ITunes and Quicktime issue (Please Help)

So last night I download the update for iTunes. Everything seemed to be going fine, I didn't have any problems. This morning I turn on my computer and try to run iTunes and it gives me an error message, an dwon't even open iTunes. Not only that, I can't run any Quicktime file, it gives me the same message. I downloaded the installer again and attempted to repair iTunes. It said I was sucessful, but when I tried opening iTunes or Quicktime the error still appeared. This is really frustrating, this is what I get for updating? Someone please help!

Can't Unistall iTunes or Quicktime! Please HELP!

We have used iTunes for a couple of years now and haven't had any problems until I bought my daughter an iPod Nano. The iPod requires iTunes 7 which I downloaded and tried to install but an error keeps coming up that I don't have sufficient privileges to "iPod Services" so I thought I would try to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime and then reinstall them, but when I go into the Add/Remove feature from the Control Panel and click on remove, it does nothing! And Quicktime isn't even listed in the Add/Remove section so I went to Quicktime in the "all programs" menu and tried to uninstall Quicktime from there and it tells me that Quicktime isn't installed, which is weird because it's listed in the "all programs" menu. Can anyone help me. My daughter is totally bummed because she hasn't been able to do anything with the ONLY present that she wanted for Christmas. I am running Windows XP Service Pack 2. Any help would truly be appreciated. THANK YOU!!

I have a similar problem, no ones seems to understand how iTunes 7 works when you had previous versions installed. Surprised you don't get them uninstalled, my XP control panel function did that part OK. I guess you can always manually delete the files but this may leave registry issues behind.

Itunes and ipod freeze please help

I need any help possible..... after the iunes upgrade my ipods (classic and a second gen nano) wont show up in itunes... they showq up in my computer though...after I unplug them then the administrater screen pops up and says it cant find the file..... (duh... I unplugged it).... I have windows xp... I plugged it into my girlfriends vista computer this past weekend and it worked fine...... please help.... I have uninstalled itunes.. uninstalled all apple software like it says to do.... nothing works.....troy

Drag and drop issue, please help.

I can no longer drag and drop photos within photoshop elements 12. When working with a layer, I want to move it to a layer within another existing file, and no longer have the option. The only way I have fixed the issue in the past is uninstall and reinstall the program. I've read other forum posts and followed the instructions by resetting preferences and it does not work.
Does anyone have any solutions to this issue? Please help!

With both files open, simplest to tile them side by side, you should be able to drag the layer from the source file onto the target file. So long as it shows the 'grasping hand' you can release the mouse and it should add the layer to the target.
So what is happening now on your system? When you drag the layer to the target what icon is shown - 'grasping hand', 'no entry', something else?

Itunes and quicktime for windows ( HELP )

I just purchased a ipod w/color display and installed the software on my pc (DELL w/windows XP).every time I click on the itunes or quicktime icon the start page flashes up for a brief second and is gone. I can not get it to work after that. I have went through msconfig and reset my startup settings whic will allow me to bring up the itunes screen, but if I close the application I can not get it back. I now can not delete the itunes/quicktime software so I can try to reinstall it.PLEASE HELP

he first thing I'd suggest is to get a good antispyware checker and give it a go at your system. Some recent spyware has been reported by other users to shut down iTunes or prevents it from launching. From user reports, Ewido seems to be the best at catching it. You can download a free version of Ewido here.

I'm sure that these questions have been answered before, but having looked around I'm getting more and more confooozed Can you help me?
I have a 30gig ipod with about 4,000 songs on. I have a 2 week old 16g 3G iphone with about 1,000 songs on and a number of bought apps. Both of these devices were synced to itunes on a Sony Vaio laptop running XP. Due to a "falling of the table" incident the Vaio has died!! I have replaced it with a Dell Inspiron running XP Pro.
My girlfriend has an ipod nano with about 1,000 songs on it. She was synced to a separate itunes account on our desktop computer. This computer is about to die too. (yeah 2010 has be a techno-nightmare so far!!)
I have backed up her itunes folder to a jump drive, but previously only backed up my ipod music i.e not the itunes folder just the music subfolder(can't think why??!) to the same jump drive.

I lose my internet connection when i sync iTunes and ATV. Please help

Ive just bought a new Apple TV and I am trying to stream TV shows and movies from my iMac via the wireless network.
The ATV found the right network instantly and I wrote in the password. Ive paired the iMac iTunes and ATV and I can see all the episodes and movies on my TV.
When I want to start to watch any of it, it loses its connection to the router/network. And so does the iMac. I havent had any trouble with the iMacs connection to the network until now. If Im not trying to watch anything on my TV, the internet is fine on both the ATV and iTunes.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Ive tried to fix the DHCP in my router settings, but im not even sure what that means, let alone if it helps When i lose the internet, I can still see the network name, but when I try to connect, it says that connection timeout.
I have a D-Link DI 524 router.

