ITunes always on top - Very annoying
I've been noticing that iTunes really likes to keep itself ontop of EVERYTHING when maximized. And that includes the taskbar. Its very annoying. I've updated to 10.6.3. I've looked though all the options menus. I've tried to turn off the "Keep mini player ontop" option - it didn't work.
I justcan't find any way to disable this nonsense.
I looked around google and found a thread on the Apple discussions saying to uninstall "Apple Mobile Device Service" however this is not an option since I have an iPhone (https://discussions.apple.com/message/6753941)
I like to keep iTunes maximiezed so please don't suggest that I window it. There is absoluty no reason it should take priority over the taskbar. As it is right now, I have to press the WIN key to bring up my taskbar.

Oddly enough, I went into iTunes just now to try that, but I found that the issue was no longer there when I opened it, even before performing the workaround. But thanks for your suggestion; I can totally see why that would solve the issue. As a matter of fact, I wonder why I never thought to try it before. So that's pretty cool. And I never even use MiniPlayer mode anyway...

Csoud1 is correct. But if you still want to keep your iTunes Match subscribed and did not want to sync with your iOS devices, do the following:

Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access. -
Close Tab "x" button gone in firefox 25 - moved to the top right - very annoying
The close tab "x" button in firefox 25 is now always in the top right corner of the window, this is very annoying and counter productive.
Is there any way to have the "x" on tabs restored like every single version before this had?Do you have the "Hide Tab Bar with One Tab" Extension? as the developer is trying fix the extension.

My iPhone 5s (16GB) is stuck with 3948 photos (shown on the iTunes storage bar) on and I can not find a way to delete them all! It's very annoying as it takes up 6.54 GB of space and leaves me no room to add films, music...etc on to it. Please help me!!! I have already tried the numerous articles Apple have sent my way and I am still having no luck.I'd be eternally grateful if anyone could find a solution for me as this has been a problem for almost a year. If they were put there via iTunes sync process, then simply untick the Music box before syncing again.

Okay so I have an HP windows 8 laptop and I've tried downloading itunes like 10 times and still nothing!! Everytime it downloads and gets ready to install I get a "error 2" message saying "Apple application support was not found" "Apple application support is required to run itunes. Please uninstall itunes and then install itunes again. thank you" I've uninstalled it and re installed it soo many times and im getting very annoyed ! I just want to download it. I have similar problem, but mine doesn't sound like a loose screw, more like the battery or vibration component is loose. When I shake the phone left to right abit I can feel that it's around the top area. Very annoying, besides that it works fine. Gonna go to apple tomorrow maybe to ask.

When I update some of my addons, everytime I open firefox information about update is in new tabs, even "welcome to firefox" is always there in new tab! It's very annoying!Ok I found a solution that worked for me, I simply dragged the user.js and the user.js.BAK to the desktop, before that I had done the same with the prefs.js and prefs.js.BAK, but that didn't help, so it's apparently the user file that was an error with.

It's at the bottom titled User.js file locks certain preferences.

I updated iTunes to 11 and now I am unable to delete anything!! Very annoyed and I hate iTunes updates anymore. It shows a cloud with an arrow for me to download and I dont want to download the items..I already have them! How can I delete this garbage??
I have the same problem. It's showing old podcasts that are available for download and I already watched and I don't want to see them again and I don't want them listed in my iTunes. This latest upgrade is a piece of junk so far. It destroyed my itunes podcast listing on my Windows Machine. I have no intentions of upgrading to iOS7 or my Mac until I hear that things are fixed.

Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to 'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)

Very Annoying - Random Freezing Always occur
I ve purchased the high resolution powerbook G4 1.67 few months ago. I don't know why it always freezes, no matter i am doing the pages, or let it aside. It hangs and nothing i can do to reactivate it, except press the power button for several seconds to reboot it.
These days, i found the post on the discussions, talking about the processor nap. Actually, i find it works at all but it seems very annoying. If i forget to diable the nap, it will freeze later. So it is possible to repair it at all???Have you run the Apple hardware test, which tests the logic board? Insert your OS X disk, and reboot while holding the option key. Choose Apple hardware test and follow directions. If it finds an issue, jot down what it says, then return the unit for service to Apple.
Even if the hardware test does not show anything, but you can demonstrate where the system freezes, ie you can replicate the issue, still take it into service to Apple. -
I Recently purchased an Acer Aspire 9300 (And have had nothing but trouble with it so far) Itunes was working fine for the first few weeks, but now whenever it's open it fights to always be my main window. For example as i've typed this its popped up about four times.
Please help if you know a fix, i keep accidentally deleting songs because i'm typing when it pops up!If you're using Windows Live Messenger or have it running in the background - uncheck the option to show your current song as your personal message as this can result in iTunes popping up.
If that's not it have you installed any iTunes Widgets/plugins that might affect iTunes behaviour?
There is an option to keep the iTunes miniplayer on top in Edit>>Preferences>>Advanced>>General, but that doesn't sound like your problem. -

Take it back to the store where you bought it for a hardware check and/or exchange/refund.
If they say "that's normal" then get your money back.
Nothing worst than a annoying fan you can't do anything about.
I has a eMac that did that, sounded like a vacuum cleaner running all the time, I'm so glad I trashed it and will never buy a machine I can hear running in a near silent library.
Some advice, the higher end models with a dedicated graphics do tend to operate cooler, it's the one's with only CPU graphics (Intel) regardless if a Mac or PC that tend to make a lot of noise.
Graphics should have never been put on the CPU, it just doubles the heat and doubles the fan noise.
