ITunes album artwork randomly removed from iPhone after sync.

iTunes 12.1.0.50. IOS 8.1.3. iPhone 5. 23GB free space on iPhone.
Album art is randomly removed from iPhone after sync. This seems to be new to the recent version of iTunes.
Removed and reinstalled all music. No help, problem still occurs.
Restored iPhone as a new iPhone and reinstalled all music. At first, all artwork was installed, but on later sync, random artwork was removed or missing. Problem reoccurs.
This appears to be a bug in the software somewhere.
Anyone having similar problems?

i have had this at least three times now in the past month.
I too had to do a factory reset and set up a a new phone.
i read an article about it being a known issue and something to do with duplicate tracks causing it to hang during sync. it then fills up the available space with the dreaded "other" data and hey ho you have no music.

Email accounts get removed from iPhone during syncs

I'm having a recurring problem of certain email accounts getting deleted from my iPhone during a sync. I have about 5, all of which are AOL IMAP email accounts. I can use the advanced syncing feature to reload the accounts to the iPhone, and I believe that sometimes the sync works fine, but I often am surprised to find random email accounts not on my iPhone after a sync.

Happened after installing Itunes update. I synced my iphone with only computer I ever use and when I clicked on music on iphone it shows "no content". However, when I connect iphone to computer it shows that I have used all but 3.5gb on my 32gb iphone!!!! All of the content used is showing as audio. So what do I do?

IPhoto '11 Deletes All Albums, Events And Photos From iPad after Sync

In addition to many of the other issues mentioned on this thread, today I synced my iPad for the first time since upgrading to iPhoto '11. After syncing, all the photos, events and albums except for "Imported Photos" were deleted.
In iTunes, the iPad is set to sync albums and events from the last 12 months.
iPhoto '11 has been a horror show for me. I use iPhoto daily and am currently in the process of downgrading via Time Machine.
I understand that as a professional photographer I should be using Aperture or Lightroom, but I've just always felt comfortable with iPhoto.

I really wish I hadn't jumped on this the first day. I need to wait a little bit and read the forums. Had I done this, I would've done a complete clone of my photo library prior to this. now I've lost a few months worth of photos, which *****. And there are people in a lot worse situations than I. Lesson learned.

Computer deleted everything from iphone after syncing

i backed up iphone so i could transfer everything to my new iphone 4s. after syncing to iphone 4s everything seemed fine until i synced it to the computer again to add more songs. the computer then deleted all items on the iphone to the previous backup which was 6 months ago! how do i get all my stuff back? have tried restoring from itunes but it only restores to the last backup 6 months ago. i have gone into the back up folder in my mac to try and retrieve the files but it only extracts the last sync as the phone is under the same names from my iphone 3 to my iphone 4s. i can see in the backup folder the time i synced my iphone before i lost everything but don't know how to extract them. the files are under long names such as "82a9272c06438d47bd97a651891a86b80d7ea425" and can't be opened as i don't know what files they are.
does anyone know how to fix this?
i have important notes that ive made that i really need urgently.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics.music/etc,.
If you have failed to do this, then it is gone.
You should move your music rom your old computer to your new one.

Tv episodes removed from iPod after syncing

I'm a complete novice when it comes to the whole iPod/iTunes thing. So maybe this is just a setting thing, but can anyone tell me why everytime I plug my iPod up to my laptop to charge and of course iTunes opens up and does it's whole syncing thing. Well everytime it syncs it takes away various tv episodes off my iPod. From what I can tell it removes the ones I've watched and leaves the new ones alone.
I tested my theory by marking them all new on iTunes and resynced and all the episodes reappeared.
Can anyone tell me why? Is there some setting change I need to make? Any help would be much appreciated.

When you iPod is plugged in, go to the TV Shows section on the sync screen. It should let you choose certain things, and yours probably says "Sync Only Unwatched Episodes". You can change it by selecting somethings else and saving your changes. Hope this helps.

