ITunes app search for CC members

Hello All,
I was wondering if someone who has submitted a single edition magazine (app) to the iTunes store could share how to search for an app created with a CC account?
I'm nearing the completion of my first DPS publication for iPad and would like to make it available through iTunes, although I noticed there is no search feature on the iPad UI.  All of the newsstand publications that I see via the iPad UI are namebrand multi-edition (in app purchases) and I'm wondering how independent single edition publishers like myself who use CC get noticed?
Thanks!

Photoshop Touch needs to be purchased separately, sorry.

I can not store all my Music on my internal Macbook pro hard drive so I am storing it on a large external drive connected to my airport extreme (2 TB drive plugged into the USB port).  I see the drive on my laptop and I can add and delete files no problem.  How do I get Itunes to search for the music here with out trying to copy it to my laptop's hard drive?  I don't have enough space to do that.

How did you move the music to the external drive?  What exactly is on the drive?  The entire iTunes folder or only music?  If it is the entire iTunes folder you can do the option+start suggestion earlier.  If you copied only music and did so by dragging it there then you need to delete it again and consolidate/organize it there instead so iTunes tracks the move.  iTunes 12 for Mac: Change where your iTunes files are stored - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH19507

When I open iMovie (09), the app searches for missing iPhoto files.  These are files I deleted.  I have to close about 30 dialog boxes before I can start using iMovie.  How do I make this stop?

So it seems the issue is when iMovie is wanting to creat thumbnails, if I ask it to ignore then it's fine but if not it hangs up searching for the video file.

  • Problem in app search for us store with ios 6 .

    Hi ,
I developed an application which is available on all countries , But while searching for the app with app name in us store . It does not list the application on the first page ,  it show the application on second page Instead it shows a similar name recomendations and ask user to search that app instead on first page.
It seems to users that there is no such application exist with this name so they ommit the application.
But on all other store it show application without any issue 0
Please help me with this issue , I dont added my application name in the keyword list .

Whether an older compatible version of the app is available in the store depends upon whether the developer of the app has made it available. As far as I know the app needs to be in your purchase history for it to work i.e. it is only via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on the device that you will get the prompt as to whether to download an older compatible version (if one is available), not from the main part of the store.

  • Need itunes to search for music!!

I can't figure out how to get itunes to search my hard drive for music. Since all kinds of problems with installing new version (old one wiped out entirely) finally got it to open, (two months later) now there's almost no music. Two 50 cent albums, nothing else. None of the good stuff.
My stuff is still on windows media player (thank god for Microsoft). How do I get itunes to look for it and copy it to itunes? (Like the old version did!!!)
    Thanks.

    Hello dis-appointed,
In the Help for iTunes for Mac, the following answer comes up to the query “Search for files”. I suspect that the second one will be the most relevant for you. I presume you can do that via the “Find” facility from the Start menu.
I agree that it would be good to be able to search in the way that the older versions did.
Quoted from iTunes Help for Mac
Here are ways to make your songs appear in the library again:
    • In the Finder, drag your iTunes Music folder to the iTunes window. You will see the songs in your library again, but not playlists, song ratings, or other information you created.
    • If that doesn't work, your songs may be elsewhere on your hard disk. In the Finder, choose File > Find and search for a song by title or artist. Or search for "MP4" to find files downloaded from the iTunes Store or "MP3" to find songs encoded in MP3 format. Drag songs (or folders containing songs) to the iTunes window to add the songs to iTunes again.
    Best of luck,
    Martin

  • ITunes AUTO search for missing songs REQUEST

I'm writing to find if there is a way to make my life MUCH easier when moving music files between locations.
    Currently my setup is:
    Music files on networked PC
    iTunes on my G4
The problem is, I refuse to allow iTunes to manage my own files, and it would be impossible with my current networked configuration. However, if I move a file between folders; iTunes give the exclaimation mark saying that it can't find the file.
First problem: using 10.2, the file browser only lets me view about 20 characters, which is hard to distinguish what file it is. But my major second problem, is that if I move several files; I don't want to have to find EACH file. Reimporting the files, loses the play count and sometimes the ratings.
Is there a way that iTunes will search a new folder (assuming the file name is the same?)??

I am with digitaljoe . . . this should be addressed by Apple because it is weak that iTunes is so "stupid" that it can't relink files with a simple prompting by a user. It's not hard technology or programming (for example, Adobe's After Effects can almost always relink ALL missing files simply by showing it where one of the missing files is - even when the rest of the files are on different file paths). The idea that a library that can number in the thousands of songs is limited to relinking one file at a time is a real detriment to this type of program and Apple should have been way on top of this issue.

  • Force iTunes to search for iPhone

    Hello all,
I was just wondering if there was a way to force iTunes to search on the local wifi network for my iPhone so I can then go ahead and sync?
Im on 10.8.2 and using iTunes 10
    Thanks
    Chris

    Nope. I know, it's frustrating.

  • My ipod touch 3rd gen freezes when using the itunes app looking for podcasts

When looking at podcasts with my Ipod touch's itunes app, when i attempt to download podcasts from the nerdist podcast, the itunes app freezes and shuts me out for a minute or two. This only happens on some podcasts but not all.

