ITunes.app connection message after using CleanMyMac

Hi,
After performing a cleanup with CleanMyMac and open iTunes I get this incoming network connection message that some people have seen before:
"Do you want the application iTunes.app to accept incoming network connections?
Clicking Deny may limit the application's behaviour.This setting can be changed in the Firewall pane of Security preferences.
Deny Allow
I get this message every time I open iTunes(after the program being closed). I have looked in System Pref - Sec - Firewall but I can's seem to do anything about it.
Can anyone help?

aditz, you should always have a bootable clone of your entire hard drive (Note: not a Time Machine backup).
That way if anything bad happens when you try out a new application that's supposed to "clean your mac" but in fact makes a mess of it, you always have a fully functioning clone you can use to clone back to your internal hard drive and then carry on "as you were".
I would take the advice just given by Sig and select "allow".. and then reorganise your settings in iTunes itself so that iTunes store is turned off.
PS note to self: don't ever be tempted to try out "Clean my Mac".

XE connection problem after using Cisco AnyConnect Client

I have a rather annoying problem connecting to an XE instance AFTER I have disconnected from a VPN via a Cisco AnyConnect VPN Agent.
Sequence of operations:
- start Oracle XE and work normally
- connect to client's vpn
- do other stuff
- DISCONNECT from Client's VPN
-> unable to connect to XE service any more, unless I reboot
The problem does not happen with other vpn clients like Cisco VPN Service, Juniper, Checkpoint.
Details:
- sqlplus connection WITH service name (eg sqlplus user/pwd@XE): FAILURE with ORA-12170
- but...sqlplus connection WITHOUT service name (eg sqlplus user/pwd): SUCCESS (weird !)
- tnsping XE: TNS-12535 error
- lsnrctl status output (sorry, italian localized)

The apps can only be run on an iOS device. They will not run on your PC.

Not on your own. Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put it back onto the card; they'll only do this if none of the balance has been spent.

APPS connection to db using SQLPLUS

Hi Gurus,
As part of security implementaiton after a successful upgrade of DB from 9.2.0.6 to 10.2.0.5 we have created custom db users to connect to the database so we can audit user activities. We have also changed the APPS password and other users like HR etc. Now we want to disable APPS connection to the db using sqlplus and toad.
Is there a way we can stop Apps and other users like hr connection to the db using sqlplus and toad?

No long text in message after using after using DSWPNOTIFCREATE

After creating a message by using the BSP DSWPNOTIFCREATE the long text is not visable in the message. When I display the massage in solutions manager the system Data, short text is visable in the message, but not the longtext.

Why is it when i open my iTunes app it closes after a few seconds

When i go to go onto my iTunes app it loads for a few seconds and then it closes taking me back to my homepage?

Issues with mouse clicks/jumps after using CleanMyMac App.

Since using this app. my hitherto slightly slow responding iMac has required multiple mouse clicks and is less/unresponsive.
Anyone else used this software?
As yet have not approached CleanMy Mac.
I have reinstalled Mountain Lion (download) not clean install.
Any suggestions? Is there a separate app for mouse that I can reload. Im guessing a minor chunk of code was deleted along with rubbish.

Uninstall CleanMyMac and do not reinstall it.
CleanMyMac is one of a broad category of time- and money-wasters capable of causing system corruption that can only be rectified by reinstalling OS X, restoring from a backup, or completely erasing your system and rebuilding it from the ground up. Get rid of it and test your Mac for operation. If it does not perform normally, the possibility that Cleanmymac resulted in system corruption must be considered.
The vast majority of Mac problems reported on this site are the direct result of having used garbage like that. Never install such junk on a Mac.

Download iTunes app get message account has been disabled

As you can see, I am able to log into the community to post, but, when I attempt to download the Citrix Receiver app from iTunes, after entering the same username and password I used to get into the community, I receive a message, my account has been disabled. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this. I need the Citrix Receiver to access applications.

If you see a message that your account has been disabled for security reasons:

If your account is just disabled, you'll have to email iTunes Support to have it reenabled. You'd probably know if your account was completely disabled, as this typically happens if you reported unauthorized activity through iTunes, a pay service or financial institution. ITunes restore error message after iphone upgrade to OS5

Since installing iphone OS5 I've been getting a message when connecting to itunes that my restore was interrupted and would I like to continue to restore from my last backup. I've tried restoring several times and I keep getting the same error message at the end of the restore. I also had trouble installing the OS5 upgrade because of an error -34 (something related to the fact that my music was compressed). How do I restore my phone so that this error does not keep appearing? It seems no data was lost.

Do you still have access to the old system? If so drag the iPHtoo library on the new system to the desktop and Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

Allow iTunes to connect Message

Whenever I launch iTunes I get an alert dialog box asking "...Do I want ... iTunes to accept incoming network connections" I've gone through the firewall settings. I have block all connections disabled, iTunes is in list of "managed apps" but it's set to allow incoming connections" and I have the "Automatically allow signed software ..." enabled.
Is there away to disable the alert message?

I think software on the unit has likely been damaged and needs to be reinstalled, so restore as new will be needed.

ITunes won't open after using Windows Media Center

Today I used Windows Media Center so I could play my music and videos through my X-Box. Now when I try to open iTunes it comes up with the message "The folder itunes is on a locked disk or you do not have write permission for this folder". Nothing has been changed, I did not lock anything, and now the folder automatically reverts itself to Read-Only. Please help

My app. not showing on App Store anymore after using In-App purchase

It's more than a week that my app is not showing in it's category, after Apple released the new version, in the new version I used In-App purchase and both In-App purchase and the new version of the app are approved by Apple but they never showed up in their category since.
It seems it's happening to the new one which was approved yesterday and is disappeared from it's category under new releases section ( posted date was correct the same day it was approved )
Does any body else has this issue ?

Also know as an 'update'...
Looks like Apple has quietly changed the process where updated apps could be dated the day they were approved (more recent than the original release data) and show up at the top of the recently released apps all over again.
Updated apps will not appear at the top of the recently released list any longer, it seems.
If you search on your app by name, etc., it should still be there. If it is gone completely, use one of these email contacts...
