ITunes 8.0 Error When Exiting Visualizer

Hello,
I am running windows vista and just updated itunes to 8.0. Whenever I try to close the visualizer out of full screen by clicking my mouse I get a windows error message that reads "iTunes has stopped working" and requires the program to close. Any one else gtting this?

I'm also running vista and am getting a similar thing. I have my visualizer set to go to full screen when it's turned on. When I turn on visualizer my screen and music freeze for a sec, then the music will keep playing but the screen will be black, like the video card can't handle the graphics or something. I can click out of it and the music keeps playing, but sometimes it will shut down like yours. Vista even alerted that my visual driver recovered successfully, that tells me there's something going on with the visualizer and our graphics cards! I was just on my computer and tried it again, stupid me, and now I think my computer completely crashed! If anyone out there is running vista I would suggest going back to the old version of iTunes. Does anyone have any ideas to what is going on?

  • InDesign CS5 DDE Error when exiting

One of my users gets a DDE error when she exits out of InDesign.
"DDE Server Window: InDesign.exe - Application Error
The Intruction at '0x##############' referenced memory at '0x##############'.  The memory could not be 'read'.
Click on OK to terminate the program"
She is using InDesign CS5 with the latest update applied.  I believe it was 7.04.  She is also using XP sp 3.  I've tried resetting her preferences, as I noticed was recommended, by pressing ctrl + shift +alt on boot and rename the file name from the user folder.  Neither fixed the issue.  If I start a new file it doesn't have this error on closing, but it happens when loading up an old file and closing out.
    Thanks

That sort of worked.  When I ran the initial export of the file and closed
there was no error.  If I opened the newly created idml file and closed it
would throw the same error.  I decided to look into a theory I had about
saving.  I loaded the original file that was giving me trouble.  I made a
small change, saved the file, and closed.  The error did not come.  I opened
the file again and closed.  The error was produced.  It seems it happens
when you load an existing file and don't save/export your work.

  • "An internal error has occurred" error when exiting

hey Adobe you've got a bug in your updater...
    read here:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3c06325e/0
I also experience this weird "An internal error has occurred" when quitting Acrobat 8.1.2 its there since the very minute i updated from 8.1... now i wish i could revert the update...
UPDATES ARE SUPOSED TO IMPROVE THINGS NOT BREAK THEM !!
Can anybody solve this ? I dont want to be force-quitting acrobat forever...

---- PROBLEM SOLVED IN MY CASE ------
    this is what i did:
I have Acrobat 8.0.0 installed as a part of Creative Suite CS3 installation...
1- i ran the Creative Suite CS3 installer
2- i choose UNINSTAL Acrobat 8 only, leaving the rest of CS3 suite installed, its very important to UNINSTALL and not REINSTAL or REPAIR as REINSTALL or REPAIR doesnt help anything...
3- after UNINSTALLING Acrobat 8 i used DiskOrder (or any good file manager which can search inside hidden and system folders) and searched for the word "Acrobat"
4- i got about 70 results (mostly folders in Prefrences, Cache, etc.) i deleted manually everything related to Acrobat - that was pretty risky but i was lucky...
5- i ran Creative Suite CS3 installer which gave me a new option INSTAL ACROBAT 8.0
6- INSTALLED ACROBAT 8.0 and WITHOUT restarting i IMMEDIATELLY applied 8.1 and 8.1.2 updates
    7- restart
    DONE
NO MORE "An internal error has occurred" MESSAGE WHEN EXITING ACROBAT

  • ITunes for Windows - Error when burning 4651

A friend of mine is having a problem with iTunes. Everytime he tries to burn a CD, iTunes gives an error - error 4651. Anyone know what that means. I am pretty sure he is running XP.
I told him to upgrade iTunes and see if that helps. He had iTunes 7.0 - should 7.2 fix the problem?

hmmmm. is it possible to post a copy of his DVD/CD diagnostics for us to look at?
(to get those, in iTunes go "help > run diagnostics", select DVD/CD diagnostics. the output can be saved as a text file, so if the complete contents of that could be pasted into a reply here, that would be excellent.)

  • Why Labview.exe error when exit simple-state machine?

Can someone please help me figure out why, unless I ABORT the VI, I get a "Labview.exe is closing" error when I press Stop. I am using a simple-state machine like what comes with Labview's examples. What could be some causes of this? I have read that not closing all files first can cause an error but it seems to me like I have them all closed.
I am running LabVIEW 6.1 on Windows 2000. In my Initialize state I use Global and Local variables. Could these cause problems?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

I do an AI Clear after data is acquired. I don't open up any AI functions in the "INITIALIZE" state, so I think the only AI Clear I need is where it is. WHat do you mean print the front panel without errors. I see its set to "print at completion" (the computer I use does not have a printer connection) but do you mean save the front panel to file without errors?
Could there be an error in these subVIs that causes the program to shut down?

