ITunes account password and iCloud

My partner and I have been using home sharing to access the same itunes library on my laptop.
I have now enabled itunes Match and I wanted to enable my partner's laptop to access my itunes Match library now.
I had a Mobile Me account which I migrated to the icloud sometime ago. I understand that I can log my partner's itunes library into my itunes account and that should enable access to the itunes Match library?
However will that then give access to the rest of my icloud such as emails etc? Will the password be stored in the keychain?
Ideally I would like to create a separate itunes account that we could both then use that is separate from my main icloud id and password but if I do that what will happen with access to all the purchases I already made using my icloud apple id?
Is there a way of dealing with this without me having to give out my main icloud appleid account and password?
Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

itunes match and icloud are separate services that a lot of people think they need the same apple ID for.
My recommendation:
keep your icloud account (mail, contacts, calender... former mobileme) account information the same as it is currently. I would change my username and password for the itunes account (via itunes on your laptop or destop) to a different username and password from your icloud [former mobileme] account in order to share your itunes stuff but not your mail, contacts, etc.
these two services are then able to be logged in separately on your apple devices (i have a separate icloud account than itunes account both on my iphone, so that I can share my media with my wife but have my own address book and email account on my iphone and she has her own on her iphone). let me know if this is confusing

this is a question for a friend, because obviously, i have an account to ask.
itunes account password reset because her son kept attempting to access account.
to reset password, link goes to email. however, her email was an icloud account. so it used the same log in as the itunes account.
she knows the secret question and answer to access and reset from the non-email password reset method, however, the birthday required to get to that question is inaccessible and does not work (she is a woman, and obviously lies about her age).
I'm thinking the only way around it is to either setup a new itunes account, which would erase the ipad data once that is connected ( i assume that ipads can connect with only a single account), or find some other way to access the secret question. there is no phone number listed for icloud.
the ipad is only backed up to the icloud account. she just bought a computer, so would like to make a physical backup of the ipad. I think it is unadvisable to connect the ipad and the computer, until the icloud account can be accessed.
I'm not very knowledgable of the whole icloud thing. it sounded like a good idea to back up the son's ipad since she didnt have a computer, so i gifted her the icloud account. now, i'm kind of responsible for figuring out the situation. any helpful comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

3 years ago on an older version of itunes when you could hook your ipod to a friends computer and get their songs added to your library on your ipod then take them home and add them to your computer i took some of my friends songs. at christmas i got a new laptop and plugged my ipod into the computer to add all my ipod songs onto this new computer. it asked for her password to her account but she forgets the password. so, i went to the iforgot password thing and have had multiple emails sent to my email for 6 months and none have ever came. how do i just skip her songs all together? i am so done with this.

Account password and icloud ID

this morning I had a mbp session issue with the password. after 3 errors, you are supposed to enter icloud ID to reset it.
but the password from my icloud didn't worked as well.
I managed to reset my session password(new session by terminal) and checked in preferences, my icloud password was the right one.
I tried again with the session password mistake, same issue with the icloud.
what is going on with it?

Constantly Having to Change iTunes Account Password, and I do mean Constantly!

I am being told that I have to reset my password constantly.
I am certain that I am entering it correctly.
I don't ever get chances, I enter it and bang - reset.
Over and over and over and over and over again.
Any ideas anyone would like to share?

Erase the drive and then install Snow Leopard. If you just reinstall the OS, it won't erase the existing files.

My wife and I share the same Itunes , Apple Id and Icloud accounts.
How do we keep our contacts seperate, when we open up or back up on I cloud?
As we both have I phones, I would like to keep all my work contacts seperate from hers. Also I don't wish to have her contacts loaded on my phone and vice verser.
Will it mean the I will have to get a seperate apple ID and seperate Icloud account.
Problem is that all our music and photos are on the one Library, because we didn't have two Iphones before, it didn't matter.
We would like to keep the same Itunes library to access music and photos, but like to keep everything else seperate.
Can you please help.