EDIT: If I exit iTunes my internet connection is fine. As soon as I start it and iTunes starts to sync with ATV, I lose the internet. Anyone know why and how I can fix it?
I forgot to add that WAN settings in my router says that I have Dynamic IP Address.

Okay.. When i stop the syncing between the ATV and itunes, I can watch a movie/TV-show for about 30 seconds, then the network will timeout.
So i know the atv is working. I have a feeling its the router that is too old? I will try to upgrade its firmware tomorrow, as i was told i couldnt to this when connected to wireless?

Itunes 7 and burning issues - Please help!

I upgraded to itunes 7 yesterday and now I can't burn CDs. When I insert the CD it says checking media, the CD light flashes, then it does nothing. The panel at the top goes back to the apple logo?
Any idea what I should do? I tried emailing apple, but none of their suggestions were relevant.

Wifi and time issues please help.

My daughters iPod touch 5th generation is constantly resetting the time incorrectly, I had it on auto time in the correct time zone but it keeps eventually resetting to the wrong time then I tried manually inputting the correct time but it eventually reset again to the wrong time. It's also having issues picking up the wifi, we have 5 other i devices that have no problem with wifi so I know this problem is just specific to this particular unit. This has been an ongoing issue since day she got it Xmas 2012. I've tried restoring several times but to no avail. PLEASE can someone help. We spent a lot of money on this device and she can't use it to its full potential! :(

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

Driver and software issue, please help!

I am having an issue. I am running itunes v 7.2 and ever since, I get a message saying "disk burner or software not found". I have tried everything listed on these boards, including rebooting, updating the GEARS driver, etc. And nothing worked! I could only do the 32 bit GEARS though, the other two said my system don't suport them. Apple needs to come up with a fix. It looks like a lot of people have this issue! It is also a turnoff to itunes for people, including myself as I am considering droping itunes all together if this issue is not resolved. Even if it means I loose the songs I bought. I will just have to buy them again with another program and burn them on a program that works. I ran the diagnostic and this is what I got:

The last failed audio CD burn had error code -128(0xffffff80). It happened on drive E: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B on CDR media at speed 0X.

G530 - driver and key issues--please help!

Hey, everyone.
I'm having some issues. A while ago I upgraded to Windows 7 (32 bit) Home Premium, found out that I could no longer change the screen brightness. This was my only issue with the upgrade. So, I suffered through, later caught a virus through a bad download, and did a complete system restore, ridding myself of everything and restored back to Vista.
I recently--just a few hours ago--upgraded again to Windows 7, updated my BIOS, and thought everything was peachy. It is not so. The number keys (not the 'number pad') 1-0 do not work at all--only 7-0 if the number lock function is activated. I've triple-checked and restored my keyboard options to US standard but nothing doing. All of the other keys work.
As well as suffering through that, I've discovered that a driver I didn't realize I had, GuardedID, is not functioning properly, warning me with every few keystrokes: "GuardedID keyboard driver is not responding. More detail on the error is available in the Event Viewer under Manage in the toolbar. GuardedID is now turned Off." Not only am I irritated with this message popping up every so often but I'm becoming paranoid.
There is no trace of GuardedID on my computer--none that I can find. I tried searching online, finding software that I have to purchase but I am assuming that I would have had it 'free' if I hadn't even know I had it. Any kind of help would be amazing.

On another isuse about brightness control, there is another article about it that will be helpful for you if your machine type is type 4151 or 4446. G530 cant change brightness on Windows 7 Professional

GeeThree volume 7 and Quicktime issues ughh, help!

I just bought some plug-ins. G3 volumes 4-5 and G3 volume7,9. So, I installed them. They all seem to be workiing except G3 7 titles. When I go to titles-GeeThree Slick 7, underneath it is suppossed to be numerous wild fx titles...wild fx-black, wild fx-doopy, etc. But mine just has one,wild fx 7. When I try to open it, it tells me that I cannot use Geethree slick 7 without enabling flash on my Quick time. My flash is already enabled. I just updated my quick time yesterday too. I do usually have that annoying problem on my quicktime, that automaticaly unchecks my image and miscellaneous file options under mime settings.
can anyone help? This is a project due tomorrow for my last college undergraduate class ever!

Sorry that no one could post to you before your project was due. I don't have the answer; just an observation. Some GeeThree effects simply do not work in iMovie 6. They may work in preview mode, but when you apply them, you get a blank screen.

I have a BOM material(say M) which is made up of 3 components(say A, B and C).
I procure component A from 3 different countries(T1, T2 andT3), component B from 2 different countries(T4 and T5) and component C from 4 different countries(T6, T7, T8 and T9).I process them and prepare a finished good M(as mentioned above) and export it. I want to track the country of origin of each of the components of this BOM.How can I achieve this?
To make my question more clear..If I am exporting material M, I should be able to track all the 9 countries(T1..T9) because M is made up of 3 components procured from 9 countries(in all).
Since the problem is critical, I would appreciate your urgent help on this.Thanks!!
