  • ITunes and App Store saying my password is incorrect when it isn't?

I have never before had an issues with iTunes or the App Store. However, starting yesterday evening, I went to sign into the iTunes Store on my laptop and it told me my password was incorrect. The same problem occured on my iPhone when I went to download a twitter update.
However, I've managed to sign onto the Apple website in order to post this question with no difficulties? Iv'e waited 24 hours now since my password hasn't been working on both my laptop and iPhone and nothing has changed despite changing my password twice?
If anyone could give me a solution or any ideas on how to fix this it would be very much appriciated!
    Tthank you!

Seeing a lot of threads re: imessage being down in the last hour, could be a problem with the Apple server.  I would try again later.

  • My Ichat wont run, i made an AIM account and it keeps saying my password is incorrect?

My Ichat wont run, i made an AIM account and it keeps saying my password is incorrect?

Sometimes the PW being wrong isn't a good clue, it could mean a typo in the username/email addy.

  • Cannot sign in to iTunes account on phone, says my password is incorrect every time

I have the iphone 5c.  I have always had trouble signing in to the iTunes account - always says my password is incorrect.  Every time!!! So I go to my laptop and change my icloud password.  Try to sign in and same thing over and over.  I have changed my password several times in the last month trying to login to my Apps Store to download an app.  Never works.  Help, please!

Make sure you sign out of the other devices and then sign in with the new PW

  • HT1595 It takes literally hours to load a move and I have good wireless signal...what's up with that?

It is taking literally hours for movies to load on Apple TV using both NETFLIX and iTunes.  I have a strong wifi signal and according to the connection test, all is well.  What's up with that?

Wifi signal and connection test don't really give a good indication of where things are at
Check speedtest.net to see actual connection speed, needs at least 6mbps consistently for instant HD stream
Check istumbler.net or netstumbler to verify interference
Male sure you are on the ISPs DNS (settings - network - configure DNS - automatic)

  • Somtimes Firefox loads a blank page; the Tab says "New Tab" and the URL is always "about:blank". What's up with that?

Using Dogpile, I search and a list of URLs comes up. I select and click on one and Firefox opens a new tab. It responds promptly with a blank screen. The Tab says "New Tab" and the URL says "about:blank". The last one came up slowly in IE and turned out to be nothing more than a large pdf. Can you help me figure out what is happening and how to fix it, please? It is happening far too often. Running the virus, etc. software has not stopped this problem. Thank you very much for your help! Hutchy

  • My brand new iPad air has been completely unresponsive and needed to be "hard restarted" twice.  What's up with that?

3 days ago, I purchased a new iPad air.  I've installed a few apps on it and have generally just been playing with it and figuring out the OS.  Yesterday, while trying to wake it up, I noticed the device was completely unresponsive, the screen would not even turn on.  I executed a hard restart (held down home and power for 10 sec).  That seemed to remedy it for the time being but it just happened again.  I'm concerned that this will be a recurring issue and will possibly degenerate into a bigger problem for my new iPad.  Is this a known issue?  If so is it a hardware or software related problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

    My first reaction is, "Yuck!"
I participated not too long ago in this forum in a discussion about music on web pages. All people with any real experience were pretty much against it, unless there was some control that would allow someone to turn it off and on, with the default being set to "off." And, of course, I don't know how it would play with assistive technolology for blind persons (were I to add sounds to one of my web pages, my sister, who is blind, would kill me, I think).
You would need Ogg Vorbis audio in order for it to be playable in all browsers and I should mention that I had a real nightmare dealing with video on this website because I had not told Apache that Ogg is a supported MIME type. Firefox would not play the Ogg video until I edited the .htaccess file thusly:
    AddType audio/ogg .oga
    AddType video/ogg .ogv
    AddType application/ogg .ogg
I would imagine you would have to do that on any Apache server. Until you did this, your audio might be playable in some browsers and not playable in others, like Firefox.
But be careful to not totally distract people with your audio files. Audio on a website brought up in the workplace is usually a clue to others nearby that the person is not working for the company. The first thing that happens is that the page is immediately closed when audio starts coming out of the speakers.

  • When I choose 'security questions' and give the answer to the question: who or name your oldest sibling and I give the answer, it is rejected and I know who my brothers are. What's up with that?

What sort of information is needed now?

Which website are you referring to?
    Is it Apple's, a bank, or ?
If it keeps being rejected, you may have to contact the website. It might have been something as simple as a typo when you first entered that information. I'd try the "forgot my password" link and try to reset that - once you've able to do that, you should be able to go to your account settings and check/change the security questions/answers.

i have an 08 apple desktop and my ipad mini wont connect with my itunes and i cant find updates to fix this what do i do?

From Apple's website and printed on the box the mini came in:
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
    Download iTunes at www.itunes.com/download
You will have to update to at least OS X 10.6.8 or later, otherwise known as snow leopard.

Have FireFox 3.1.6...less cumbersome. Lately it's been freezing up (can't close page without using Ctrl, Alt, Delete) and it is VERY slow to open. What's up with that?
Have made no system changes. Have Avast for antivirus,. which updates itself regularly.
Run Sys Defrag a few times a week. Don't know what else to do other than uninstall and reinstall.
    OS = XP Home

Sorry downgrading is not supported by Apple.

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

    If no joy...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Restore “... either from Backup or as New...

Also consider Deleting any Apps you have Purchased / Downloaded but you now never use..

    Hi hectorness12!
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I have found an article that can help you with troubleshooting your iMessage issue. The article can be found here:

Updating Snow Leopard won't help.  You need to Upgrade OS X to Lion or higher if your system will support it.  First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.
    Lion system requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Mountain Lion and Mavericks requirements are the same, and are shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.
If you can run Mavericks, you can download a free upgrade from the Mac App Store.  If your system can only run Lion, or you need Mountain Lion rather than Mavericks for software compatibility reasons, youcan contact the online store at the number shown at the bottom of this page and purchase a redemption code to download it from the Mac App Store.
After upgrading, you will find iCloud in System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, and can set it up as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.
Before upgrading, you should be aware that PPC programs such as AppleWorks will not run on Lion or above.  You may want to check the compatibility of your existing programs by checking here: http://roaringapps.com/apps:table.

    Hello jthompsonn25,
I'm sorry to hear about your iPhone and the issues you are having with Messages on your Mac. If you are trying to send iMessage messages in Messages, your iMessage account should be tied to your Apple ID (same account name and password). If you are having password issues in Messages, you may want to verify that you have the correct password by logging in to your Apple ID directly:
    Apple - My Apple ID
If you are unable to or are still getting an error message with your password, you may need to reset the password on your Apple ID. If that is the case, you may find the following article helpful:
If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support
    Sincerely,
    - Brenden
