Itunes 8 load but doesn't start
Hi guys
Well, as written in the topic, i've the following problem: when I double click the itune icon, the mouse pointer changes his shape, as if it's loading something. But after that, nothing happens.
itune process is in the process list ( i've checked it in the task manager), so i don't think the problem is due to a crash of the application ... it's just that the the "gui" doen't show (it doesn't even appears the licence agreement that usually appears at the firt start).
I've Windows Xp as OS, and a 2GB ram module, so no ram problems... can someone help me?

ITunes loads but doesn't appear
I recently upgraded to the newest version of iTunes (I think 10) and upgraded my iOS for my iPhone to 5 when I reconnected my phone iTunes would not open to get backup files for my iPhone so I was forced to set my phone up as a new iPhone. Yet, iTunes still doesn't open. I can see it in the processes tab of the task manager yet it won't appear on my screen. I've run out of options and read every link on my google searches and apple help pages. Can anyone suggest something? Things I've tried
1. uninstalling iTunes, reinstalling and then restarting my PC
2. Right clicking iTunes > Run as > new user
3. Setting up a new user profile
4. ending iTunes process in task manager and restarting iTunes...appears in task manager as iTunes.exe but does not appear on screen
5. changing startup and services options in msconfig - bonjour, apple mobile device and itunes all ticked
6. right clicking iTunes > Properties > fiddling with user permissions
Connecting my iPhone doesn't seem to work either. I get the 2 chimes when I connect but nothing happens...not even the windows what would you like to do dialog. Has iTunes lost permissions along the way somewhere?

check the following things:
1st: Where are you bouncing to, and in which format? Make sure you have selected the correct format, the correct filename and that the filename is the same in the ID3 Tag settings menu within the mp3 bounce dialog, so that you can find the song later in iTunes.
2nd: Look if the song has been added to iTunes with another filename. Also check that in iTunes the option is enabled to copy the new songs into the iTunes Library when importing.
Make sure iTunes is running when you do your bounce.

I've updated to 7.0.2. Whenever I try and play a song in iTunes, the song is has the small speaker symbol by it, the song looks like it should play but then acts like it's in pause mode. Every song I try to play acts the same way. Can somebody help me?

those symptoms can sometimes be caused by a subtly-damaged QuickTime. (itunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.)
so let's try swapping out your QuickTime.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and start itunes again. does it play properly now? -
Please help! I am trying to get at my iPod (2nd_Generation) from a new computer. I have iTunes loaded but the Setup Assistant doesn't come up to allow me to access my iPod Shuffle. When using iPod in the 1st computer (which I no longer have), the iTunes Setup Assistant comes up but not on this 2nd setup on a new computer? The manual doesn't clarify how to do this. Thanks.

need help MacBook 2007 won't start up all of the way it gets the loading circle thing then it just keeps going and a bar thing pops up to load but doesn't and about a few minutes and it shut off. I don't have a disk for the computer or another Mac so what do I do?
I don't have the disk and i tried the shift key and it didn't do anything, i have tried like everything but it won't work and i was givin this computer with a charger and that is all nothing came with it and i don't think that it had the lion thing on it either i never got to that it just won't turn on and i have another mac that was a family members but it won't turn on either at all it won't load anything the screen stays black. so i don't really know at all what to do is there anything else? i don't want to take it anywhere because i have no money for that, and i need this computer for school. Any sugestions?

recently my phone updated to ios 7, it wont let me sign into my iphone app store to download apps,i click on an app i want and it just clicks but doesn't start to download, i can see thats its not signed in so i tried to re set up my account under the app store in settings , but its just a grey area and wont let me click to input any information. this happened right after i updated my phone, any help?

Ipod suffle 3g recognized by iTunes but doesn't start! (water damage)
My ipod shuffle 3G has a water damage. it shows the red/pink indicator.
It doesn't starts but it connects to iTunes. I can move songs to my iPod shuffle and other stuffs. But it doesn't start.
I have opened my iPod shuffle. It had green sedimentation in it. I cleaned it but it still doesn't start and is still recognized by iTunes.
Does anybody have an idea what the reason could be?If it doesn't power on when you try to use it, the damage may be to the battery. When it's connected, it is getting power from the USB connection, so it works. When you disconnected, the battery does not hold a charge, so it is dead.
Since you know how to open it, you may want to try leaving it open in a dry ventilated place for a few days. If the cause is moisture shorting something out, when the moisture evaporates, it may work again. -