  • Error when exiting iTunes after 7.7 update

I installed the 7.7 update, and everything seems to be working as it did before, except when I exit iTunes I get Microsoft error. When I click on possible solutions, Microsoft tells me it is an iTunes error and directs me to Apple to download the latest version(the same version I have, 7.7). As I said before iTunes seems to working fine, it kept all my files, updated my iPhone to the 2.0 software, sync's as should etc..
Any ideas as to what the problem could be? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Okay. Do you have any third-party iTunes plug-ins/add-ons installed?
(They can sometimes produce similar symptoms if they were written for an earlier version of iTunes, and they aren't liking a new version ... last time I can think of a major outbreak of add-on-related crashes-when-quitting was with the transition from iTunes versions 6.0.x to 7.0.x, though.)

  • Error when exiting from ANY JavaFX app. (any workaround?)

I've had an ongoing problem when working with JavaFX, and even using applications created with it like SceneBuilder and FXExperience tools. As I reported in this bug: http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-27458 , any time I exit from any application that uses JavaFX, I get an error. My bug turned out to be a duplicate, and looking at the other report, it seems to be a result of the combination of the ATI-Radeon graphics card, Ubuntu, and JavaFX. It doesn't seem to matter whether the app is solely JavaFX, or embedded in Swing, whether it is installed as a native bundle or run directly from class files, or an executable jar. If it uses JavaFX and I run it, when I close it I get this error. It also doesn't matter whether I use jdk7 or an early-access build of jdk8.
This is becoming increasingly irritating as I further explore the technology and begin trying to work with it, going beyond simply following tutorials and whatnot, because it means I frequently run my programs to see if they actually work, and am much more frequently using tools like SceneBuilder. It doesn't seem to matter whether I run things from the command line, start them from an IDE, or in the case of installed applications, run them through Ubuntu's Launcher or Dash, when I exit I get an error message and an error log shows up somewhere. Especially when testing an application I'm working on, these logs quickly clutter up my directories and become an annoyance.
Does anyone have any suggestions or workarounds which might help avoid some of the annoyances from the problem? I have the ability to dual-boot Windows 7, and as the problem becomes increasingly annoying, have given some thought to doing my development there. However, I'm really not very comfortable in Windows, and it would involve making some pretty big changes to my workflow, so this isn't my favorite option.
I imagine that using another distro like Linux Mint would probably continue to have the same issues, since I think it would be using the same drivers for the graphics.
Changing computers is not currently an option for me. I'd love a Mac to develop on, but that's just not possible currently.
If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, workaround or tips I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Why does iTunes create disk errors when deleting movie files?

I use a Macbook Pro, OSX 10.7.5. When I delete movie file from my iTunes library I get disk errors. I need to option boot select the recovery disk and repair the disk.  Deleting a movie file I have placed on my desktop with finder does not create any errors.  Most of the movie files are created as .m4v movies. They all play just fine with my Apple TV. I have tried turning off the Apple TV and rebooting before I delee files but nothing seems to work.
    Any ideas?
    Lance

If you let iTunes organise your media folders then that is the way it is. An option would be to change the Media Kind to TV Show which would gather them togther in one folder, but in a different part of the library.

  • Error when exit by 'X' from called form

I am in a form and I call another form. I delete something on the called form then click the 'X' in the right hand corner of the form without saving my change first - a message is displayed QMS-00158: Do you want to save your changes? When I click on 'Yes' a window appears with a title that says 'Errors and Warnings in this transaction' with no other information - when I select 'OK' the window remains displayed and a message at the bottom of the screen says "FRM-40738 Argument 1 to builtin GO_BLOCK cannot be null" - the only way to close the window is to click on the called form and exit it then everything is OK.
If I save my changes first everything is fine - it is only when I try to exit the called form before saving that this happens.
    Any ideas of why?

    Hi Pradeep,
I am facing the same issue, Can you please give me some inputs on this..
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Contact iTunes Store Support error when creating new apple ID

This is for a business.  We currently have a combination of over 150 ipads and iphones and will be adding another 20+ per month.
I am currently setting a quantity of ipads up for employees and preconfiguring them with their own itunes account.  In this batch, I was able to set up the first 7 with no problems.  On number 8 I keep hitting a roadblock with the message "Contact iTunes Store Support to complete this transaction". when I try to Create the Apple ID.  I have had this problem before when I hit a limit (although I don't know what that number of ID's was).
These accounts do not have a credit card associated with them.  To create them I am going through the route of being in iTunes with no user logged in.  I go to the App Store and search for iBooks.  Then try to purchase it which pops up the login/create account screen.  I go through the screens adding the email address, password, security questions on the first data page.  Then add none for payment options and add the address.  When I click Create Apple ID I get that error message in the upper right corner.
On all of these accounts I am creating them with the same security questions, address and phone number.  These devices are all based out of the same office so the address and phone numbers will be the same.  I keep the security questions the same as it would be a nightmare tracking all of the different variations for hundreds of accounts.  The only thing different between them is the username/email and the password.
It would be really nice if Apple gave a way to create apple ID's for business purposes in bulk instead of creating them one at a time.  I will be setting up 20 new ipads per month for at least the next year.