Okay so, with some patience and some tinkering... It appears to be a problem with the most popular podcasts.  Maybe something to do with so many people downloading it at the same time?  Anyway, I've found you just have to wait it out.  Keep your itouch active and from going to sleep and eventually it will load the podcasts and you will be able to download them.  On average it takes me anywhere from 2 to 8 minutes to get my most popular podcasts, I just keep it on the screen and keep it from going to sleep

  • Filtering app search for "itunes file sharing"

Is there a way to do a filtered search in itunes for apps that support itunes file sharing? Looking by trial and error has not been all that productive. I've found a couple useful apps that use the itunes file sharing: Phone Drive, and Quick Password Manager. I'd also like to find a decent spreadsheet app, that's smaller in size than the giant Apple apps--trying to retain room for some music.
I don't use the cloud or wi-fi, so itunes file sharing is very useful for transfering files, etc. And if there is a app or method for syncing between itunes file sharing and my mac, that would be a bonus.

Anything actually stored in iTunes, docs, apps, ect, should be backed up. If you are bacing up the iPad to iTunes, those back ups files would be in Time Capsule (although I confess, I've never had to extract one).
As for apps themselves, they can always be redownloaded (both on the iPad and in iTunes on the PC).

  • HT5295 Has the "get more episodes" link gone away with the new ios podcast app?  If I want another episode of a podcast, I have to exit the app and go to itunes and search for the show and episode?

Do I really need to navigate out of the app to simply download a new or different episode in the Podcast app?  Was a simple one touch before, but maybe I am missing something.

Nevermind, I realize you must the have subscription button (in settings) turned to 'on' in order to manage/DL episodes.

  • Creating/using folders in iTunes apps section for sync (not iOS folders)

So I use my iPad mainly for work. I have about 600-1000 PDF documents I want to organize. I've been using Goodreader for years. The issue is the initial sync of the Folders, it's too clunky. I have to drag a million files into the Apps section of iTunes, and even if I have the folders already created and showing up in the little drag to box, I can't actually put files in that way through iTunes.
Is there a better app or a better way to do this?

  • Apps searching for users

We're having issues w/ a couple apps that we're trying to set up in our
    DSFW AD environment.
Seems we cannot get the app (or computer via users & computers,
delegation) to search our tree anywhere besides the
    CN=Users,DC=domain,DC=net location.
Our DSFW domain is set up on our ou=CCG partition of our tree which
contains OUs that have all our users in them.
DSFW servers (3 of them) are oes11, fully patched.
    Suggestions?

So my response to hargagan's comment is...
We are trying to install March Network's command software (security
    camera) into our dsfw AD.
When we go to install it, it tries to connect to one of our DC's by
sending a 'blank' user/password (even though I set one up in the
software to use), in hopes to initiate a search. DSFW gives an error,
while a MS DC will let the software initiate a search to try and find
    the user.

    Hi,
Can you please get us a packet trace of the application run against DSfW. If we have a packet trace for the working AD case, then it will be very helpful.
    Thanks,

  • ITunes 10 search for exact match or Boolean Searches

Is there a way to force an exact match when performing a search in iTunes?
I tried putting "" around my search and get no results.
The goal would be to search Artists for the artist "Hem", and only show results for only "Hem" and not both "Hem" and "Edie Brickel and the New Bohemians"
As far as I can tell there are no Boolean search options in here either.

    Thanks,
I know Smart Playlists is a workaround for this, but that is about that is about 6 clicks plus typing to accomplish what could be done by simply typing in "hem" in the search field. If you use Smart Playlists for this, you would also need to go back and delete the playlist when you are done.
Yep, like I said I leave it there for next time....
I wonder why they would leave what is now a universally understood search option out of iTunes?
Who knows? Feature requests go to iTunes Feedback.

  • Is there a way to narrow app searches for special education for adults?

I wish to locate easy to use apps for a high functioning adult with Down syndrome but all items seem to be for youth. Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find stuff? There are many more Down syndrome adults around now but resources for them seem to be missing.
What simplified adult programs might I locate?

    I googled
apps for a high functioning adult with Down syndrome
and found this as the third hit:
    http://adultdownsyndromeclinic.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/apps-to-use-for-and-by-peo ple-with-ds.html
unfortunately the link is dead but the actual article is here:
    http://ndsccenter.org/worpsite/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/NDSC-Down-Syndrome-New s-April-2012.pdf
That's as close as I can find to what you want (it's still a little aimed at children).  I don't think you can do better here since this is a forum for assistance with technical faults and I think you'll do better asking on a forum for those helping people with DS.

  • Trying to log into itunes  & app stores for the first time..

When I type in my apple id and password, I receive the following message.....
This apple id has not been used in the iTunes store. Tap review to sign in, then review your account information.
When I try to verify my account information, card details and address for any future billing, I am told my card has been declined?
I have tried a different card and receive the same message. I am not buying anything, just verifying my account.
    What should I do?

Unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
then card details will need to be entered before the account can be used with the iTunes store.
What sort of card are you trying to use as your payment method, credit or debit ? Debit cards don't seem to still be accepted in all countries, and even where they are is appears (based on some posts on here) that not all work.
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) and see if they know why it's being declined (but you might not be able to use a debit card) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management
Or you could see if the steps on this post by mountaingoatgirl lets you review your account without needing to enter credit card details (which will allow you to download free items) : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054#24303054
If none of your cards are accepted and the post by mountaingoatgirl doesn't work then you will need to create a new account, and use the instructions on the above HT2534 page when creating it.
