ITunes 9.2.1 not saving Artwork or Lyrics to new songs

Hi,
I imported a new song. And, then went to add all of the information, such as; Name, Artist, etc.
But, when it came to adding the Lyrics and Artwork, yes it allowed me to add them but once pressing 'Ok'. It didn't load up the artwork and when opening up the information again, everything had saved except the Lyrics and Artwork.
How do I get it to work again?
Cheers,
Reuben T

Started working again.
I don't no why.

  • DVD's I've copied into iTunes with Handbrake do not have artwork

Personal DVD's that I have copied into iTunes using Handbrake do not have artwork.  How can I get the artwork?

Since these are home movies and not commercial ones (which it would be illegal to copy and against the terms of use of this web site to discuss -- yes even if you own the DVD), what artwork do you want associated with the movie?

Do you have the right boxes checked to sync the music to your iPod?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Do they play in iTunes on the computer?
Have you successfully synced music form this iTunes library/computer before?

  • ITunes not saving artwork

iTunes seems to save artwork OK if it has downloaded it itself, but if I paste artwork into the 'Get Info/Info.Artwork', although I see the correct artwork and the associated checkbox is ticked, the artwork is not saved.
    Any ideas??

Can you see the artwork in the artwork column or when playing that track?

  • My older classic 160GB shows up in iTunes 11 but will not sync. I have a new PC and transferred all my iTunes to it. Old was XP - new is Windows 7. Does this make a difference?

My older classic (6 yrs or more) will not sync even though is recognized in iTunes 11. I have a new computer with Windows 7 vs my old one that had XP. Does this matter? I had my data transferred and redownloaded what did not transfer but I cannot get the new items purchased and downloaded to sync with my iPod. The data on the iPod has not changed one bit even though it shows as syncing. What do I do? The iPod works perfectly otherwise.

Thanks planb77. Your instructions worked but I had to do a little more than you stated. I did not realize that transferring files to a new computer was not enough. When the iPod synced I was told I needed to "authorize" my new computer to get my iTunes purchases to sync to the iPod. So after the initial sync, I ejected and disconnected the iPod, went into the iTunes store, set up "home sharing" and then authorized the new computer. When that was done I reconnected the iPod and was able to sync all my books and music. The only thing I couldn't do was rename the iPod as iTunes never asked me to. Is there a way to rename it after it has been set by iTunes as "owner's iPod"?

  • OS X notes saving every change as a new note

Each time I make a change to a note, OS X saves the change as a new note. Delete a line? New note. Add some words? New note. It even adds notes while I'm typing and even when I'm doing nothing. I've attached a sample, looking at the oldest versions (bottom) you can even see how it saved in between typing example and note.
What's going on and how do I stop the madness?
    OS X Mavericks 10.9.2, Build 13C64.

Wow, that's really weird.  I would guess a home permission problem where you can't wite to the iMessage folder.  I guess while I waited on more specific advice, I would a home permission & ACL reset.  I just explained this in another response or your can google it on your own.  It's not hard, may not fix this but won't hurt and I've seen several cases first hand where ACLs get messed up during a Mavericks upgrade.

  • Just updated to iTunes 10.2.1 and now can't add any new songs.

My MACbook is running 10.5.8 and just last week I updated to iTunes 10.2.1 but now I can't add any new songs at all. I go through the motions but when I check the "recently added" checklist, it's blank. The song is never added to my iTunes library. Is there a fix for this?

    RESOLVED.
I tried updating iTunes to 10.2.2 thinking this might somehow help me but same situation. Upon further investigation, the set of MP3s I was trying to add didn't  have the typical MP3 logo on them. When I tried to delete them from my system, it said "in use by application". I forced a delete. I copied the MP3s again to my MACbook and this time was successful in adding them. Looks like it was a bad set of MP3s and not iTunes.

  • Some Songs (Artist Exclusive) Not Saving Artwork???