Looks like I may have found a work around solution to this problem.  It appears that there is a flag or something on the computer that is not allowing me to create more ID's on that computer.  As of this morning I was still unable to create any more ID's from that system.
I tried creating the same ID on another computer and was able to with no problems.
This does lead to a problem as I am setting up 20+ new ID's a month and typically work from one computer to do so.
I really wish that Apple provided a way for companies to create new Apple ID's in groups using a batch process instead of creating them one at a time.  Or at least allowed you to create a new Apple ID with no credit card associated during the configuration process of the ipads.

  • HELP! iTunes is encountering errors when I plug in my iPod

I have an 8-gig second generation iPod Touch. For a few months now I have been unable to sync my iPod due to the fact that when I plug it in it says that "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close", I've sent an error report numerous times but, as you know, that doesn't help.
I can still load music onto my iTunes and it works fine, also, my brother (who had the exact same iPod and uses the same PC as me) is fine with his iPod, he can sync it and everything. Can someone tell me what on Earth is happening?!
    Thanks, in advance.

"Faulting application itunes.exe, version 9.0.2.25, faulting module quicktime.qts, version 7.65.17.80, fault address 0x00909a47."
Hmmmm. If we take it at its word, it's an issue with your QuickTime. I'm not convinced that that's the fundamental cause of your issue here, Zypo, but we should probably first try swapping out your QuickTime just in case.
Download and save a fresh copy of the "standalone" QuickTime installer to your hard drive (don't run the install on line). Get the version that doesn't mention iTunes:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Quit iTunes if you have it open. (ITunes uses QuickTime, and if iTunes is open, it'll interfere with the uninstall.)
Now head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel. Uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we'll clear away any leftover QuickTime program files or folders.
    (1) In "My Computer" open "Local Disk (C:)" or whichever drive your program files are installed on.
    (2) Open the "Program files" folder.
    (3) Right-click on the QuickTime folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
    (4) Go back into "Local Disk (C:)" or whichever drive your program files are installed on.
    (5) Open the "Windows" folder.
    (6) Open the "system32" folder.
    (7) Check for the presence of a QuickTime and a QuickTimeVR file. If either file still exists, delete each of them.
Empty the Recycle Bin and restart the PC. Now reinstall QuickTime by doubleclicking the QuickTimeInstaller.exe file you downloaded earlier.
Does the install go through okay? If so, try launching iTunes and plugging in the ipod again.
Still crashing, or does it work better this time?

  • Firefox 4 displays "Could not launch Acrobat" error when exiting

    Firefox 4
    Adobe Reader X installed
    OS: Win7 Pro
Every time I exit Firefox, whether I view a PDF file or not, I get an error message, saying "Could not launch Acrobat."
I've manually gone Options, Applications and changed them to use Acrobat Reader, but the problem persists.
The only way I've solved the problem is to reinstall Firefox 3.6.16.
Any suggestions? I'd like to use Firefox 4, but won't until this issue is resolved.

Have no solutions to this problem been found? It seems many people have it. I get the error on start up and when shutting down Firefox.

  • ITunes returning 404 error when submitting working podcast feed

I am trying to submit a podcast to the iTunes Directory but iTunes is returning a "bad http result code:404" error. This is a known good feed verified by both feedvalidator.org and iTunes U. Feedvalidator shows an encoding error ("utf-8" vs. "US-ASCII"), but otherwise has no problem. Feed is here: http://itunesmedia.seu.edu/Chapel/2013_Chapel/rss.xml. Thanks.

No obvious answer here. The feed looks fine and can be subscribed to manually in Tunes perfectly well.
The encoding error you mention occurs a lot and doesn't normally seem to cause any problems. Error 404 is 'file not found'.
We have seen cases where perfectly good feeds couldn't be read by the Store: I've never seen an expanation, and my guess - and I emphasize it is a guess - is that the server is for some reason not responding to requests from the Store when it does to all other requests.
You could start by leaving it for a bit and trying again in case it's some sort of temporary glitch. If it still doesn't work I can only suggest you ask the people running your server if they can check the server logs for when this happened.

  • HT1923 removed itunes after getting error when trying to update. restarted computeer and now i can't download it

I'm trying to re-install i-tunes on my PC but it won't let me. I had an error message when i loaded i-tunes and then uninstalled it as instructed. what do i do now?

After I did that I tried to install and it just tells me "Thank you for using itunes" without actually installing it.
Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
