ITunes 8 - perpetual errormessages with ipod touch!

Hi!
I've upgraded to iTunes 8 and I've since had a serious problem that I can't find an end to. I've tried uninstalling iTunes 8, but the normal Add/remove programs won't even uninstall the components! They just start uninstalling, and just at the end, it rolls back! No errormessage!
Anyways, I get a repeating errormessage when I plug my ipod touch 8GB (upgraded to 2.1), a new message pops up ever five seconds OVER all the other windows so it's driving me insane!
The error message logged in Event viewer is this:
Program med feil AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe, versjon 8.0.443.5, tidsangivelse 0x48c211fc, modul med feil ntdll.dll, versjon 6.0.6001.18000, tidsangivelse 0x4791a7a6, unntakskode 0xc000007b, feilforskyvning 0x00009cac, prosess-ID 0x137c, starttid for program 0x01c9183a8aae4968.
I'm able to sync my ipod touch just fine but the errormessage is constant. My Shuffles don't show the error.
Another error pops up after opening iTunes, but doesn't log in the Event log. It says (in norwegian): "iTunes kunne ikke laste inn dataklasseinformasjon fra Sync Services. Koble til på nytt, eller prøv igjen senere."
Please help me out!!

Now, now, one at a time!
Just dropping a note to say I've solved, or rather - worked around the issue. Total removal of iTunes and all components, then reinstalling. Library intact, thank GOD.
Now I'll be very reluctant to upgrade once the next version comes along..

  • ITunes not compatible with iPod Touch 4th gen (problem with Windows 64 bit)

So I've been trying for about a month or so to sync my iPod Touch to iTunes but ever since i updated it to iTunes 11 it has been saying that i need to uninstall it and install the 64 bit version. I've done that twice this week alone and its still not working, saying again that i need the 64 bit which I already have. I've ended up completely erasing previous iTunes data to see if that would help, but that just ended up being more hassle. I don't think its just my iPod, because it refuses to sync my iPad 2 manually as well.
Please help me, i'm at my wits end.

You are very perceptive - has nothing to do with your ipod, has to do with your Windows. You can try couple things.
One - reinstall itunes "apple way" and when downloading disable your anitvirus.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
please make sure that you completed not only step one, but also step two.
Then disable your antivirus and go to step three.

if that does not work go to thing number two.
Two - come back here with precise text of the message, see if anybody had it before.

  • Can't get itunes to sync with ipod touch or even recognize it is connected

We cannot get a ipod touch or iphone 3g to sync with itunes. We have a ipod nano that synced fine. They are charging, but itunes does not recognize them at all.
    Looking for places to start.
    Thanks

Ok, ran updates, found 3 new updates and after this was done all was well again. Still not sure why it only affected the touch and iphone, but guess i don't need to LOL.

  • ITunes not syncing with iPod Touch 5th gen

Yesterday I purchased an iPod Touch 5th generation, and have it linked to my MacBook Pro using iTunes 12. I am running OSX 10.9.5, and cannot figure out why it is syncing all the songs I have stored in my cloud, when the "sync only selected songs" box is checked.  On my ipod screen I can see all of the songs I've ever purchased, with the cloud and arrow.
Does anyone know how to keep these songs from appearing if they are not checked as "to be synced" on iTunes?
    Thank you!

    Yes.

  • Converted home videos to itunes not working with ipod touch

So I finally was able to convert some home movies to itunes but now they will not work with my ipod touch. I get a error message saying "can not be played on this ipod". I also can't get the movies to work with my ipod video (classic) either, how do I fix this? And yes there is enough space for the videos.

if the files are in iTunes, select one (or all) and choose +create iPod or iPhone version+ from the advanced menu. try syncing the newly created file(s) to your Touch.
    what happens ?

  • Changes made in iTunes not syncing with iPod Touch

Anyone have suggestions on a strange issue.  When I make changes in items on iTunes (ver 11.1.3.8), itunes appears to sync with the ipod, but the changes are not reflected on the ipod.  iPod software is current.  Many thanks for your advice.

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

After updating iTunes this week Windows 8 recognizes the iPod but does not offer an option to open with iTunes. iTunes does not recognize iPod Touch. Have followed all the steps but without success. Is there a solution with iTunes?

