where are all my musicvideos and short-movies i converted and importet to itunes 6 now in itunes 7 ??? there is no category "music-videos" .. are they lost???
where are the equalizer-button ???
where are the visual-effects-button ???
visual-effects only full-screen ???
where is aqua gone ???

good idea to downgrade to version 6!!
i just saw .. itunes have created a playlist "musicvideos" in my own playlist section. aha. but why there isn't any longer the "musicvideos" section in the category libraries ???
i also found the equalizer .. under the view-menue .. WITH NO SHORTCUT to open!! no button, no shortcut!!
what's going on here??!!! is this the new mediaplayer v12vista-edition?!?

Report it to the police. Report it to your wireless service provider. Attempt to use BB Protect to wipe it clean. Outside of that, there is nothing to be done. If your personal issues prevent you from carrying this out, then you must consider all of your data on your BB to be compromised.

I use XP. When I open Itunes a mewssage comes up saying, Itune drivers are missing ,please reinstall. I reinstall and I get the same message. I use to be able to use Itunes for copying ,etc. but now I can't.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Im wondering if anyone can help me. I recently got a reply to a post that I wrote about deleting duplicated files. Mainly MP3s. I have not done this method yet though. Does it work? I have around 9000 mp3s that Itunes seems to always duplicate and I need to get rid of them. Can I open one of my ex-Harddrives that pretty much hold mp3s and run this command? Im looking for a completely faster method than individually deleting them in Itunes. One last question too. Where do I type this command? If anyone can help me Id greatly appreciate it. If none of the original filenames contains the lettering " copy", you can do what you want quite easily.
Open Terminal, navigate to the folder that contains the files, and enter the following command (exactly as it appears here):
rm *" copy"*
That's all there is to it. All 9000 duplicate files will be removed very quickly.
If you need help "navigating to the folder" or if some of your original filenames contain the lettering “ copy”, then post back here.

For starters, titling your post with something as inane as that will only get you inane answers.
You say that iTunes duplicated your song files, so the reply given by the advice is erroneous. If the files were duplicated by Finder the advice would be halfway valid, since it would only work for one folder. Ouch
There are 2 kinds of duplicates:
1) If you have iTunes set to "Keep music folder organized" and also "Copy song files when adding to library". Right? If so, iTunes will copy all your song files to a folder named after the artist and album in the song file's data fields. Problem is, iTunes will not delete the originals, that may be why you have 9000 songs you don't want. I typically see thousands of duplicated and unwanted song files clogging people's Macs, which is stupid.
2) Files actually duplicated twice or more in iTunes, This happens if you add the song twice or more, or different songs have duplicate names.
Type 2 is easy to delete. Open a Finder window and press cmd-f for "Find". A special window will open. Make sure the button "Home" is selected. For "Kind" select "Music". In the field in the upper right, type "1.m" (without the quotes). iTunes renames duplicate files with a number according to the number of duplicates, so this way you can check 1,2,3,4 or any number of suspected duplicates and drag them to the trash. In a Find window, you can select all, or bulk by using command and/or shift-up/down keys.
So try that and see how many you delete. If you have many after that I will answer the kind of duplicate #1.

HT4352 I can not find any settings for iTunes where are they?

I have set up home sharing on my Apple TV and now I am supposed to turn on home sharing on my ipad. There are no settings in iTunes on my ipad. I have spent hours looking for them, they donotexist. I have all sorts of options to look formusicandmovies and photos butthere is no"advanced" settings, and thereis no "file - settings - advanced". There is also no setting forhomesharing, no icons. It is not in iTunes on your iPad.

Because it is in iTunes on your computer because that is what AppleTV uses to play videos.

"Points", where are they, please?

My first Post written on “Points where did they go?” was written to intentionally not be Posted but raise an eyebrow to internal-Apple or who ever does the calculation of Points. Thank You.

