I have an itunes account. However, I need to copy music onto a different iPod than my own. How do I do that? Do I need to create a separate iTunes account for that iPod?
An account means an iTunes Store account which is an online service. Do you mean that, or do you mean a library on a computer?
iOS devices can only be synced to one iTunes library at a time. You can sync that iPod to your account but it will wipe everything currently on it.

If you use manual syncing, you can sync items from more than one iTunes library to your iPod. (You can sync iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad with only one iTunes library.) When manually managing content, you can add content from multiple libraries to your iPod or iPad. Even when manually managing music, some content may be available from only one library at time. This includes all content on iPhone and video content on iPod and iPad. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12113 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1202
I could post another 2 pages of stuff trying to cover every possible scenario. It would help if you let us know exactly what you want to do. Are you trying to sync just a few songs (like giving them to a friend which is something iTunes is deliberately set up not to do)? -
2 separate itunes accounts for 1 ipod touch
This is probably not complicated but here is my situation....
My daughter has an ipod touch and always asks me to add movies, games, etc. My ex wife decided that she wanted the itunes account shared with her account and since she won't give me the password i can't add anything for my daughter. I've been told that there is a way to open a 2nd account that would sync with my computer. I'm guessing it would mean she couldn't combine things on her ipod but at least i could add things for her even if she has to switch back & forth. Thanks for the helpThis may help:
How to Set Up Two iTunes Accounts on One Computer | Chron.com
You can use more than one account on an iPod. However, note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
Also note the 90 day time period specified here for change accounts on a device.

The Itune account was mine but when my husband update the detail it became his? Now we can not download apps the message that comes up says what ever the item is will be avalible for download when you login to the itune store on yur computer. But I am logged in.Please help??
You cannot download the same Apps that you have on your iPhone. They are two seperate stores.
The store you have on your iPhone is the same for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone and iPod)
The store on your MacBook is only for Macs. -
i am trying to find a way to transfer my Ipod music and pictures to my Ipad2. My Ipod was synced on a different computer and itunes account then my I pad2. How would i save everything without syncing it and losing everything i have?
If the music isn't purchased then you should be fine. Here is an application that will let you transfer the pictures from the iPod into iTunes on the laptop. This has been highly recommended here on this discussion site. There is a demo version that you can download to your laptop to see how you like it.

I have an iTunes account for my personal iPod Touch - have had for several years. When my work provided me with an iPhone and now and iPad 2, they all fall under my personal iTunes account. Is it possible for me to create a separate account for my work devices and apps, while leaving my personal account intact? I use both my compter at home and at work to sync occasionally.
A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

Can I have multiple iTunes accounts for the same Ipod?
Can I have multiple iTunes accounts for the same Ipod? What I mean is can I use multiple iTunes accounts through the same iPod for buying stuff?
I believe you're limited to syncing DRM'd items from 5 different accounts.

I setup a separate itunes account for my iphone. I put my ipod music onto it. The music will not sync to my iphone. It tells that all info will be lost if I do it. HELP! The music is showing in the library.
you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere. Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

I wanted the album so I clicked carry on and delete the account. When I checked my ipod afterwards all almost all of my music was gone exept for what I had just downloaded. This was thosands of songs that I had carefully picked over the years and now they are all gone. Someone please help me!!!
