunes says that the itouch can only be synced to only one itunes.
i want to sync it but i dont want to loose the music i already have.
second problem, is there a video/movie folder in itunes? like there is one for your music and photos? i can import them to itunes but they arnt compatable but still show in the summary/movies page.

movies will appear in Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Movies and tv shows in Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/TV Shows

Latest version itunes and video converter

so i downloaded the new itunes, and installed it. everything is good. it has a new feature to convert videos into the mpeg4 format to put onto the ipod video. here is where my problem lies, i have converted some videos i have on my computer and after they convert, they dont have any sound. I was wondering if anyone else encountered this problem and if there is a fix to it?

iTunes and Quicktime don't much like muxed MPEG files, they lose the sound when you convert them.

HT4859 Why is my backup to my new iphone taking so long. Ive downloaded all the apps, pictures, all settings are back, all contacts are there, all itunes and videos are there. What does Icloud have left to download?

I just got a new replacement Iphone 4s and am trying to back up my IPhone 4s from Icloud and it still says that it is restoring the phone. The issue is that its taken a total of maybe 6 hours and all my apps have been downloaded, all photos have been restored, all settings and contacts restored, all itunes music and videos have been restored. Question is, it still says that the phone is restoring, so what exactly is it still restoring??

That is ironic, but apparently Apple server is "locked" for restore process for three days. During that time it may say it is restoring even past the actual restore time. I have seen where someone successfully stopped that process, by changing apple id password, and where that didn't help to stop process. But 3 days from restore start, that should time out.
Credit goes to Randers, he is the one who gave that info about three days, but I was also able to verify that myself.

Sms, itunes and video question.

i have three basic questions. first, when someone sends me a long sms how do i view the entire message? second, do i have to buy itunes or can i take music that i have already d/l on my comp and put it on the phone? and last but not least, is iphone able to take videos? any and all help would be great. thanx in advance.

Each SMS message has a size limit but you simply scroll with your finger to view the entire message - no different from scrolling to read a long email or scrolling on a website.
The iTunes application is free and you must use iTunes to transfer music to an iPod or iPhone. You need the latest version of Tunes to activate an iPhone with AT&T Wireless so iTunes is required. You can import music from a purchased CD to iTunes and unless you downloaded music from a Windows based site that includes Microsoft's DRM protected music, you should be able to import this music into iTunes.
The iPhone's camera takes still photos only but the ability to capture video can be added as an update which may occur at some point.

Iphoto,itunes and video clips

Hi,
I have an ipod video and sync via itunes (v7) my photos (iphoto v 6) and music. I do have, however, a large number of video clips in both .avi and mpg formats in iphoto. When I sync these dont go across. Anyone know of any anyway that they can?

I thought as much, I was just hopping there may be a button that I had missed that did it automaticly, rather than dragging and dropping 200 clips. Would be a good feature for them to integrate in the next release.

ITunes and Videos

I have the most recent version of iTunes. When I try to play a video, I can hear the sound, but there is no picture. Any ideas?

I have an older iPod. I would think that this would not matter as I wasn't trying to watch it on my iPod, but was trying to watch videos on iTunes on my computer. Basically, what happens is the little section for the video is there, but remains blank.

No speaker sound with itunes and media

The speakers on iphone 4S work fine for all activities with the exception of itunes and video. Speaker phone works; notification works; ringer works. Everything works fine with the earplugs and bluetooth and volume can be adjusted. Speaker works just fine with calls, recordings etc. Just not with music and video apps. Any thoughts?

Please HELP! My kid wiped my iPhone5 and I need to get my photos and videos off it! I have no backup with iTunes :(( Is there a way to scan the device manually?

New to this, so go easy on me. I recently got my first iDevice - an iPhone 5. I've used it for a month now and I have to say I love it.
But, I gave it to my kid this morning to look at. It was locked, so I assumed it was safe. WRONG. 5 mins later, I returned to him and my lovely iPhone5 was at the setup /pick your language screen! Looks like he entered the password incorrectly too many times and wiped it.
Now - I thought it would be fairly easy to recover the data and the apps - but it turns out this is not the case. I was never prompted to install iTunes and sync the device - not in the manual, not on the device when setting it up - so how was I to know that that would be my backup. I checked iCloud at a suggestion of an IT pal - nothing there, despite knowing that I had a Photo stream enabled. I may have disabled it only recently, but not sure if I can manually turn it on again?
Anyway - is there a way to manually scan my device and grab my all important photos and videos?

If you have content on your iPhone that isn't on your computer, the best thing is to use the advice in this article to transfer it to your new computer before setting up sync:

Thanks for responding. Since I upgraded ITUNES to IOS 6, my IPOD Touch no longer works at all. I had numerous apps, music and videos on this touch. It made me restore to factory reset and it still does not work!!! Nothing I do will work on this touch n

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

I recently purchased two videos from the itunes store. I downlooaded them both successfully to my ipad2 Videos App, the next time I synced the ipad the Movies title was erased and the remaing titles: Rentals Podcasts & Music Videos were left, what happed to the Movies title? I am now getting a message saying (my ipad does not support movies I purchased) anyone else experiencing this problem, any suggestions?

There is a few events where I could see this happening...
It's possible if you computer is not authorized with your iTunes Store account it may not have transfered your purchases from the iPad to the computer. To check, Open iTunes> Select the "Store" menu along top of the program and select Authorize this computer. Sign in with your AppleID and password, this will make sure your computer is authorized for the future so you can transfer purchases from your device.

However, if your Movies are missing now you'll need to request to redownload or "regrant" them. Please send an email ticket into iTunes Store via...

Select "Video Purchases" in the grey boxes, then "Lost or Missing Items", then click the link to "Email Us" on the right. Fill out that form and the folks at the iTunes Store should get back to you less than 24 hours.

HT1386 I have a new computer and when I tried to sync my iPod Touch with the new iTunes, it has lost all of my music and videos from my iPod/old iTunes library: including all but 4 songs of my bought songs, videos and audeobooks!

I have recently updated my computer since my old one broke and therefore had to download a new iTunes. When I came to add my iPod to this new iTunes, I was given no option to transfer the contents of my iPod library to this new iTunes and was forced to try 'sync'; when my old computer was repaired once we lost all of our data so I had to download a new iTunes then,all of my iPod downloads were transferred and I could easily reburn my CDs so I didn't think the wiping of my iPod would be a problem. When I clicked 'sync' it warned me that it would replace the contents of my iPod with the new iTunes library, as I said I didn't think this would be a problembut then it asked if it should transfer my recent iTunes downloads so I said 'yes'. The sync was completed but now I only have 4 downloaded songs and 5 albums which I burned to my new iTunes! I have lost all the music I bought, all the videos I bought and all the audiobooks I bought! (Luckily I still have my apps.) I tried to restore backup but realised that only covers calendars, contacts E.T.C and I checked my iTunes account and that shows all my downloads but I can't see a way to restore them or anything like that!
Please help! I am in despair as you can imagine how much moneys worth I have lost and am losing faith in Apple

I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............