I have a total accumulation of 1-5 total points. This seems odd after I noticed there are 109,313 hits on my previous Postings.
So my question would be: Are Points still being calculated, it’s been over 18 months and still nothing? Points in the past have extreme value and I consider them of great use so my second question: Where did they go? Does anyone else see any correlation of their point total with mine i.e. non -existent. I highly encourage anyone who sees a discrepancy like mine (109,313 hits and a total points accumulation of 1-5) ask what happened. Wheree aare they, where did they go? If so Research and inquire where do the points go or do they have any value or just what is going on.
[As a side note: after my eye brow raising question to internal-Apple or whoever does these calculations... there are tools that suddenly appeared. They weren’t there a few days ago and previously of 18 months ago. -so- I am happy to say in a humble voice sometimes to raise an eyebrow without vulgarity has a place in the diction of English grammar.

You have 5 points (not 1 - 5) and that means you're level 1. Having 5 points means that there is one person who thought your post was helpful and they awarded you the 5 "helpful" points.
Number of hits is irrelevant. No one at Apple awards points - only an original poster can, but it is not mandatory. Asking for points violates the ToU of the forums and the hosts will usually delete such posts.

Just downloaded itunes - where are my previous purchases?

Hi, I just downloaded itunes on my PC. I have purchased many songs from itunes in the past. (However, the computer from which I made those purchases got refreshed.)
Anyway, I'm not sure what to do to see my purchases in iTunes. I have logged in. I have authorized the PC. (Currently, it is the only computer authorized.)
I don't see a Purchased folder. Why not?
If I go to Store->View my Account, I can see my recent purchase history. So why aren't those purchases visible in the folders?

Your purchases will only be where you put them. They do not magically appear on a new computer.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backcup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup , not good, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

Itunes where are you!!??

I own and iPad 2 and when I go onto the Music app and try to open the iTunes store, it registers my finger but it doesn't open the store. It like refuses to respond. Please help me!!!

Looked up DNT:1 and reference to "Firefox Preferences" .. "Advanced panel" and "Privacy panel" yet I can't find ANY OF THESE ... Where are they please?

I know some find this type of knowledge simple, but it's frustrating for an old non-geek like me. I tried to sign up for the mailing list about DNT:1 ... but when I clicked on "subscribe" a small window opened, telling me I had "no email program associated.." and to "create an association in the Default Programs control panel". I went to my Control Panels and Default Programs, but could not find ANYTHING in there to enable me to associate my email address TO ANYTHING. So much computer jargon ASSUMES the user knows the jargon. I'm not stupid... I have a degree and Post Grad qualifications, but I am not a mind reader even at close range - let alone online.
Why is something important as Advanced panel, Preferences or Privacy panel nowhere to be seen on my Firefox browser page?

Where the files are that you are playing in iTunes will depend on how you have iTunes configured. If in iTunes>Preferences>Advanced>General you have the boxes "Keep iTunes Music folder organised" and "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" checked then the file iTunes uses this file structure to organise things:
User/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Artist/Album/File name
There are also folders for compilations, podcasts, TV shows, movies, games, and unknown.
If you aren't letting iTunes do the organising then files you add to the library will be in the folders you originally stored them in. To tell where a file in the library is located, right click on it (hold down Control and click when using a one button mouse or pad) and choose "Show in Finder", this will take you directly to where the file is kept.

I was downloading Xcode for Lion from MAS. The download was almost 90% complete and then my Mac shut down because the battery ran out
(strangely, it didn't go to safe sleep/hibernate ). Can I restore the partially downloaded file from a Time Machine backup? If not, then I will have to start over again.

A PDF is a PDF. If it is an app then it isn't a PDF unless it is an app that is supposed to install the PDF somewhere in which case I wouldn't trust it. From where did this originate? If it is some unknown web site there are plenty with fake links that say you are downloading one thing but they send you another in hope that you will blindly install some malware. Usually they target Windows users but there's getting to be some for Mac (in particular MacKeeper).
