Itunes and my ipod wont sync :(

i have recently bought a new laptop preloaded with windows 7. i also downloaded the newest version of itunes. i loaded new music from cds to itunes, authorised my computer nd connected my ipod. my ipod connected for about 5 seconds and then said it was done but no new music had been loaded! i'm so confused! can anyone help me please?

Check your sync settings to make sure nothing has changed. Connect your iPod and click on it's icon in the iTunes source list (the narrow pane on the left). This will bring up the preferences tabs in the main pane on the right. The first tab you'll see is Summary, look for "manually manage songs and videos", if there is a check mark there then the iPod is set to update manually and you have to drag songs from the iTunes library to the iPod to load them on. If you want to update automatically you need to remove the check mark from there (I would also remove the "enable disk use" check mark unless you want to use the iPod as a removable storage device) and click the Apply button in the right hand corner.
Just be aware though that if you sync the iPod with your new iTunes and there are any songs that are on the iPod but not in iTunes they will be erased from your iPod.

So today is Chritmas and everything so I got iTunes Gift Cards ^_^. I go to my computer (PC) and log into my iTunes and everything and see Pitch Perfect so thinking I've got enough money for this I can just buy it no problem. My ipod was acting up, it wouldnt sync any new songs purchased after i updated my itunes. So i thought okay i will restore it, and sync everything back, so i restored it and now it tries until a message saying 'The ipod 'IPOD' could not be restored. An unknown error occurred. (14)'
I have tried to sync the same library onto an older ipod and the same thing has occurred.
Please help i dont like not have my music!!!!!!!

i tied to sync my ipod to the itunes but, the apps wont sync it just says the apps will be replaced with the ones on the itunes library,but there isnt any apps on there, i deleted all the apps after i use to use the library for my old iphone helpp, the ipod used to be synced with a another i tunes libary that i have deleted now

You can only sync with one ITunes library. It you switch iTunes library iTunes will erase the iPod and replace it contents with what is in the library of the new computer. -
I recently bought some songs from itunes, and I tried to sync my mac air laptop to my nano ipod, but it didn't work. I usually use my PC computer to do this, and my music is in the itunes library on my mac, it just won't sync to my ipod. When I tried to sync my ipod to my PC to see if the computer was the problem, my recently purchased songs still didn't show up. Any ideas as to what to do? Thanks!

My iPad 2 will no longer Sync with iTunes on my computer. It tells me to Restore which I don't want to do as I may lose valuable information from my iPad. My wife's iPad 2 and my ipod still Sync OK. How can I overcome this?

Sync problem - earlier today I updated both iTunes and my iPod Touch. Since then, I have tried syncing the two. The iPod Touch claims that there is no music on the iPod, however, when I connect it to my computer it says my full library is on there. At present, I am unable to listen to songs on the iPod when not connected to the computer. What can I do to fix this?

ITunes and my iPod are not syncing
I'm having a few problems with iTunes and my iPod right now. I have the Classic 160GB if that makes any difference.
The laptop my original iTunes library was on died. I tried transferring all the songs off my iPod to the new computer. When I transferred only the purchased songs are showing in the library. The songs I uploaded from CDs are only showing on my iPod.
2. I purchased several songs about 2 weeks ago and they will not sync to my iPod; they are only showing in the library. Which leads me into my 3rd problem.
3. For some reason, the sync songs manually option is checked, and when I uncheck it I get a message that says if I continue the contents on my iPod will be replaced with the current contents of the library. (I don't not want this to happen.) Also, when I go to the summary of my iPod and click the music tab and try to sync that way, I get the same message about replacing contents with current library.

Installing iTunes does not cause content to magically appear on the computer.
Your media is only where you put it.
iOS devices are not backup devices.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer. -
My macbook won't let me download the new version of itunes and my ipod won't sync without the new version of itunes. Please help!!!

my ipod is disabled and i forgot the password and after that i plugged it in itunes and it still wont let me and the buttons arent working so i cant put it in recovery mode so what do i do!!

I had to format my computers hard drive. Now the iTunes thinks my iPOD is sync'd with another computer. How do I get re-sync the iPOD and computer and get my songs on the iPOD back in to the iTunes library. Thanks!
Can't tell you exactly, as it can be used to facilitate piracy and Apple blocks this sort of thing from occuring (except for itunes purchased music)
But you can find out what your looking for at iLounge, i'd suggest that method for "mixed" music from different sources, that way you get it all back.
Next time, hit the iTunes menu and backup your library to disks, only takes a few minutes and a few DVD-R's.

My PC computer was wiped (virus) including itunes. How do I transfer the many playlists and music on my ipod to the new re-installed itunes?? Ipod is synced to old itunes. I have all original music files on external hard drive. Please help?
New itunes is trying to wipe the ipod. But have many many playlists (many hours making) which I want to save. Any help would be appreciated.If you want to just extract the playlists from your iPod, plug it in iTunes. When it appears under devices, right->click on it and choose Export Playlists. Save them to a location such as your desktop and them import them into your library once you have copied and imported all of your music back into it.
