ITunes 7 Destroying my Movies when editing artwork

A few weeks back i began importing my DVD collection to my new iMac, using Visual Hub to take DVD sources (video_ts folders) and converting them to H.264 mp4 files.
I had all of these converted movies (about 30 of them) in my ~/Movies folder, when it dawned on me that I could use iTunes 7 to have a nicer way to look at my movie collection and still be able to browse the movies via Front Row.
The problem started when I tried setting custom art for each movie, once it was imported into iTunes. Apparently, it's not as easy as copy and pasting artwork into the movie's Artwork tab in Get Info in iTunes (for some ungodly reason.)
What happened was deleting the current art, and then hitting Ok would completely hang my entire system. I couldn't even move the mouse. I had to hold the power button down for 6 seconds for it to shut off and then reboot. This happened about 5 times before I was convinced that every time i tried to do this, it would be the same result. Checking out Console.app, i tried to find something telling from System.log and Console.log, and i thought i had found something that pointed to bad ram. However, a thorough 3 pass test with memtest eased those concerns, and the problem points back to iTunes.
If i go into iTunes and select a movie I imported, go to its Artwork tab in Get Info, and delete the current artwork, the movie becomes a full length "movie" of just a white screen and no sound. I cannot for the life of me figure out why deleting artwork consistently (three separate movie files) ruins my movie files.
If i open the files in Quicktime, it's the same thing. But if i look up the movie's properties, it still says i have an audio and video track at the expected bit rate...so i'm not really sure, maybe i can fix these videos as it seems the video is just being masked by an all white screen.
So my question is three-fold:
1) Why does deleting the artwork from a movie in iTunes render the entire movie file useless?
2) Is there a way to fix this?
3) Is there a way to add custom artwork (perhaps the movie's poster art from Wikipedia) to a movie file in iTunes without it destroying my movie?
Please help!
I should mention that i tried redoing the artwork on a brand new OS X user, and got the same results...a white-screened movie with no sound.

2.33 GHz iMac C2D, 2GB ram

Layout moves when editing

I'm new to DW and know nothing about html coding or css. Please bare iwth me. I'm having a problem with the layout. I used a template from photoshop that I sliced and imported into dreamweaver. The layout looks good, but when I add content or change headers all the pictures in my template moves around. Is there a way to make it so that my template doesn't not move when I'm adding content?

Symbol editing and orientation - symbol moves when edited

This issue has slowed down my Illustrator work for a while, so I thought I'd ask for advice.
I have a symbol in my document – for example, a set of tabs for a website interface.
When I make any changes to a symbol that result in new dimensions (changing the height of the tabs from 40px to 50px), this results in all instances of that symbol moving around on the canvas. In this example, the symbol would move up by 5px (half of the difference between the old and new heights). I then have to move each instance of that symbol back into its intended place, which is time-consuming.
I wondered if the "Flash registration" orientation widget that shows up in the symbol creation dialog box would force the symbol to align to a certain location, but it seems to have no effect on the symbol inside of Illustrator. The symbol stays permanently aligned to its original centerpoint, regardless of any subsequent changes, and can't be made to align to anywhere other than that centerpoint. It would be really useful to force alignment to the top left, for example.
Any suggestions?

You do realize, don't you, that after editing the Symbol, you can...:
Symbol palette: Select the Symbol you edited.
Symbol palette flyout menu: Select All Instances.
DoubleClick the black pointer tool. Enter move distances.
...thereby repositioning all Instances in one move?

Are movies and Tv Shows in the iTunes store un-cut or edited such as The Tudors. I want to but the series but I don't want the edited version.

Any idea when the movies and series become available elsewhere
This has been said here many, many times already, but again, they'll be available if and when the owners of the content - the networks, production companies and movie studios - allow Apple to sell them in Finland and other countries. When, or indeed if, that will happen, no one here knows or can say, though as Zevoneer said, Apple at the time movies were announced said that they hoped to be able to offer movies internationally sometime in 2007. Nothing has been said at all that would lead me to believe that TV shows are likely to be offered outside the US in the forseeable future, though we can hope.

Unless the content owners all get together and agree to allow cross-border sales, something they don't allow now for any download store, that will never happen.
Sorry, but it's all controlled by the content owners and for the most part completely out of Apple's hands.

I think I have the answer.
I was experiencing the exact same problem. I tried lots of different things but what I think works is to exclude your iTunes folder from Spotlight. Open the System Preference for Spotlight, click on the Privacy tab, and then drag your iTunes folder (in your user/Music folder) into that window pane. In fact, I think it is faster when I am fixing tags!

Did you rent the movie on your iPad? Are you trying to watch it on your iPad?
Do you have WiFi connectivity when trying to start viewing the movie?
You should have answered "yes" to all the above. If not, that is probably the source of your issue.

Never mind I fixed it. Just in case anyone else has this problem, after you reinstall iTunes you have to delete all your old music, and if you have iTunes match all the songs you have saved on itunes match will display and you just have to download them to your Macbook.

I hate iTunes. It continues to download HD versions of movies when I tell it not to. The movie I want is 4.4 gigs. I have deleted all my apps and half my songs and still don't have enough space. iTunes is near impossible to navigate.

I have downloaded Oblivion six times and it continues to bring the HD version. I have unchecked the "Download HD when available" but I continue to get a file that is 4.4 gigs large.
I hate iTunes.

You purchased the HD version, not the regular version. It will continue to download the version you bought. If you want the SD version you have to shell out for it. Apple doesn't do returns.
Watch your movie. You can always put other stuff back on later, especially music.

ITunes has stopped working when adding movies

This issue began today, haven't had any trouble with this before. I have my movies on my iTunes, in there perfectly fine. Today I went to add more movies to my iTunes library. I use Windows, so I went to the 'Add Files to Library...' option in the top left, added a video. It didn't take any loading time, which seemed a bit out of the ordinary, then I tried to play it and my iTunes completely crashed. When I open my iTunes back up, the movie is gone completely. I have tried restarting my iTunes, restarting my computer, reinstalling iTunes, adding movies in different ways (dragging and dropping), but nothing has worked so far.
I'm fairly sure this isn't a format issue, as it's stopped working for .m4v files and .mp4 files, I've tried converting one to the other and nothing has for it to load properly into iTunes.
