ITunes account has been locked

I forgot my security questions and now I can't purchase anything, can anyone help me to unlock it without paying?

I would need clarification on the issue to provide a better answer.  However, this could be a permission issue with your iTunes Library folder.  Here is an article that will help you troubleshoot this issue.

    For info we are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
    You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on your iOS device by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.
    If that doesn't fix it then contact iTunes Support and see if they can/will unlock it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    I just got an email stating that my iTunes ID has been locked and that I need to confirm my account information within 48 hours.  It asks me for all the usual information that would be very helpful in getting my identity stolen.  Is this a bogus email?  It does not tell me why it has been locked.  The email is address that sent it is:

    I don't want to enter in all of this information and I have no idea why my account would even be locked.

    Go to: Apple Express Lane;
    Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
    Then choose iTunes Store;
    Then choose Account Management;
    Press Continue;
    Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click Continue;
    Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
    Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would like your security/challenge questions reset;
    Click Send.
    You should get a response within 24 hours by email.

    Oh gosh, I saw the same issue. Because i was messing around with something earlier. I don't know why Apple took off the option of "none" as a payment since not everyone puts in a credit card and people use iTunes gift cards. I think they just made that changed recently. Anyways, Ive just found out about this new issue also, so i don't know what you could do... maybe call apple support?

    i recieved the same email with the same game and it also stated the purchase was from canada i have revieved a few other as well and am concerned i have changed my password a few times now but i still revcieve emails and am very worried. i recieved the email near the date this question had been put up
    however i do not know how they are downloading apps as my credit card details need verification when i download anything , any help would be much appreciated.

    It's a phishing attempt to get your account id and password, the 'validate' link on that page isn't an Apple website (there are similar phishing attempts regularly posted on here) - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

    It does not re-enable the account.  I've emailed support but that will take 48 hours.  Is there no way to re-enable it without contacting support?  I've never had an account that wouldn't send me an email so I could just fix it in a matter of minutes.  Oh yeah...this is Apple/ATT.