ITunes freezes (but doesn't crash) while iPhone is connected
Hello all.
Connecting my iPhone 4 to my computer immediately freezes iTunes. As soon as I unplug it, iTunes starts working again. I have iOS 4.3 and iTunes 10.2.1.1. I've tried drastic measures to fix the issue with no success:
-Fully reinstalled iTunes multiple times
-Deleted all media from my library (including music, photos, movies, podcasts, etc)
-Deauthorized/Authorized computer
-Disabled all non-iPhone services & startup items per apple's support site
-Created a new Win7 user
-Tried different usb cables/ports
-Deleted all settings/files/etc from iPhone
-Restored iOS software multiple times
It baffles my mind that a freshly wiped iPhone plugged into a freshly installed iTunes with no media has these serious issues. What else can I do (short of reinstalling Win7, which I probably will try later)?
A few more details:
-The phone connects just fine to my macbook.
-This issue started after an Amazon MP3 import went bad. I'm not sure if this is the cause, though. It worked fine for six months before this.
-iTunes recognized the iPhone a few times during the troubleshooting process (for example, directly after a fresh iTunes install (but not after every fresh iTunes install)). If it ever recognized it, I could sync media just fine. But as soon as I unplugged and re-plugged the iPhone, the issue reappeared.
I'd appreciate any help.

Loads of people have a sync problem with the latest iTunes and Windows 7 x64, although it does appear to be affecting some Mac users as well.

iTunes completely freezes the second any IOS device is connected, and unfreezes as soon as it is disconnected. This makes syncing impossible and renders the device useless as a media player.
Is anyone working on this? It would be nice if Apple staff occasionally gave some input in the forums so we know if a bug is known to you or not.

There seems to be a major problem with video playbacks both from web sites and YouTube. If I click on a video the loading circle shows it is loading but either the video starts for 2-3 seconds and stops, or it won't start at all. At the bottom of the screen there is a section that shows individual thumbnails for the video and that shows that the video has loaded, but it refuses to play. I just tried a youtube video on my iPhone and the same thing is happening. Some occasional videos seem to work okay but I have spent much time trying to watch clips.
Use SpeedTest to test the speed of your internet. If slow, contact your ISP to confirm if the problem is on their end.
You have 2 versions of QT. Version 7.x is inside your Utility folder. Try that one.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

WRT54G wireless is trying to load but doesn't get anywhere!
I have a macbook and a WRT54G with the latest firmware (just updated) and my router just stopped working out of the blue. With airport on, it says I have full signal level and its logged into my account...when you attempt to load a page, it just keeps trying to load but it either doesn't get anywhere, or takes 10-15 minutes to load a little bit of the site (google). Hard connection from comcast modem works fine so I know it isn't my Internet connection.
I also have a hard line from the WRT54G to my DirectTV box, which I connected to my macbook and that doesn't work either, so I think I've eliminated a wireless only problem. Do these things just crap out sometimes or am I missing something? I tried with tech support and they couldn't seem to help.When you Hardwired your computer to the Router are you able to Browse Internet on your Computer ? Since you have upgraded the firmware on your Router, have you Resetted your Router and Re-Configure all the settings on it back again. I updated my MBP and was in the middle of a project in iMovie, left for a bit and comp went to sleep. Turned it back on only to have the rainbow wheel spinning for a long time. Shut down the comp and tried to restart it.... I get the power up chime, apple logo, grey spinning wheel, and progress bar..... Then it's shuts down. Tried a safe boot but doesn't work. Any advice would be appreciated.
This may or may not work.
Try starting your MBP with thw OPTION key down. This should result in a display with 2 HDD icons. Select the recovery icon, on the right. There will be a 4 option menu. Select Disk Utility. Then select Disk Utility>First Aid and run Verify and Repair. Then if successful, restart your MBP.
If you cannot get to the inital display, indicate if your MBP came with installation discs or get the serial number from the bottom and enter it here:

Photo Booth wont work, it just continuously loads but doesn't let me take photos
It was working fine. I'm not sure if there's been a recent update or something to change things.
When I load it from my dock/applications it begins to load but continuously shows the spinning loading icon on the black screen. Its as if its not connecting to the webcam to show the image.
Any ideas?
ThanksIf the photos were created on your iPhone you can directly delete them. If the photos were synced from your computer and you can't delete them on the phone. You have to sync with iTunes on computer. You add a new EMPTY folder and sync the empty folder to your iPhone at the "Photos" category.