    Hi,
I am trying to upload artwork to iTunes and not all of the artwork I am uploading is working properly. All images are JPGs and are not working by file.
For example, all my Beatles songs have the correct image, but my George Carlin image is not uploading - and both are JPGs. When I try to even copy my Beatles artwork to George Carlin (which works with the Beatles), it doesn't save with George Carlin...?
Why is this happening? How can it be fixed? I tried another George Carlin image and it didn't work either...
    Thanks,
    Dan

If it is not the 'read-only' issue, then the next reason may be a corrupted ID tag problem. Have you been using a different tagger with the files? Converting or changing the tags on the music at all?

  • ITunes Mini Player Does not show artwork

I have 100% of my music tagged with album art.
Album art shows 100% of the time in every other possible place in iTunes - including mini player next up.
When I look at mini player history, album art is missing 99% of the time.
    Anybody have the fix?

I also find what Apple has done to be a huge step backwards.
Apple seems to be in the dark regarding the user experience - seemingly favoring form over function. I almost feel they are trying to just make things look pretty to please users in store but leaving real users left out to dry in regards to features and smart interface design.
The mini player is my primary interface for using iTunes - now this "upgrade" omits the playhead, time elapsed and remaining, volume controls (at a glance), full playback details, etc. How is this at all an improvement?
I suppose if making the interface "clean" - yeah - it's a home run. So pretty. So useless. Great job!
I said the same regarding Quicktime. I still use Quicktime 7 Pro (!!!!) over Quicktime for OSX because it has full controls, easy edit features (compared to the simplistic garbage of the new player) and most importantly - does not have movie controls overlaying my movie!!!
I know that's a tangent - but let's have a return to controls that sit below the movie as opposed to over it.
Apple, I truly love your products and own a significant amount of your gear - but you really need to sort out the user experience.
    Cheers!

  • Itunes update download file not saving

Previous to 5.1.1 iOS updates, iTunes (MAC) used to download the package update for given hardware (iPhone 3GS / 4 / etc) and keep that pacakge local on the machine for future updates.
I update many iPhones daily due to business.
iTunes would download the 5.1 package for iPhone 3GS or 4 etc, and i could conitnue to update as many phones's as needed without iTunes having to re-download the entire 700mb+ package over and over again.
Now, with 5.1.1, ever time i plug in a different phone that requires an update (even if same model) it re-downloads the 700mb+ update package each time before peforming the update.
I could not see any settings to say, keep the update package file local.  I assume its only storing in temporary files, then deleting after update is complete.
    VERY ANNOYING!!!
    Any ideas out there?

The files are in folders in your user account/Library/iTunes.  The folders are named iPhone Software Updates, iPad...etc.  When you connect a device, option+click on "Check for Update" and select the update file.  If you are using Lion (OS X 10.7.x) the user account/Library is not accessible thru iTunes.  Access the library folder from the Finder's Go menu.  Hold down the Option key for the library to appear in the Go menu. Then copy the update files to your desktop.  When you option+click check for updates, you'll be able to access the update files on your desktop.

  • Itunes backup/sync has not saved my contacts!

    Hi everyone
I recently had to send off my iphone 4 for an insurance claim because the case was cracked. I was told to backup my iphone in itunes before doing so because it would be wiped when they looked at it.
I have plugged in my iphone 3, which I had given away to my husband to use for a while, to use as a backup phone. When I've tried to restore everything (I plugged it in and synced it) I noticed the contacts was trying to use Yahoo! but this is what my husband used. I changed it to Windows contacts (I'm using windows vista) assuming this must be where everything was set up to. I now have several thousand random email addresses that have been used in Windows mails since I had the PC. Not formtted in any way and no phone numbers. I don't use windows contacts to store contacts, I've only ever used my iphone. Now I'm concerned that I haven't done something right beforehand, which now means I've lost ALL my contacts. This is pretty serious for me because I'm self-employed.
Could it be that when I plug in my iphone 4 it will miraculously restore the phone with everything that was there before (I'm doubtful) or have I inadvertently been a complete muppet and assumed it was backing up my iphone when it said "backing up iphone"?? I don't care about it backing up music or photos, they all started out on my pc, but my contacts started on my phone and don't appear to have ever made it to the PC.
Please help, if I'm not beyond help with this... I'm absolutely gutted.
I'm going to go out and buy a paper address book now, that's the only back up I can rely on (provided my house doesn't burn down!).

