ITunes and Grace Note

I have some songs in mp3 format that do not have the id tags imbedded. These songs were created from a CD with a CD to mp3 converter other then iTunes and tags were not imbedded.
Is there a way to get iTunes to check Grace Note and add the music tags when importing songs already in mp3 format but without the tags.

You didn't really import them you added them to iTunes.
iTunes will only look up songs from a CD or songs that have been imported from the original audio CD using iTunes.

I upgraded my iMac to iTunes 9.2 when it came out.
My wife then upgraded her iPhone 3GS to iOS4.
Since then it is not recognized in iTunes and does not charge via the wall adapter.
I realize this topic crosses over with several ongoing discussions, but there are no 3rd party peripherals involved here.
The only major changes to our set up have been the itunes and iOS upgrades.
The battery is running down, any ideas to fix this, or other similar experiences welcome.

If you are in a country where music can be redownloaded then it should show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - that it where you can redownload items (as long as they remain in the store).

Apple TV won't connect to iTunes and does not show up in my devices list in iTunes.

I have two Apple TVs in my house and I can't imagine that this is part of the problem but I mention it just in case. My other Apple TV is brand new and it connects to iTunes just fine. I've tried most of the "fixes" and one says to Force Sync but I can't since Apple TV isn't in my device list. Another "Fix" said to Navigate the Apple TV to Settings --> Downloads --> Check for Downloads, but when I tried that there was no option for "Downloads" under the Settings Heading. I'm at a loss. Please help. Could this be an issue with too many authorized devices? We have three iPads, two iPhones, laptop, desktop, two Apple TVs, and an iPod and most of them are syncing the same music playlists and whatnot... have I run out of rope?

hi, just posting to everyone in general..its not you, or your apple tv, it is itunes.
ok, ive had the exact same issues for weeks now, as with everyone i had done the lastest upgrade and no longer could see/sync my gen 1 appleTV.........so, i removed the upgrade and went back to the prev version, even though it was showing in my prefs under appleTV, it still wouldnt show in the side panel under devices....i gave up.
This week i was determined to get it to work! So i started from scratch, totally removed itunes and started back with version 9 and upgrade each version from there, i had no luck, ic clicked find appleTvs but it wouldnt....however i just d/l version 9.2.0.61 and BINGO!. No sooner has it opened and up popped the side panel devices list, showing my appleTV..all ready to be synced etc. I immediately panicked of course haha..and set it all up and its working perfectly.
...Only catch now is that this older version will not be compatiable with my iphone, which i do keep music on...seems we cant win. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr this will be the same for all the latest apple products.
Apple needs to allow more than one version of itunes per pc OR perhaps they could get their act together and include all of the millions of APPLETV GEN1 owners in there latest upgrading..after all, THEY made the product and THEY do sell the movies/tv shows, perhaps they could stop making all the upgrade all about the music only!......on which i might add why not incluse movies/tv shows in icloud! yet another upgrade that should be included in the APPLETV GERNERATION 1!..yes we do still exist!
at the very least, im happy ive managed to get all my movies etc onto the apple tv, where ill keep them and from now on d/l directly onto my apple tv. I usually d/l to my laptop and then send them to the appletv but while trying to get all this sorted i did a test, i d/l a movie using my appletv hoping it would somehow let itunes "find" it and getting it to show up in my device list, but it didnt work, however it did sync/send the movie to itunes.. so at least i could save a back up copy.

That is about the best way I can phrase my question.
I put year/month/date at the beginning of a show, hoping for them to sort by date and I get mixed results.
Would creating a Folder within the Artists' existing folder that said "Pearl Jam Live", inside the "Pearl Jam" folder in iTunes Media help this "Date Sorting Issue"?

you do not move the masters into a references library - you turn your current library into a referenced library. As Terence Devlin said:
File -> Relocate Masters
What you should set up:
Select a folder, where you want to store your referenced files - probably on an external drive.
Decide on a hierarchical folder structure inside this folder - that is completely up to you.
Select a project from your library and use the command "File -> Relocate Masters/Originals" to move the original image files to the folder where you want to go them to. Only take care not to send two projects to the same folder.
Alternatively, if you do not care about the folder structure Aperture will use, select all images at once from the "Photos" view and let Aperture decide how to assing the folders - in the "Relocate Originals" dialoge you can specify a subfolder format.

The screen is completely black and won't do anything. I have tried charging it over night and nothing happened. It was never near water. I have tried troubleshooting it by holding down the home button and the sleep/wake button, but nothing happened and it didn't work. What can I do to fix it?

Nano not recognised on windows or itunes and will not charge, help!!!!

i went to update my ipod the other day and it said that the ipod was corrupted, so i took it out and pluged it back in again and it worked fine. then i went to charge my ipod on the computer a couple of days later and its not regognised on windows or itunes and will not charge!
i have reset, restarted and updated etc and nothing has happened. i have read other thru peoples messeges who have simular problems and they say that reinstalling and reseting to factory conditions doesnt work.
can someone please help me or has any one had the same problem? thanks

Yes, you can.
"Putting your iPod into disk mode" is simply a process that involves pressing a few buttons on your iPod, getting it into Disk Mode.

As Bryan said, see if the iPod is recognized by your computer when it's in disk mode.

Your phone is in recovery mode. All data on it are already lost. You must connect your phone to your computer and restore through iTunes.

I have not tried that...I will look up the process so that I can do it correctly (and still transfer all of my files, contacts, etc). Any suggestions? What is the advantage of restoring as a new device..is this more akin to a complete wipe of a hard drive?

CD Ripped Music on iPhone6 Greyed out in iTunes and will not Sync/Transfer

I recently added my MP3 files back into iTunes. I didn't seem to have any issues transferring any of these songs to my iPod Nano or work iPhone4s. When I try to transfer these items to my new iPhone6 they are greyed out in iTunes and will not transfer. I can, however, view and play the library when switching to the hone share file on wi-fi.
What am I not able to transfer these songs to my iPhone6?

Actually I just corrected this on my own by syncing specific items and checking nothing at all and then going back to select everything.
