Itunes 7 download will not start

After I click on the "Download Itunes-Free" button, it takes me to the "Thank you for downloading Itunes" page.
1 of 2 things happens next.
1)The Webpage constantly loads without bringing up an option to download. It is stuck loading this address: switch.atdmt.com
or
2)The download box comes up and I chose to save. But the download is constantly stuck in "download starting..." It has been stuck on this for 2+ hours before.
I have windows xp with the latest critical patches.
This occurs when using the latest versions of both firefox and IE.
I have tried turning off my firewall/adblock/virus protection and it does the same thing
Anyone seen this before? Or have a work around?

i've seen this sort of symptom produced by pop-up blockers. and web acceleration software.
if you switch off all your pop-up blockers and/or web acceleration software, does the download go through properly for you?

iTunes/Quicktime will not start. Nor will anything quicktime dependant start. (Like Adobe Go Live) I recently reformated one of my Windows PCs and reinstalled m$ windows xp pro. I begain installing nessacary software and when I was done with iTunes/Quicktime (Why the heck is it now bundled?) it would not start. Could it be a codec conflict problem? I also tried reinstalling iTunes/Quciktime and nothing changed...

here's what we'll try first with that one.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

next use the QuickTime component of the complete uninstall instructions in the following document as a guide to a manual removal of leftover QuickTime program files and folders.

once we've got all the existing QuickTime scraped away, let's try another careful standalone QT 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?

Update Download will not start

I have tried and tried to update my iTunes and also to get the iPod update...nothing works...the problem is that the download will not start. I have turned off my anti-virus (which made me mad that I should even have to try such a dangerous thing) and my firewall (again not good). nothing. downloaded everything that I was told to...nothing...it wont even try to start...I just go to the site and I'm sitting there wondering where I go for the download...at first I thought it was a bad link but it wasn't. help would be appreciated.

hmmmmm. are you seeing a blank blue box rather than download options? or do you get to click the button, but the download doesn't proceed?

The new version i download will not start or even open the window when clicking on the icon

just will not start, tried using the Run progarm and still noting tired removing the firefox program and downloading again same issue

Downloaded, will not start

downloaded firefox, have icon on desktop and under start. nothing happens when clicking either. removed firefox and downloaded again = same problem. will not start, no error messages.
made firefox default but will still not start. still have AOL on machine. could that be the problem? AOL runs fine when I click on it but firefox does nothing.

Itunes download does not start automatically

I have done a search of these forums (fora???) and many seem to have had this problem - has it ever been resolved to anyone's satisfaction???
When I click the 'download' button to download the latest itunes it says the download will start automatically but it never does, the page just sits there doing nothing
I have had no problem downloading for anywhere else on the web and indeed have got the latest itunes from http://www.vnunet.com/articles/download/2129121
where it downloaded fine.

One of the 3 is most likly blocking you, Its your firewall,antivirus, or the browser you use, like its filters or pop up blockers.
I've seen this issue come up before for Firefox users, and you have to turn off one of the filters, I have forgot which one it is tho

ITunes downloads will not play on my PC . . .

but they will play on my iPad2 through iCloud. There are no errors next to the songs and the downloads were successful--but I can only play them on the one device. The biggest issue is I want to download them onto my shuffle for running--and I have to do that from my laptop, which will not play the songs.

Lion Download will not start

I just got my free copy of Lion through the up to date program and i clicked install in the Mac App store. The lion icon is in my dock with a progress bar beneath it but so far it shows no signs of starting and it has not asked me anything about which disk to install it to.
I am using a MacBook Pro 15" 2.0Ghz.

Open the purchases tab on the Mac Store window and you will find the download graph.
It will download first then you install. Have fun.
No doubt the servers are running hot.

Itunes 5 will not start at all

I upgraded to Itunes 5 and it just hangs. I am using OS 10.3.9. I found out that if I re-start my computer with shift key pressed, like OS 9 used to do, it will open it. I'm Trying to find out what is causing Itunes 5 to hang like that. I did the same upgrade on my Power book using 10.3.7 and it works fine. I wish I would have seen this page before the upgrade. I would have kept 4.9. Please HELP!!!! THANKS

I didn't even noticed about quicktime 7. Same thing here. I went back to 6.5.2 and now it works. THANKS!!!!! But are you saying I have to go back to Itunes 4.9. If yes, how did you do it? Thanks again.

Do you have any devices connected to your computer such as printers, webcams, etc?
Try removing them if you do. I've seen some cases of this and sometimes unplugging these devices will work.
I'd also suggest running MSconfig to ensure that there's no conflicting software. You can get all that information here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2292
Another suggestion would be trying to create a test user (Admin privileges would be necessary). If it's able to install in that user account, you know it's something with the user. But if the installation is successful, it should install system wide.

I download the file and click on run and then it will ask if I want to allow program to make changes, and I click yes...
That's it...the download installer never comes up...I have tried several times to download firefox...

I have a new Windows 7 install on my new hard drive. When I select the download button to download Adobe Acrobat X nothing happens.

Firefox 4 download will not start after the download is complete. It just doesn't run (Windows Vista), and can't be found in the program list. Solutions?

I have tried to open it both as the original user and as administrator. Nothing happens after I indicate that it should open

I was able to work the problem out by logging in as administrator. When the download was finished and extracted, a choice was offered to save rather than run. So I saved it on the desktop, and then right clicked on the icon, and selected "run as administrator". It then ran and installed with no problem.
