ITunes account- need a visa card!

To have an iStore account, you need a visa debit card. I am too young to have one, i have a visa card, but it is neither credit nor debit, but just an ATM card. This doesn't work. I'm not even trying to buy stuff, just to use my iTunes account to download some of the free podcasts. What do I do?

If you have a Visa card then it should be a debit card. You cannot have a 'credit' card in the UK until you are 18. My guess is that you have a 'solo' type card which is issued to young people by UK banks. You can use this in ATMs or as a chip and pin card in stores. Do you use your card for these purposes? This card will be ok to use on iTunes, as my daughter has one issued by a high street UK bank and has it set up on her itunes account. You will need to be 13 years old to have an itunes account.

We are using IPads in a school setting and having trouble setting up the ITunes account without a credit card number. We are only allowed to download free apps, the school is not paying for any, therefore we do not need to have a credit card for purchases. Is there a way to get around this so that we can still download the free apps onto the IPads?

If you only want the free apps, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

I have my new Apple ID, star itunes and to log for the firt time, becouse it´s firt time I need to agree with to terms of use and next need to give my credit card numbers which I do not want to do. But without this information will not let me go, what can I do?

Where are you located?
Just go and buy an iTunes gift card at any store in your country.
Then follow all the steps you did, but when it asks you for the credit card number, there shoujld be a GIFT CARD option which will let you load your account witht eh funds form the gift card without providing a credit/debit card #.

Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

I've just tried it by following the instructions on that page and I've been able to create a new account with the 'none' option and have downloaded a free app.
e.g. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of existing account, found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :
I then clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup :
I agreed to the terms, filled in my details and on the payment's screen I got :
I then got the verification email, clicked on it, logged into that new account, and downloaded a free app.
Are they the steps that you followed when creating the account ?

Did you follow the instructions on that page exactly when you created the account ? They worked for me yesterday on my computer's iTunes when I tried them in response to another thread.
