ITunes account in different country?

I live in new Zealand, and I'm going to stay in Australia for a few years, and I'm only 13 so I don't have a credit card on my iTunes account, and my birthday is 2 days after I go to Australia, and I'm going to get some iTunes gift cards for my birthday, but Australian gift cards won't work on a new Zealand account because of the currency, and I currently have NZ$1.10 on my account from a gift card I got on my last birthday, and I tried to change country but it says I have to spend my money before I can change country(and nothing is $1.10, apps are $1.29 and songs $1.79), and I can't make a new account because I want all my purchases on 1 account, and I can't gift everything from a new account either because the stuff will be sent to a email or printed (what??? How do you print music) not to my NZ account.
I've only downloaded apps before because I already have music, videos were too expensive (remember I use gift cards) and in NZ we can't get TV shows but in Australia I'm probably going to get TV shows and more apps.
Now the problem is how do I get purchases to my NZ account?? It would be best if you could find a way to change country. Thanks for your help.

You can contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them. They may be able to help.
Regards.

  • Putting credit on iTunes account from different country

Hi all, I have a bit of a problem here. I have 2 iTunes accounts. One for the US (where I currently live) and one for Japan (where I used to live). I still am able to use my JP account to download free apps from the store and keep my previously downloaded ones updated. Because I no longer have a Japanese credit card I have removed that form of payment option from my account. I downloaded a free app in the JP store and would like to make an in-app purchase, but my account has no credit on it.
Is there a way to put money on this JP account maybe from my US one?
Does selecting 'gift' option from the US account and giving it to the JP one work?
Would I somehow have to acquire a Japanese iTunes card to apply credit to my account?
I want to do everything without being mischievous and jail breaking my iPad, I just want to put money I own onto this account somehow!
I tried to switch accounts and use my US account to make in-app purchase but it said I had to be on the account that purchased the app (would be the JP one). I don't want to have to delete the app and re-download it in the American store and possibly lose my progress in the app. :-(
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You cannot transfer funds nor give gifts from the US to Japan, nor as you have discovered can you make an in-app purchase through the US iTunes Store for a Japanese-sold app. So if you no longer have a Japanese credit card, you will either have to buy an iTunes card, if Apple sells them in Japan, or get someone in Japan to send you a gift certificate, reimbursing them for the cost.
Jailbreaking your iPad would not help in this matter, even if you were willing to do so.
    Regards.

  • How do I move my itunes account from one country to another?

How do I move my itunes account from one country to another?  I set up my itunes account in the United States and now I live in England.  I would like to transfer my purchases from my US account to my British account and then download them onto my new ipod.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes and I have updated my Windows 7 operating system.  I have tried to get in touch with apple and the advisor said he could not help me.  Ideas?

Before you change the country, note the following:
    - you must use any remaining store credit on your account
    - download all purchased content
    - ensure you have no current rentals(if you do, you'll have to wait for them to expire)
    - provide a new payment(such as a credit or debit card) associated with a valid billing address in the UK or an iTunes Gift Card purchased in the UK
    - content purchased from the iTunes Store is country-specific. If you wish to upgrade any of your iTunes Store content to iTunes Plus, you'll need to do this before you change countries. The content you purchased while your account was set to the previous country will not be eligible for upgrade once you've changed countries.
    - after you change countries, you will no longer receive application update notifications in iTunes for the apps you purchased in your original country. However, you'll still receive update notifications on your iOS device for any applications installed on it. In addition, you'll be able to download previously purchased applications again for free if they are available on your new country's store. You will not be charged and the download will not appear on your Purchased page. If a previously purchased application is not available in your new country, you will not be able to download it again for free.
    - If you have an iTunes Match subscription, you can't change countries until the subscription has expired.
    - If you have purchased a Season Pass, you cannot change the country associated with your account until that season is done airing and the last episode of the season has been added to the iTunes Store.
Taking the above into consideration, here's how to change your country:
    1. Open iTunes and click Sign In.
    2. Enter your iTunes Store account name and password, then click Account Info.
    3. On the Apple Account Information page, click Change Country or Region.
    4. Enter the updated information and save your changes.

In our country we dont have iTune Store if i create iTunes accounts in another country (example UK) can i use my local bank credit card??

No, you need to be in a country and have a valid billing address in that country to be able to use a country's store. If there isn't an iTunes store in your country then unfortunately you won't be able to buy any content from iTunes.

  • HT1491 I have two itunes accounts with different Apple ID's.  How can I merge them into one?

I ahve two itunes accounts with different Apple ID's.  How can I merge them into one account?

