Itunes 9 Upgrade. Installs OK, but fails to run with 'Unknown Error(-50)'

Been running Itunes versions 7/8 very happily. Upgraded to 9.0 today. After installing, which reported no problems, Itunes failed to run, reporting a missing reference in CoreFoundation.dll. I tried a re-install, but with no improvement. I the un-installed Itunes, re-imported the Itunes 9 setup file (88Mbytes), re-installed the product, and still it does not run, reporting a -50 Unknown Error.
Not exactly impressive! I'd be grateful for any ideas, including how to revert to version 8. Thanks, ju

Thanks for the pointer to the KB article. Error 1 is missing from the list provided by iTunes (more information), but I was afraid it means hardware. Will try on another computer, but I'm afraid the phone is sick.

My 3GS froze while using Navigon, then showing a pop-up saying "Activation required". When tapping the pop-up, an unusual white question box regarding location service shows up, after tapping "next" the process hangs. Connected to iTunes later, same procedure again, hangs again. When trying restore with iTunes, the whole load process looks ok, but at the end fails with "unknown error (1)", probably when trying to rstart the phone. I tried all variations (restore mode, DFU mode, hard reset) but no luck. The phone was recently officially unlocked (AT&T), could this be a factor? Or is this a harware problem? Any ideas aor hints welcome.

Using the DataSource , I have Created one WebIntelligence Report , Unfortunatly Im getting the Following Below Mnetioned Error. If I run the Query as Single Object I can See Single Column in the Report. When i go for Multiple Column. Im getting as mentioned Below.

Which version of BOBJ did you install? Which version of SAP BW are you accessing (please state the installed supported packages also).
How many rows do you get when you run the single column report?

Upgrade of iPhone 5 failed 95% in with "AMRestoreErrorDomain error 6 - failed to fixup var"

Hi,
I am trying to upgrade my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 using itunes.
I got about 95% through and then a pop up on my MBpro said something about "Failed with error: 6"
The error log quotes "AMRestoreErrorDomain error 6 - failed to fixup var"
Any ideas? Its been stuck on 95% for over 30 minutes now.

Ok, so I unplugged the phone. Presses and held the home button until it started up.
The screen requested I plugged it into the laptop again, which I did and it requested a restore... it has now started the upgrade again... fingers crossed.

HT201210 MY Iphone4 wont switch on tried restoring it on itunes but it comes up with unknown error (21) and still wont switch on... any help will be great cheers

These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

MacBook Pro 1,2 updated to Sno Leo with DVD. Now, further updates fail to install with "unknown error." Appreciate any tips.

Updated from 10.5.8 to 10.6. Runs great with 10.6, but none of the updater combo packages will run. Rebuilt disk permission, ran Disk Utility from installer and disk check good. Cannot figure out why the updaters won't run. There is no password enabled for the root user -- could that be a problem? Any suggestions appreciated.

As I said the iTunes program on the computer. You open iTunes on the computer and go to the View menue in the upper rightand then click on preferences. Go to Devices and delete the backup.

Reset your iPad and see if that helps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Can connect with AE but fail on connecting with internet

For some reasons I needed to re-conflict my AE and changed the wireless name. 2 of my Mac computer and my iTouch could connect with no problem. But my PC (XP2) could connect with this AE but failed on internet with error message "limited or not connectivity".
Had to Restore my PC one day back (using the System Restore), reset my AE to previous name. Now everything is ok ... what's the reason behind ???

The XP only works for WEP 128bit with 13 characters password and not 5 characters

Upgrade to ios 5 failed with unknown error (-1)

I was on ios 4.3.2 and when I tried to upgrade to ios 5 yesterday, I am getting unknown error(-1) while it is trying to install firmware. Currenlty my phone is in recovery mode and is detectable by iTiunes 10.5. But every time I try to restore the device to factory settings, it is giving the error as said before. Please help!

I have a good news for those who have their phones factory unlocked or have warranty from Apple. I went to a premium Apple Care center and they said that my phone has motherboard problem and that's the reason I have been seeing -1 error. So I have a got a phone to phone replacement.