I don't have Outlook. I asked the O2 shop if I could sync the iphone3 to my PC without buying anymore software and they said I could. My life would've been simpler with Outlook, but it was so expensive to buy office with outlook I just used windows mail and accepted that I couldn't sync my calendar with my PC. I used to backup the iphone 3 but never had to restore it.
When I got my iphone 4 I did everything the same - I plugged it into my PC and followed the steps in itunes to set it up (this was some time ago so I can't remember what it asked for). When I plugged my iphone in, it said it was backing up and/or syncing the iphone. I assumed everything was fine.
I am getting my iphone 4 back tomorrow and I'm hoping that I can plug in and it will be fine. I've managed to get some contact numbers onto my old iphone 3 by right-clicking and selecting to restore from backup, although they are my husband's contacts because he was using it last.
This has given me a glimmer of hope, but when I look at the information in Windows Contacts it is not what I had on my iphone. When I get my iphone 4 back I will need to do some serious housekeeping I think - especially now I have an ipad as well.

  • ITunes library and preferences not saving

I have a Windows Vista 64-bit OS.  I have downloaded latest version of iTunes 10.6.3.25 for 64-bit.  The issue I am having is that after everytime I restart my computer my library is iTunes is blank and the preferences go back to default.  I have only one account for the computer and it is the administrator.  My iTunes folder is full but it seems that I have to load my library everytime I open iTunes.  This is what it looks like when I open iTunes.  If I click the 'Find music files' it will load my library.  But if I restart my computer it will be gone again.  If I transfer purchases from my iPod (4th gen) it will move my apps and stuff to my library but again will disappear after I restart.  Any help would be awesome.  iTunes have never worked for me on this computer.  I keep hoping the newest version will fix it but no so far.

    Many thanks.
Basically, very similar procedure as before to rebuild the other set of preference files. In the instructions in the user tip for Vista that you used before, at *step 10,* open the Roaming folder (instead of the Local folder.)
Rebuilding this particular set causes the iTunes Setup Assistant to run. When prompted to do so, don't add files to your iTunes library or you'll end up with a library full of duplicates.
The test again is to close iTunes after the rebuild and then open it again. Do you get the "Welcome to iTunes" this time, or does it launch normally this time?

  • ITunes 8.0 will not acknowledge the library on a new pc

I just purchased a new pc and loaded iTunes 8.0. Previously I had my library on an external hard drive. When I open the settings to iTunes and point the location to the external hard drive, iTunes does not acknowledge or open the library.
I went as far as coping the library over to the internal hard drive of the new pc but that did not work either.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

OK, that just changed where future music will be added.
You need to go back to the old PC and get the ITL file. Put it either on the new PC or the exHD. Press *and hold* the shift key while starting itunes and it should "see" all the music on your ex HD.

  • Itunes 7.4.3 not working on one PC with new Nano, 7.4.1.2 working on Lappy

I have a new 3g Nano, replaced my 1G Nano.
My new IPOD will not work with Itunes 7.4.3, the USB drivers seem all screwy. It will mount, unmount, etc. It works great on my laptop running 7.4.1.2. I am NOT going to update the laptop. I do not want to reinstall ITUNES on my desktop, because reinstalling everything is a pain I don't want to deal with, but that's the PC with all my movies and music.
Is anyone else having an issue like this? The IPOD won't stay mounted, and Windows gives a USB error message.

I don't see any reason offhand why this form would not work... do other forms work on the system that you're having problems with? I'm wondering if there's a problem with the Acrobat installation on that PC that's causing the scripts to not run.