I followed all the instructions on the suggested page. Many files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\ could not be deleted. Message said ""Cannot delete files: It is being used by another person or program"' but could not find iPodService.exe in task manager (also, the "Cannont delete ... " did not mention iPodService.exe).
Deleted all that I could. Reinstalled iTunes. Still same result. iTunes and computer both recognize my old iPod. Only the computer recognizes iPod Touch.

  • ITunes U not compatible with iPod touch 4th and 5th generation.

I attempted to subscribe to the course, Moons An Introduction. When opening one of the course books, I get an error message stating I need an iPad to read the book. There is nothing about the course being incompatible with iPod touch. Why can't incompatibility information be included in the course description?  What a waste of my time. Please don't advise me to open the book on my computer. I don't want to read a book on my computer. That's why I got an iPod. I'm thinking about getting an iPad, but as soon as I purchase one, it will be outdated. Isn't this a ploy by apple to get people to buy iPads?  How many iTunes U courses are like this?  The most important book of the course is incompatible.
    Thanks,
    Brenda Woollard

Thank you, lllaass.  Of course, an apple user remarks to this fact in their review. Are all courses going to have reviews attached? Why do I have to read reviews on courses to get this information?  Who is writing the review?  It's not an apple official. How reliable is information in reviews?  I've read reviews that have incorrect information. Why not put the fact that a course is incompatible with iPod right in the course description. It would save a lot of time and wasted bandwidth. Why was the book allowed to be downloaded onto an unsupported device?

  • I have iOS 7. When I go to the itunes store on my ipod touch it gives me a blank screen with nothing on it. I restarted my ipod touch and it didn't work. Can someone help me with this?

I have iOS 7. When I go to the itunes store on my ipod touch it gives me a blank screen with nothing on it. I restarted my ipod touch and it didn't work. Can someone help me with this?

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>iTunes and App stores and sign out and sign back in
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Yes, by using a third-party utility such as Phone to PC or Phone to Mac.

Are you sure it is 1043? I've never seen that error before. But you can try disabling your security software, connecting the phone to a USB port directly on the computer (not a hub), and trying to restore again.

  • Itunes with Ipod Touch, HELP!!!!

    Hey all.
I had purchased alot of applications and songs from the itunes store on my ipod touch. and after a while, the software messed up, so i had to restore the original software for the touch, meaning ive lost all my apps and music.
If i go to my purchase history on my pc, i can see everything ive downloaded, but how do i get it all back without induvidually getting the songs and apps because there is ALOT and it would take me days.
    Cheers to any help
    Dave

All your content should, unless your computer crashed and you had to erase the hard drive, or you deliberately removed them, or you purchased the tracks and apps directly from the iPod and didn't transfer them to your computer, still be in iTunes. So just resynch your iPod.
If you don't have the content on the computer either, then you should restore from your backups. If you failed to make backups (as iTunes itself advises), you'll have to re-download the apps from the App Store (though you won't be charged; apps can be re-downloaded) and in all likelihood repurchase your tracks/videos/movies from the iTunes Store. (you will be charged for those; media cannot be redownloaded for free).

  • On my ipad 2 I can't "see" the hundreds of spoken audio tracks that are in my itunes and on my ipod touch. Is there something I didn't do during sync up?

On my ipad 2 I can't "see" the hundreds of spoken audio tracks that are in my itunes and on my ipod touch. Is there something I didn't do during sync up? The tracks are from voice recordings that were downloaded from an extrernal drive and weren't necessarily tagged as spoken audio. Do I need to go back into itunes and relabel these tracks so they will show up on my ipad2?
Thanks in advance for your help!

With the iPad connected to the computer, while iTunes is running, click on the iPad name on the left side under devices. Click on the Movies tab and look for Movie Rentals. You want to "Move" the films to the iPad.

  • Problems with Ipod Touch

    Problems with iPod Touch.
Hi, I bought an ipod touch in Colombia a couple of months ago but lost the invoice, I tried using it but everytime I connect the iPod to the computer, it restarts over and over again, I've tried all the recommendations show in the Apple support site, but no method has proved the question is, I can take this ipod to a Mac store in the U.S. for repair or change.
I live in Venezuela, there is some Apple store in my country where I can take it.
Thanks in advance for your quick response

You should be able to go to the USA for warrantee service. If you purchased at an Apple store you should be able to go to your account in iTunes and see the purchase. I am confused by your statement:
"I live in Venezuela, there is some Apple store in my country where I can take it."
If you go to the Venezuela apple website you can see if/where there are Apple stores.
