ITunes acting weird regarding putting album onto iPhone 5

Hi all.
So here's my problem, which I will elaborate more if the title of this discussion isn't clear (which probably isn't):
I have an album on iTunes that I was trying to put on my iPhone 5 today. I had it on my phone for a while, then I can't see it on my phone but iTunes says I still have it on my phone. I tried playing a selection from the album from my phone via iTunes but an exclamation mark appeared next to the selection (and the remainder ones after trying to do the same thing). I then tried to put the album back into my phone but it wouldn't allow me, saying that "iTunes cannot add any songs to (my phone) because it already contains the songs from the album", which is not true at all because the entire album isn't even on my phone.
I have the latest version of iTunes if that helps. Also, I don't have iTunes match, and I don't plan on having it in the near future.
Is there a way to resolve this, or is it possible to delete the invisible album from my phone?
Thanks, and I hope I made this issue as clear as possible!

No such thing as a *simple few clicks with the iPhone* period! You cannot use your music as a ring tone. If you buy a ring tone from iTunes (or anywhere else) make sure it's under 30 seconds long or else it wont work. ( I just wasted .99 on a ringtone that was 1.43 long and can't use it ) Then if you do manage to finally get a tone synced to your iPhone you'll soon discover that it *REMOVES* all your music from your phone! Tried putting my music back and it removed the new ringtone!  I'm personally dealing with this issue now What's worse is what you have to go through to make the new purchased ringtone useable on your iPhone. Like, renaming the music file from *m4a* to m4r* It's a total PITA and I'm ******!!!
As for adding individual pictures to your iPhone. I can't help you there because I've yet to figure it out. I've had an iPhone for 2yrs now.

  • My itunes wont let me put music onto my iphone

My itunes wont let me put music onto my iphone or take music off. Everytime I go to sync it it says I dont have enough space but I clearly have more than enough space left. I also am trying to take music off of my iphone so I can put new music on but everytime this box pops up and I really dont know what to do.

I think you have misunderstood the message you see.
The message states that you need an additional 1.93GB as well as the 3.93GB shown in the capacity bar. So it requires a total of 5.86GB.
There are a couple of things you can try:
Click on the OK button (in that message) and then deselect the media that you wish to remove. Once you have un-ticked the Playlists, or albums or whatever, click on the Sync button again to allow iTunes to Sync. It will then remove the un-ticked items, leaving space to add the 5.86GB that you are trying to add. If you continue to see the same message, but with a smaller additional amount required, then you have not deselected enough items.
Check how much space is being used by the "Other" category (shown in the capacity bar). While there will always be a small amount of Other on an iPod, anything over 1GB is probably not correct. Usually, a Sync will sort this out. If it doesn't then you may have to perform a Restore procedure, but I suggest you use that only as a last resort.

  • Putting music onto iphone

Since i did not buy all my music from Itunes i can not put it onto my iphone. Is there a way to access my music from my iphone in a folder on the computer and drag my music there that way? If not, how am i supposed to put my music onto my iphone?

The only way to transfer music to an iPhone is via iTunes.
It isn't required to purchase music from the iTunes Store to transfer music from iTunes to an iPhone. I have quite a bit of music available on my iPhone which was imported into iTunes on my Mac from music CDs.
Where did this music originate that will not transfer, and is any error message provided?

  • Can u tell me how i put my own dvds into itunes so i can put them onto my iphone4 myself as i have got 100s

hi there i want to no how i put dvds into itunes so i can put them onto my iphone4 myself as i have got 1000s cheers

Since you are referring to commercial DVDs, they are all encrypted to prevent copying. In the US (and other places) it violates the law to use software to bypass encryption, so the Terms of Use here prohibit discussions on how to accomplish this. You might want to consider using a search engine instead.

  • Sync'ing Photos with iTunes causes smaller pictures in albums on iPhone?

    Hello out there.
I'm using iOS 7.0.3 with iTunes 11.1.3.8 (Win). After synchronising my Pictures, which are stored in different albums, the larger files got to smaller size (about max. 4 MP). Before they were stored in original size on the iPhone, even great ones with about 5000 x 2000px. Pictures taken with the camera are stored in  real size/resolution in "Aufnahmen".
Has anyone here the same issues?
    Thank you.

Sorry, but that wasn't normal before.
Does anyone know, whether Apple changed this in the lasts updates?
Well, as a photographer and designer it is important for me to look at photos in higher resolution, 100% is almost welcome. ;-) Even in 3,5", but iPhone is still pretty good for.
It only occurs in synchronised albums from PC and not in "Aufnahmen". Don't know, how it is called in other languages.

  • ITunes 11 does not load songs onto iPhone 4S from XP notebook

I converted songs on CDs we own to MP3 and loaded them onto my wife's XP notebook. iTunes 11 found them and built a library from them. Synchronizing her iPhone 4S through her XP computer does not load the songs onto her phone. When I first synchronized my iPhone 4S through iTunes 11 on my Windows 7 computer, iTunes found MP3 music files on my computer, built a library, and uploaded them to my iPhone without any prompts from me. Why can I not get songs in MP3 to load from my wife's computer to her iPhone?

  • ITunes acts weird when syncronizing.