You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores (your iTunes account/library), but you need to have separate iCloud accounts with separate IDs to prevent merged data such as contacts. (You aren't required to use the same ID for purchasing as you do for other services such as iCloud, iMesage, FaceTime, etc.) The only issue is that photo stream is tied to the iCloud account so when you separate your accounts, you will no longer be sharing the same photo stream. You can still send each other shared photo streams in order to share each other's photos, but they wouldn't be part of the same photo stream.
To separate your iCloud accounts, on the device that will be changing accounts, go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the device. (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your device.) After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The device that will be keeping the existing account will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account on this device using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting the other wife's contacts from your account, and vice versa). These changes will be reflected on each phone. When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them.
To avoid getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls you also need to use separate IDs for iMessage and FaceTime. To change the ID for iMessage on one of the devices, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign in with a separate ID (such as the new iCloud ID). To change the ID for FaceTime on this device, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

TS1292 When I input code it just keeps asking for iTunes account password over and over again not loading card

I got a £25 iTunes gift card for my birthday and I have tried to redeem it but it is not working. I don't know if it's not activated but there is no message saying that the card is not inactive and I have checked all the letters and numbers and I have entered them correctly. When I enter the code it asks me to enter my iTunes account password I do that and then it just brings up the box to enter the password again over and over again... Hope someone can help! Thanks!

Your purchases are permanently tied to the Apple ID (account) used to purchase them. They can't be moved to another account and you can merge accounts. You can start making new purchases with your iCloud ID if you want, but you will end up with two sets of purchases under two different IDs, adding further complication to your life.
Also, your @icloud email address is an alias of your existing @me address; emails sent to either address will be routed to the same inbox. You can decide which one you want to use as your default (as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5441) but you can't separate them.

My iTunes account password suddenly stopped working. Strangely, it still works when I sign into iTunes but does not work when I try to purchase a movie through Apple TV. I followed the instructions to change my password and that still didn't fix the problem. Anybody encounter this? What's frustrating is that Apple wants to charge me a fee for tech support. Check your spam mail. If you have more than one email address verified with that apple id that email will go to the rescue email.

How do I merge my Itunes account with my Icloud account

Hi Readers!
I bought a Macbook Pro Retina today but I am running into a registration issue with Itunes and Icloud.
When I try to register the Macbook I have to put in my Itunes account (name: mflentge), because of the use of Icloud I have to put in an e-mailadress to register Icloud to my Itunes account.
Unfortunately my main e-mailadress already has an Icloud account attached to it, so I'm not able to register this e-mailadress.
I would very much like to use I-cloud and Itunes from the same Itunes account (mflentge), and it being connected to my main e-mailadress.
My question:
How can I merge my Itunes and Icloud account?
There are no important purchases or data on either of the accounts, so I don't mind deleting one if that means I can use my Apple ID + my main e-mailadress as one account.

My main problem with dropping my Icloud account is that my Icloud account is registered under my main e-mail adres.
Can I use my current ICloud account to be my Itunes account aswell?
Also i've been thinking to switch to the @me.com e-mailadress, are there any known limitations on the use of this e-mail (I have a Android Phone for instance, will I be able to set up an Apple e-mail account on it?).

Why is my iPod touch repeatedly asking for different iTunes account passwords?

Does anyone know why my iPod Touch keeps asking for 5 different iTunes account passwords? Also, in the iTunes app it says I have 651 songs preparing to download, and I didnt tell it to download them. Does anyone know why this keeps happening? It only began after I reset my iPod.

I have this problem too. I'm trying to restore an iPod and it asks me for account numbers. Is there Anyway to get around it? Cause it does not seem fair if I can have and listen to it on my iTunes but not my iPod. The one account is from a girl who litteraly went mentally insane, I'm not going to be asking for her password EvER. And the other is An ex friend and I don't even know who the third account is! This is really not fair and sooooo annoying. It won't put on alll my other music without these passwords. There has to be a fix for this. I can't even use my iPod and get music on it!
