Itunes and Conflicts with AIM

*Notes: I have itunes 7.0 and an old version of AIM (because I absolutely hate the new, ad covered version - Triton, or whatever it's called)
I was listening to itunes with AIM open and running, and everything was fine. The moment someone IMed me, my song went to double time, twice as fast as normal and very scratchy. I tested a few different songs, and they all had this problem. I read this article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93610h and assumed maybe the issue has to do with "direct sound" output (last paragraph on that page). When I closed AIM, itunes went back to normal. (this is the first time I've used the two programs at the same time since upgrading to the new version of itunes.
I'd like to know if there's anything I can do. It seems silly to me that since I upgraded itunes I apparently can never use it at the same time as aim. This is the 21st century, after all! Do you guys have any suggestions that don't involve upgrading to a newer, more annoying, version of aim? Thanks!

I think I figured it out...get an app on any device linked to iCloud and it appears on all of them. It just works!

Each time I connect to my IBM computer it crashes with blue screen error message pops up. Apple say that it's my printer/camera drivers. The problem is with iTunes, it likes to play with all the ports on my comp and conflicts with prnt drivers. How to fix

Does anyone know how to fix this problem without disabling my printer. It's very frustrating. It's either I have my iPad or my printer. iTunes likes to play with the ports on my computer thereby causing a conflict with my printer drivers. Apple should fix this problem, I'm so annoyed.

Apple say that its a driver problem, but I've never had this problem before so I am not convinced. Another thread, which I can't seem to find, suggests that it is an apple problem - itunes plays with the ports on the company causing conflicts with existing drivers. I isolated the conflict to my new Samsung printer. I uninstalled the Samsung printer driver and then can successfully connect my ipad without the blue screen appearing.
It's not a windows problem. Windows is working fine. Only happens when Ipad is connected. Actually, this first happened after I installed the new version of itunes. I reget installing the new itunes version, but don't know how to reinstall the previous itunes version.

ITunes download conflict with video controller

I'm using a Toshiba laptop with Win XP Pro and IE8. Whenever I try to install iTunes, the video controller doesn't work properly. The screen resolution is lowered to a max of 1024 x 768 pixels instead of the usual 1280 x 800. I have uninstalled iTunes and QuickTime before downloading. I don't notice the changes until I reboot. The last (third) time I tried to do this I even turned off my antivirus program (Kaspersky), but it still didn't make any difference. The only way I can make my computer work properly again is to do a System Restore since I can't seem to find the driver for this device on the Toshiba download page. Any idea how I can resolve this issue?

I have not encountered, nor have I read of similar.
In my case, I have never tried to run both iTunes and PrE at the same time. Because video-editing is such an intensive process, I seldom have anything but my Adobe programs open at the same time. If I am not doing audio editing, I just hook up my iPod for music, and keep the headphones in place.
I'll give it a try and see if I get similar. Now, I do have modules, like iTunes Helper disconnected, and on one machine, Bonjour Services too (need that for Extensis Suitcase font manager to run). I also have QT Pro 7.5.5 and an earlier version of iTunes installed. With some recent issues with Adobe a newer versions of QT, I am loathe to allow updates, until I read reports that newer versions of QT have been fixed, with regards to Adobe programs.
After you observed the conflict, have you tried running just PrE by itself? Does it still see QT as not being installed? Same for iTunes alone. Does it still see QT as not being installed?
Have you tried to Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel, focusing on QT?
If you download and go to install the latest version of QT (though it might be the same version, as what you have/had), what happens?

Privilege not valid between iTunes and iPad with a app from Flash

I'm creating a first app with Flash Professional.
I generated the .ipa file and it's transfered to iTunes without problem.
But when I want to install it in my iPad, there is a message :
"The privileges are not valid !".
And the app is not installed.
Can someone give me ideas about what I could do ?

Finally made an appointment at the Genuis Bar <free of charge>. The tech suspected that the firmware got trashed. The tech reloaded the frmware and the IOS. The "reimaging" wiped out the iPad and I had to rebuild my settings by hand. But everything works great.

If I download an app on iTunes and sync with my iPhone it shows up as 'waiting'

If I buy the app on my computer using iTunes, then sync my iPhone with my computer the app shows up as "Waiting" and its faded out until I get to a Wi-Fi network (or 3G if I have service) so it can redownload itself. If I buy an app off of the iPhone sometimes it works just fine and other times it does the same thing with the "Waiting" until I resync my iPhone with iTunes. It's like every app I download, I have to download twice...

I assumed somebody would suggest that, but that is not the issue that I wanna make.
Often I browse apps like appsfire or appsgonefree on my ipad and I end up downloading apps that I know I'm gonna use on my iphone and vice versa. Or I'm at work downloading some app from a web link on my work PC, knowing that I'll find it installed on my ipad when I get home.This is a feature and it's actually convenient for me, so I don't really want to disable it.
But I also find myself reinstalling apps on my devices when I sync them with itunes, just because I have forgotten that I initially installed them one my phone and deleted them because I didn't like them.
So, what I'm asking is, shouldn't there be a flag or something, that, when enabled, permitted you to choose If you wanted to uninstall an app from all devices and libraries?
Isn't this a logical request?
Surely, I mustn't be the only one that is annoyed by this omission in iOS!

Hi all, I just want to know if AIM-CUE can work with cucme and cucm 8.0?

It says that it is supported, but CUE (AIM-CUE Module) should have a version of 7.2 or 7.3 to support cucme 8.x and cucm 8.x

That's what I read, having cue 7.2 or 7.3 will let you use cucme/cucm 8.x
When you say "there will not be any new firmware release on the old aim-cue", Does that mean that cue version 7.3 will be the last firmware version to be released on the old aim-cue that will support cucme/cucm 8.x? Future versions of cucme/cucm (version 9) will not be supported by the old aim-cue?

How can I get my imac to open since updating latest itunes and syncing with ipad?

I have just updated itunes to the latest version and the imac was syncing to the ipad, when it froze. The hard drive is pretty full, but I can't get into it to delete stuff. I have tried opening it by holding the shift key till the wheel stops spinning, to no avail.

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
Step 1
The first step in dealing with a startup failure is to secure the data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to start. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
a. Start up from the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, start the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
Step 2
If the startup process stops at a blank gray screen with no Apple logo or spinning "daisy wheel," then the startup volume may be full. If you had previously seen warnings of low disk space, this is almost certainly the case. You might be able to start up in safe mode even though you can't start up normally. Otherwise, start up from an external drive, or else use either of the techniques in Steps 1b and 1c to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation.
Step 3
Sometimes a startup failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
Step 4
If you use a wireless keyboard, trackpad, or mouse, replace or recharge the batteries. The battery level shown in the Bluetooth menu item may not be accurate.
Step 5
If there's a built-in optical drive, a disc may be stuck in it. Follow these instructions to eject it.
Step 6
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to start up, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can start up now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
Step 7
If you've started from an external storage device, make sure that the internal startup volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Start up in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know the login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you start up in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, the startup volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 10. If you ever have another problem with the drive, replace it immediately.
If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the startup process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
Step 8
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select the startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.
Step 9
Reinstall the OS. If the Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
Step 10
Do as in Step 9, but this time erase the startup volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically restart into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer the data from a Time Machine or other backup.
Step 11
This step applies only to models that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery: all Mac Pro's and some others (not current models.) Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery, if there is one, is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a startup failure. Typically the failure will be preceded by loss of the settings for the startup disk and system clock. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
Step 12
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