All of the songs in my iTunes library are on my fifth generation iPod. When I sync to iTunes it seems to remove about 100-105 song then re-syncs them to my iPod, the songs are always still on my iPod they aren't missing after this odd occurrence. It also does this with my brothers second generation iPod nano with the same songs. I recently reformatted my hard drive and used the back up discs to restore my iTunes library. What is going on, it did not do this prior to the reformat. Is it just vista or what? Is there a fix? Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Alex

Had something similar occur myself. Loaded Itunes version 7.2 yesterday and when I tried to sync my 1.82 Nano, got a message that there was insufficient space on the ipod to even just put one song on there from the library. The only way I could get music on to it was by using my playlists, but could not sync all of them and could only load approx 370 songs onto the Nano instead of the normal 450 + artwork I can normally store. Also, Itunes started independently creating it's own playlists entitled Ipod selection #2, #3 etc taken ad hoc from the library, irrespective of whether these songs had been ticked for selection. Managed to delete one of these playlists but there is another in the 'Devices' folder which is impossible to amend or delete. Have been advised to restore the ipod to factory settings but am wondering if this will lose me music. Maybe restoring it may work for you if you've not already tried it?
    Can anyone help?

  • After rebooting, iTunes tries to sync all apps onto iphone

After rebooting my MBA (late 2010), the first sync of my iphone 4 shows ALL of my apps placed on my iphone up to its capacity.
This has happened twice in the past week. The first time, I had to keep syncing the iphone and deleting the unwanted apps, working my way through whatever iTunes automatically loaded without my intervention. After I deleted all of the unwanted apps in my iphone, subsequent syncs were fine. Then, this morning, after a reboot, they all showed up again in the apps list ready to be synced to my iphone. I'd rather not have to go through the very time consuming effort of having to sync-delete-sync-delete... again.
    PLEASE HELP!

    Bump. Nobody knows?

  • Updating ipod .. itunes acting weird

When I plug in my ipod it will automatically start yo update. But now, it refuses to update and it says "Songs on the ipod 'kiwi'(my ipod name) cannot be updated because all of th3e playlists selected for synching no longer exist."
What is going on? I need immediate help because I'm elaving tomorrow.
PS: It took all my songs off my ipod. :S

This problem arises when the option 'Sync Music - Selected playlists' is being used to sync your iPod and then the playlist (or playlists) it has been updating from is deleted. Most people use this setting when the iPod is smaller than the iTunes library. If your library is larger than the capacity of your iPod, iTunes by default makes a new playlist called something along the lines of "Owner's iPod". If you for any reason delete it, you will not be able to sync your iPod.
Open iTunes and create a playlist to update your iPod from, call it -iPod to make it the first playlist in Sources. You can make this a normal playlist and drag whatever you want to it or you can make it a random Smart playlist. If you are making a smart playlist limit it to just less than the size of your iPod (for example 3700MB for a 4G iPod Nano). Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting and checking what playlists you want to send to the iPod:

  • PLEASE READ ITUNES ACTING Weird

I recently dicovered that my itunes hadnt been functional when i had installed nortan anti virus. so i uninstall then reinstalled and now when i run the program the liscence agreement pops up for 2 seconds then disapeers so i cant access itunes please help.

You might have spyware then, if your iTunes is malfunctioning like this.
Reinstall Norton, but Disable it when you use iTunes.
Download Ewido FIRST, it's an anti-malware scanner that keeps things from screwing around with iTunes. after you run a full system scan (may take 15-30 minutes), reinstall Norton, then try opening iTunes and see if it functions okay.
Repost this if there are any more problems with this, otherwise please mark this Solved so other users know what to do in this situation

  • ITunes acting weird

I am using the lastes version of ITunes Version 9 2 0 6 1 ...I have not actually used it and played any music for awhile now, I have not changed any settings (preferences) within ITunes. I have just tried playing some music, when it is set with the shuffle "off" once the first track is finished it does not play anymore tracks and when it is set with the shuffle "on" once the first track is finished it goes to another artist, but then plays all the tracks for that artist instead of shuffling different artists.
    I hope this makes sense.

iTunes won't sync changes to the playlist over to the nano as soon as they're made, even if the nano is connected. It lets you make a lot of changes at once, then it syncs them when it is told to.
Ways to tell iTunes to re-sync the nano:
    1) re-connect the nano.
    2) right click (or control click if you have a 1 button mouse) on the nano in the iTunes source list. when the pop up menu appears, choose update.
    3) Bring up the preferences for you iPod. Make a change. When you hit OK, iTunes will sync the change to the iPod.
Right now your nano is set to sync to specific playlists, and iTunes generated one playlist that is filled with enough music to fill your nano. If you want to drag individual songs into and out of your nano, you'll want to change the preferences to manually manage the music on your nano.
Generally, syncing to specific playlists is fine. But the playist that iTunes generates may be a problem. Since it is a regular playlist, it isn't size limited, so you can easily fill it with more music than your nano can handle. In your place, and I was in your place when I got my nano, I would replace that playlist with a Smart Playlist that is limited to a specific size in GB or MB. The Smart Playlist will never get too big for your nano.
The smart playlist that I use grabs random songs where Play Date is more than 3 months old. That way the music I listen to automaticly comes off and is replaced with something that I haven't heard in a while. I like variety, so this works for me. YMMV.

  • ITunes Acting Weird after ios 6 upgrade?

Recently i upgraded my iTouch to ios 6. I synced it to iTunes and it seemed fine. A few syncs later, iTunes opened up and all my music, apps, movies, and stuff like that was gone! everything wiped out. iTunes didn't even recognize my iPod. Please help! I tryed a lot of things to try to make it work but nothing has!

    Hi
Are you or anyone else still having problems connecting to iTunes since the IOS6 upgrade?
I can connect okay in the Apple store, but not on any other WiFi network. This is really annoying when trying to show the problem to them!
I have reset my iPad2 to factory settings, but it still won't connect.
    Anyone have any clues please?

  • Itunes acted weird when opened

I opened itunes today and it asked me to choose a library, I thought that was a bid odd. Why does it do that? I cleared my internet cache etc and that's about all...

Did you by any chance have the shift key pressed when you started iTunes? It is supposed to ask you to choose a library if you do that.