Apple has no provisions for this. You cannot merge multiple Apple ID's into one ID. Content is always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase it.

    Hi JenJen73,
If you are having issues with AirPlay streaming from your iPad to your Apple TV, you may want to take a look at the troubleshooting steps in the following article:

  • How do I transfer music from different iTunes accounts on different computers?

How do I transfer music from different iTunes accounts on different computers?

Move the song files to the desired computer and then either drag them into the library in the open iTunes application window or the Automatically Add to iTunes folder. If this would cause the single library to have content from more than five Apple IDs, you may not be able to sync it to an iPod or iOS device.

  • HT204498 I have 2 apple store accounts and this has resulted in 2 iTunes accounts with different TV show purchases. How can I get both on my AppleTV?

I have 2 apple store accounts and this has resulted in 2 iTunes accounts with different TV show purchases. How can I get both on my AppleTV? It was suggested I sign out of the current active AppleTV account and sign in with the other. I can find no way to do this. Also, I have been advised by Apple that I cannot consolidate the two accounts.

I am certain you are doing backups of your TV shows on your computer in iTunes?!  If not, do so.  You should also make sure that you backup both accounts.  Now, for your problem, you could combine the backups to one location then use your computer function on your Apple TV to watch all of your TV shows in one place.  The only other way to watch both accounts is to actually go into account settings on your Apple TV and change the account info to the account you want to watch the TV shows in that account.  Sounds awful, probably is.

  • Changing iTunes store account to different country - subscriptions

If i change my UK itunes account to one in Belgium, does that mean i lose all of my subcriptions ? I am currently subscrided to Martha Living magazine which is available in both itunes stores but am not sure what will happen to the remainder of my subcription once i switch my country on my account.

Kay - I am about to start a 3 year period working in Belgium. I currently have a UK itunes account.
If I create a new Belgium itunes account are there are any issues switching between the 2 accounts within itunes and across my mobile devices with respect to keeping all my content (inc apps)??
Presumably if an app doesn't exist on a certain itunes store then I would need to sign-in to my old account periodically to update them?
Although itunes t&c prohibit using their store when outside the geographical confines of the respective country, in practice, if I keep my uk itunes billing address then I could switch between the two??

  • Best way to manage multiple iTunes accounts (from different countries)

Ok, wasn't sure if this was the best community to ask this question, but here goes.
My wife and I have two iTunes accounts, one originally from the United States, the other originally from Australia. Over the years content has been purchased using both accounts.
We currently reside in Australia and primarily view our content on Apple TV. So far we’ve had no problems logging into either account and accessing all our content.
Now, I have a fear (perhaps an irrational one) that if we choose to permanently reside in one country (Australia, the US, somewhere else) that at some point Apple may cancel/restrict one of these accounts. Since there is no way for me to merge all our purchased digital content into the one digital library, we’re now wondering the best way to manage this?
I see there is a new "family sharing" feature soon to be launched, so that may be half the solution (assuming it will work with family members in different continents). If so, the other half of the question is, will we be able to still purchase content on both accounts? While in Australia since April we have rented movies on both accounts, but have only purchased movies etc on the Australian account (we can still do this on the US account, but we haven't risked it in case it gets cancelled because Apple decides we're no longer in the US - in other words, we don't want to spend $$$ on movies we may not be able to access in future).
What do others think? What is the best way for us to manage our scenario? Or am I worried about nothing and we can continue purchasing content on either account without fear of “losing” it later?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I did try and ring Apple, but the guy refused to give me advice until I provided my details and I did't want to do that at this stage.
    Thanks everyone for your help!
    MM

You may lose the ability to purchase content from the USA, but any content you've already bought will remain accessible. Back everything up.

  • I would like to open a second iTunes account in another country, but still maintain my original Canadian account.  I have read the advice regarding signing out of the original account, and then signing in and setting up a new account.  but will I still be

I would like t open a second iTunes account for a different country, but still be able to access my original account. It was not clear inthe documentation I read on this subject if this was indeed possible - using the signing out/in, create new account procedure.

How recently did you switch?  If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account.  The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices.  I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

  • Can i use 2 ipad's on the same itunes account with different apple accounts?

Both me and partner have an ipad 4. Though we only have one computer, can we use the same itunes but with different apple acount without any issues? We use some of the same apps, but my partner plays fx Baldus Gate and is worries that save files will be corrupted.

Each iPad should be linked to its owner's personal, private and nonshared AppleID. In the Mac, each one should have a different login account so each has their own iTunes Library containing your iPad's details. When you use iTunes on the Mac, since each logs in with a different login and corresponding Home directory, iTunes picks up the correct AppleID.