IPhone5 Notes removed from phone after syncing with iTunes

This morning my wife came to me with her iPhone5 complaining that her notes in the Note app have disappeared. After investigating on her laptop we found them in her Yahoo folders but they weren't on her phone. Strange. I had all my notes on my iPhone5. So we went to work and I researched the issue. Found out that there are a lot of people out there with this same issue. This evening I backed up my iPhone5 wirelessly to my computer. I restored my wife's phone to her last back up that she said had her notes. No good - not there. So I reset her phone back to factory setting and restored from her backup. In the mean time, I plugged my phone in to my computer to check on some setting. Lo and behold, my notes have disappeared too! Of course they are all in Yahoo, but what's strange is that not all of my Yahoo notes disappeared. So it has something to do with syncing with iTunes with the wire, not wirelessly. I just restored my phone to today's backup and I suspect that since I'm tethered to my computer, the restore put them back and iTunes removed them. Since I cannot see the Notes folder in the email app - what good is it to sync them to Yahoo? Ridiculous. So the key is to NOT tether your phone to iTunes and sync wirelessly. Now I am going to have to go through the process of emailing all my notes back to myself and copy them into Notes.
Any one have a better cost-effective solution?

Follow up to my earlier post. It appears that the notes that "disappeared" from my iPhone fit in a certain date range. Seems to be June and July. A note I created in August didn't disappear. So I just emailed the notes from June and July to myself. I created new notes on my iPhone in the Notes app for my Yahoo account. Automagically they appeared in my Yahoo folder and didn't disappear from my iPhone when I synced again. Solution?

Podcasts not removed from iPhone after playing

Since updating to iOS 5 on my iphone 4, I've been having a few issues with the syncing of podcasts. For some, not all, of them, once I've fully listened to them on my iPhone, syncing with my macbook pro doesn't remove them, even though itunes on the mac has them shown as played, and the iPhone's podcast settings within itunes are set to only sync the last 10 unplayed podcasts, with the individual podcast episodes in question no longer being ticked in the podcasts settings page. Coincidentally, or perhaps not, on the iPhone, these podcasts have no date held against them and also have weird running times of like 0:02 or 0:03, when in iTunes on the Mac they're detailed correctly.
This isn't a massive issue, but it's becoming a pain in the neck. Has anyone else encountered it, or actually found a reason / fix?

HT1386 lost notes from iPhone after syncing

I had the same Notes on both my iPad and my iPhone. Some made on the iPad and some made on the iPhone. Now adter syncing in iTunes I seem to have lost all my iPad made notes on my iPhone. I still have both sets of Notes on my iPad.
Also I added my MobileMe email address to the list of my email addresses I have in Mail on my iMac. My MobileMe emails were then sent to my iMac including all my notes backup both from my iPad and iPhone.
So my Notes are not deleted or lost, just none of my iPad notes are now on my iPhone.
Read the support BB's are now VERY confused what to do to restore my iPad Notes on my iPhone.
On iPhone, I only seem to have: All Notes / On My iPhone / my MobileMe email address
While on my iPad, I have: All Notes / From my Mac / my MobileMe email address
My iPhone is 3GS. My iPad is a 2, both running the very latest iOS. Sync almost daily, never had this problem before.
Think it occured when I added MobilMe to Mail on my iMac, but don't know for sure!!

Hi, I think I have solved this problem. I discovered that the check box in iTunes for my iPhone got unchecked and this was why all my iPad and iMac notes apparently disappeared. I checked it and re-syned and they all came back. End of problem. Hopefully doing a similar thing will learn that for some reason the checkbox gets turned off under some circumstances.

I had the similar problem last night and found a solution (although it takes more than a few clicks). Highlight all the album tracks in itunes on the pc and right click "get info". Check the artwork box in this window. I found that the now playing art was showing up in the itunes window, but on songs that were missing artwork showed nothing in the get info box. When I replaced the artwork by using the artwork command, or manually adding it into the "get info" window. It was annoying but my iphone updated every album.

(Every time I sync, another playlist is created as "ALL SONGS 2, 3, 4, etc.") One of the songs (I have not, yet checked the other songs) that I purchased from within iTunes Radio shows up in the "ALL SONGS 1" on this screen:

I'm confident that i won't beable to just merge the 2 because thy'll have the same folder names.
On the same note: can I have iTunes create these files on the external server/Hard drive also so that either computer can use them at the same time?
(like I have my library- can the other files be saved remotely)

But, one little thing to share:
"There's an option in settings for Playlists. It was set to Music only. Changed that to All then found the movie playlist under Movies by selecting Genre."
This is not to be done in iTunes in your computer; this is to be done at your apple TV under "setting". "audio video" "show playlist" "music only/all"
I am posting this here because I started chat mode with Apple support last night at midnight till 1:30, they didn't know what to do.
They called me back this morning at 10 am.
It's not 11:40 they finally know what I am talking about and showed me where to to find the "music only / all" toggle. My problem is now fixed;
all these time, they have in front of them a screen shot of your questions and answer but they don't know where to change it from music only to all.
So, I hope this will save the next victim a lot of time.
