I have changed my country of residence and would like to maintain my account. The problem is I have a small amount in the account which is useless. Every time I tried to change the country it says that I need to consume it. What can I do?

  • How do I move my itunes account from one country to another?

How do I move my itunes account from one country to another?  I set up my itunes account in the United States and now I live in England.  I would like to transfer my purchases from my US account to my British account and then download them onto my new ipod.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes and I have updated my Windows 7 operating system.  I have tried to get in touch with apple and the advisor said he could not help me.  Ideas?

Before you change the country, note the following:
    - you must use any remaining store credit on your account
    - download all purchased content
    - ensure you have no current rentals(if you do, you'll have to wait for them to expire)
    - provide a new payment(such as a credit or debit card) associated with a valid billing address in the UK or an iTunes Gift Card purchased in the UK
    - content purchased from the iTunes Store is country-specific. If you wish to upgrade any of your iTunes Store content to iTunes Plus, you'll need to do this before you change countries. The content you purchased while your account was set to the previous country will not be eligible for upgrade once you've changed countries.
    - after you change countries, you will no longer receive application update notifications in iTunes for the apps you purchased in your original country. However, you'll still receive update notifications on your iOS device for any applications installed on it. In addition, you'll be able to download previously purchased applications again for free if they are available on your new country's store. You will not be charged and the download will not appear on your Purchased page. If a previously purchased application is not available in your new country, you will not be able to download it again for free.
    - If you have an iTunes Match subscription, you can't change countries until the subscription has expired.
    - If you have purchased a Season Pass, you cannot change the country associated with your account until that season is done airing and the last episode of the season has been added to the iTunes Store.
Taking the above into consideration, here's how to change your country:
    1. Open iTunes and click Sign In.
    2. Enter your iTunes Store account name and password, then click Account Info.
    3. On the Apple Account Information page, click Change Country or Region.
    4. Enter the updated information and save your changes.

  • I downloaded 2 cds onto my ipod nano through itunes.  Recently my itunes account changed and now it doesn't recognize the songs from the cds.  How to transfer from ipod back to itunes?  I don't have the cds anymore.

I downloaded 2 cds onto my ipod nano through itunes.  Recently my itunes account changed for some unknown reason and now it doesn't recognize the songs from the cds.  The songs are still on my ipod.  I am affraid to sync now because the songs may be deleated, and I don't have the cds anymore.  How can I transfer the songs from the cds on my ipod back to itunes so that I don't lose them?

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not your "account."  The "account" you have for iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use when purchasing or downloading from the iTunes Store.  If these songs came from music CDs that you imported into iTunes, those songs are not related to your Apple ID.
Recently my itunes account changed for some unknown reason and now it doesn't recognize the songs from the cds
How are they not "recognized"?  Are the songs still listed in your iTunes music library, but grayed out?  They no longer appear in your iTunes library at all?
If you search your computer (not in iTunes) for the song files, using one of the song names, can you find the song files?

  • HT2589 in our country we dont have iTune Store if i create iTunes accounts in another country can i use my local bank credit card??

In our country we dont have iTune Store if i create iTunes accounts in another country (example UK) can i use my local bank credit card??

No, you need to be in a country and have a valid billing address in that country to be able to use a country's store. If there isn't an iTunes store in your country then unfortunately you won't be able to buy any content from iTunes.

  • HT1311 I have just tried to download an app and my itunes has changed my country to Auckland, can this be changed without me entering my card details again.....why has this changed without me doing it?

Hi, I have just tried to download an app and my itunes has changed my country to Auckland, can this be changed without me entering my card details again.....why has itunes changed this without me doing it?, or is it a problem with io7? as all fine prior to upgrade.

See  >  Change your iTunes Store country

  • HT1918 hi i need to change my itunes account to another country

hi i need to change my itunes account to another country

Click on your account name in the top right corner of the iTunes store in the iTunes application on your computer, enter your password and click the "view account" button. Navigate to the Apple ID summary where you have the option to "change country or region".
In order to change your location, you will need a credit card registered to an address in the location you are trying to change to.
You cannot change your location if you have credit on your account, if you are unable to spend your credit and leave a balance of zero, contact Apple, which you can do through iTunes Store Support.

  • Changing iTunes account to another country

I recently bought my teenage son an iPod when he was on holiday with me in the UK. We created an iTunes account for him and I gave him some credit to spend on apps. Now that he is back at home in Denmark, he cannot access the Danish App Store because whenever he logs in, it takes him to the UK store. This is a problem because his English is not at all good. He tried to create a new account in Denmark, but it would not let him because his email address is being used by the other account. He ended up creating a new account using his mother's email address. So all of his new apps are in his mother's name, but his other ones are owned by his English account. He would also like to change the registration of his iPad to his Danish account when he finally figures out how to do this. His current account is in his name, but at my address in the UK. Can anyone help?

