ITunes - "Accessing ITunes Store" Never Completes

Baber pole keeps spinning. Genius - Accessing ITunes store never completes.
cannot get to IStore. Also, bought new IPod Classic. will ny sync.
Unloaded, rebooted, reloaded 11.0.5. to no avail.
help appreciated.
Win7 OS.

I've fixed mine! From a little help from an apple adviser. You might want to clear your caches before doing this - under iTunes preferences. Open iTunes - go to the top bar, click the 'Store' drop down menu >
Then click 'De-authorise this Computer' >
Enter your password etc >
Then click 'Store' again then click 'Re-authorise this Computer'>
Enter password etc>
Restart the Mac>
Open up iTunes should be fine - worked for me anyway Good Luck

Every time I open my itunes a message pops up saying "accessing itunes store" and pops up every 10 seconds making it impossible to use. The only time it works is if i turn off the the wifi. Any help would be great.

Adt compile for ipa-app-store never completes

I'm trying to compile my project for the app store. It compiles without issue in about five minutes when compiled for ipa-test or ipa-debug. I'm compiling it for ipa-app-store right now but the process has been running for over two hours. I can see the java process running and the memory fluctuating, which tells me it's not frozen, but the temp files that are created aren't changing at all, which makes it seem like nothing is happening. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? I'm using the latest version of the Flex framework with the latest AIR sdk on a machine running Windows 7.

I did eventually figure it out. At the time I didn't know how to embed an XML file, so I was taking the file and converting it to a reallly long string. It was in the format of:
xmlString += "<xmlTag>stuff</xmlTag>";
xmlString += "<otherTag>stuff</otherTag>";
There were three files, the shortest of which was over 1000 lines long. For some reason the compiler just choked on that. If I had even one of them in there it wouldn't compile for the app store. The moment I removed them, everything could compile just fine. That was when I figured out how to just embed the XML files and everything has worked since. Interestingly, my compile times for test and debug mode dropped by half once I did that; so it was clearly causing some issues for the compiler in general.
If you don't have a file like the one I just described, I would recommend commenting out almost everything in your main file and compiling it. If you have an empty project, everything should compile correctly. Start adding things back in one at a time until you get the problem. That was how I ended up nailing down what was happening for us.

Itunes can't access music store

i'm having trouble with iTunes accessing the store.
I'm connected to my internet, and my IE and other programs works perfectly fine. However, iTunes returns the error:
"iTunes could not connect to the music store. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
I have a firewall, but i'm sure it's not causing the problem because i shut it off just now, and iTunes still doesn't work.
I tried the support pages but it didn't help much. What do you expect is the problem? I was able to access the music store a couple of months ago, but now it hasn't worked for over a month.
I currently live in China by the way, if that has anything to do with it, since the government blocks many sites. any possibility iTunes was blocked?

wait a while. The music store server is probably down for maintenance. Today is tuesday and it's the day for all the new releases so they may be updating. This happens sometimes. You may also need to update your account if you have not been on for a long time or if you are using a different computer, or you may need to update to the latest version of iTunes.

I have this issue too. I sent an email and got a link to visit the community and find my answer here. I'm NOT happy with the email I got. I've been able to see my appleid and then click on Music or Movies but I cannot go to the home screen of the Store. This is obviously something they will have to do an update for. You have encounter Activation Lock, the antitheft feature of the iPhone. The previous owner did not remove the phone from their account. The phone cannot be used until they do. Return to the store and let them sort this out. It is very unusual for someone to "forget" to disable activation lock, as it is necessary to do so to erase personal information on the phone. So it is quite likely you bought a stolen phone.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Can Not Acess iTunes store says "accessing itunes Store" and never ever does

Will not open iTunes status bar keeps scrooling saying "accessing iTunes" (but it never ever opens. Just keeps spinning. And because it does not open itunes it does not pick up or reconize my iphone when I plug it in.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

My computer keeps sayin that iTunes is accessing the iTunes store, but it will never access it. It just coninually acts like it is accessing the store but never actually comes up. Like its in weird store limbo.

Loading iTunes store and logging into my Apple I.D. never completes.

It will give me the loading bar for both actions but never acually completes the action. I've tried restarting my computer and that doesn't work. It also isn't an internet problem because all other programs that require internet are working. Please help!
