Itunes 9.0.1 download error

I downloaded the new itunes version to my laptop. Once it's downloaded I go to itunes and my library is there but, it doesn't open the itunes store completely. if i click on a title from the itunes store an error window pops up that says..."We could not complete your itunes store request. an unknown error occurred (306). there was an error in the itunes store. please try again later." Now i'm trying to download the version i had before this one but, i can't seem to find it. does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

I am getting the same error. Didn't happen until I updated to the latest version (9.0.1.8) for my iPhone. It does not display the itunes store correctly. Looks like it cannot not render any of the graphics. When I find more information I will post back.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I found this featured discussion, looks like someone else had that same error message in iTunes and the following steps helped them:

  • ITunes Store App - iPhone, "Download Error Tap to Retry"

New iphone 5S, iTunes Store App
At one point during a sync a lot of my music did not end up on the iPhone.  I was on a road trip and wanted the music so I clicked "Download All" on my favorite playlist.  For whatever reason 652 songs would not download, saying "Download Error.  Tap to retry."  I have since gotten home, sync'd and all those songs are now on the phone but the 652 songs remain in the Downloads part of the iTunes Store app with the same error (Download Error. Tap to retry."
I can't get them to go away, does anyone know how I can delete the download attempts?
    Thanks.

    Hi there zblom,
You may want to try force closing all open apps and resetting the device as an initial troubleshooting step. Take a look at the articles below for more information.

  • Itunes 10.5.2 download errors...any fixes?

I am trying to download Itunes 10.5.2 for my Iphone 4s.  I have done all of the following including pulling my hair out:  I deleted all of the Itunes and like stuff (Bonjour, Apple, etc.), rebooted, re-installed, regedit, rebooted, windows update, installed a version lower than 10.5.2 and tried to update, run cccleaner, changed adminstrative rights, turned off popup blocker, updated my firewall to not block Apple, used the Microsoft Fixit for several fixes, unchecked the Apple Mobile Device from start-up and rebooted like 50 times.  I still get the error that the file is not safe.  Help me please before I hurl my phone across the room and go by and Android!    Running Windows Vista 32-bit.

If you haven't already, try temporarily disabling your firewall and antivirus software and try again...

  • ITunes stalled because of download error

All music files have been download BUT iTunes shows two music files in queue. This has prevented backing up all devices. Device shows, but iTunes goes into spinning wheel of death.

The only two things that I can think of (other than restoring the iPad) are to sign out of your Apple ID, restart the iPad and then sign in again. Sometimes that kick starts the waiting, or stalled download. This isn't necessarily an Apple ID issue, but a reset of your Apple ID.
The other alternative would be to finish downloading the app in iTunes on your computer and then sync the iPad with iTunes.
Actually, three things ... Or did you try this?
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.

    Same here.
My biggest problem with the download isn't the space it's occupying. It's that it asks me for my account password every 5 min.
I've been thinking about a factory restore but seems like a drastic solution, there should be an easier way to delete it. Like swipe deleting it like all other downloads.

  • TS1424 When downloading itunes update, I got the error, Apple Application Support was not found.*

On my windows pc, I mistakenly deleted Applie Applications Support file.   Any help with how to restore it?

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version). If the following link takes you to the WinRAR home page rather than the WinRAR downloads page, click the Downloads header in the box at the left of the WinRAR home page to see the trial version downloads:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, see if iTunes will launch without the error now.
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

When trying to download the latest version of iTunes, I receive the following error "Apple Application Support was not found", any suggestions?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component, such as Apple Application Support, won't install normally.

  • "Your system has not been modified" iTunes download error.

Hello, this is my first time asking for support so I hope I provide all the information needed.
    Background:
A while back my elder sister went into my computer and messed some settings up because iTunes was being wonky and not updating her new iPhone properly (turns out later the iPhone itself was having issues - not my computer nor iTunes). I used an older version of iTunes because I had an older iTouch and didn't need the newest version, but I didn't have any complaints when she updated it. I come back one day and iTunes isn't working alltogether, and when I plug in my iTouch it tells me there's an error and I need to re-install iTunes (or somewhere along that line, I was stupid and didn't screencap the message). (I asked her what she had done and said "Updated your computer! It hadn't been updated in so long, and then iTunes stopped working! Beats me!" and she can't tell me exactly WHAT she changed and downloaded.) So, I went through the uninstall process and went to the Apple website to download it again, but it kept giving me a "Your system has not been modified" error. This was a long time ago but I came back to my computer to try and solve it again and I've tried to redownload it off the website multiple times but it gives me the same error.
I went into my control panel and "add/remove progreams" to see if anything was left over from the uninstall process but I can't find any iTunes files. Any idea on how to get iTunes back onto my computer?
    TL;DR:
    "iTunes Installer Completed
The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified.
Please run the installer again, or click Finish to exit."

I had the same problem.I tried every solutions on the net but nothing worked.Luckily on that very day my free avast antivirus date expired(I dont currently have a paid antivirus) and I uninstalled it.Then I tried to install itunes and did it on the first go.But I am using a windows 7 32 bit so it might not work for you as you are on the 64 bit.Actually the antivrus was the culprit.Hope it helps. Thanks