  • Moving my itunes account to another country

Hello I have a problem that I have not found a solution too despite much searching. It may not be a problem of course, but I think it is....!!
I have an imac which was bought and all the softwear (incl itunes) installed in Australia. Therefore I have an Australian login for itunes. I also have an unlocked iphone bought directly from Apple in Australia.
I have moved to the UK and brought the 100% Aussie imac with me. I have also brought the previously unactivated iphone with me and installed a pre-paid UK Vodafone sim.
The problem is that having plugged the iphone into the computer, it thinks it is an Australian iphone and defaults to the Australian itunes store. This seems to be a problem because, unless I am missing something I have to be registered with itunes/Mac here in the UK to be able to download Apps.
I have attempted to change my location with no joy and I have also failed to create a new user because the computer still want me to be Australian.
Does anyone have any good ideas???? This was not a problem I had even imagined.
    Thanks!

    Changing Your iTunes Store Country
*It is not possible to change the iTunes Store country in use on the device itself. To change this on your mobile device, go to iTunes on your computer*, change the iTunes Store to the country you want to use on your mobile device, then sync your iPhone or iPod touch with your computer again. To quickly change to the correct country for your account, choose Store > Sign In. If you are not using the correct iTunes Store country for your account you may see an error message advising that your account is only valid for purchases in the iTunes Store for your country when you try to download from the iTunes Store or App Store on your mobile device.

  • ITunes account in different country?

I live in new Zealand, and I'm going to stay in Australia for a few years, and I'm only 13 so I don't have a credit card on my iTunes account, and my birthday is 2 days after I go to Australia, and I'm going to get some iTunes gift cards for my birthday, but Australian gift cards won't work on a new Zealand account because of the currency, and I currently have NZ$1.10 on my account from a gift card I got on my last birthday, and I tried to change country but it says I have to spend my money before I can change country(and nothing is $1.10, apps are $1.29 and songs $1.79), and I can't make a new account because I want all my purchases on 1 account, and I can't gift everything from a new account either because the stuff will be sent to a email or printed (what??? How do you print music) not to my NZ account.
I've only downloaded apps before because I already have music, videos were too expensive (remember I use gift cards) and in NZ we can't get TV shows but in Australia I'm probably going to get TV shows and more apps.
Now the problem is how do I get purchases to my NZ account?? It would be best if you could find a way to change country. Thanks for your help.

You can contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them. They may be able to help.
    Regards.

  • ITunes account in another country

When I was living in the US, I got a US iTunes account linked to a US credit card. I've since moved to Japan, and apparently I can't buy at the Japanese iTunes store with a US credit card even after I've changed the credit card's billing address to Japan. However, I can buy iTunes gift cards for the Japanese iTunes store without a Japanese credit card, no address checking required.
I'm guessing that the US iTunes Store will still let me shop, but is this allowed? I'm curious because many of the albums that are available there are not available at Japanese stores, either brick-and-mortar or online.

I live in Denmark. I have a card registered in England (where I come from) with which I can buy from the iTunes store UK. I also have a card here in DK with which I can buy from the Danish store.
Not sure how that might help, but it proves at least that it can be done.

  • How to create one iTunes account in one country with another language?

    Hello,
Maybe this is a really basic question, but I prefer to ask before I make the mistake.
I'm living for not a long time in Germany, with bank account and everything from Germany, but as I'm not German, and do not speak the language properly, I would like to open one iTunes account from the USA or UK (that has the content in English) but my bank account data would be from Germany, so how do I proceed?
Another doubt, even if I create the account in Germany, it would be possible to buy the movies in English (original audio) and not German?
    Thank you in advance !
    Best Regards,
    Clayton

    You cannot.
You can only buy from the itunes store from your country of residence, as verified by the billing address on your credit card AND you can only buy while physically in that country.
"Another doubt, even if I create the account in Germany, it would be possible to buy the movies in English (original audio) and not German?"
You would only be able to buy what they sell in that itunes store.
    Sorry.

  • I would like to open a second iTunes account in another country, but still maintain my original Canadian account.  I have read the advice regarding signing out of the original account, and then signing in and setting up a new account.  but will I still be

I would like t open a second iTunes account for a different country, but still be able to access my original account. It was not clear inthe documentation I read on this subject if this was indeed possible - using the signing out/in, create new account procedure.

How recently did you switch?  If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account.  The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices.  I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

  • HT1918 Itunes account & change of email address

    Hi,
How can I change the email address associated with my iTunes account? I followed the instructions in this article but there is no option to change the email address (which is my Apple ID), only an option to change password. Thanks

If you know the answers to your security questions then yes, from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 :
Navigate to appleid.apple.com using your web browser.
    Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
    Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
After you've validated your identity by correctly answering your security questions, click Edit to the right of your rescue email address.Once you've finished editing your rescue email address, click the Save button directly below the email field.
If you can't remember the answers and you don't have access to your current rescue email address then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset first.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
You can then use the above steps to change your rescue email address for potential future use.

  • ITunes account; Change to email to mobileme?

I have an iTunes account. I wanted to switch my email for the account to my new mobileme email address. iTunes will not let me change it to my @me address, stating that I may log into that account. Why is this? If I log into the other account, I wont have all my receipts. Will it still allow me to have all my music and iPhone apps? How would I delete the old account?

Honestly, there is not an EASY solution to this. However, you can take snapshots of the purchased receipts or proof in iTunes and save them in a folder on your computer. It'll take some time, but it would solve you're problem
