ITunes/App Store account got hacked...what about my money?

Hey guys, i'm in a really bad situation right now and I hope you guys can feel a little empathy for me...
So, I traveled for 3 day and when I got home, the first thing I checked was my email and there it was a huge app store billing telling me that I had supposedly spent all my 25 dollars in apps that have never touched my computer. I keep my computer free o virus and keyloggers and I dont access internet through anything else but my own pc.
Have no idea how the f* did it but someone hacked my account and spent my money on crappy apps, there's even chinese stuff..omg...
Moving on, I've tried to contact apple 4 days ago and until now, no answer. I have I slightly thought they trying to con me but let's wait a bit more.
*So if this contact with apple doesn't work, what can I do*? It's obviously apple's fault not to ask for more information to authorize a computer...had they asked, this would never happened..

2 days ago I loaded 2 US$50 gift cards into my Apple iTunes account. This morning I received an emailed iTunes receipt $49.99 for a free application, World War (merchant Storm8, LLC) and 800 World War Honor points. I checked my purchase history and found another charge from yesterday for US$34.97 for another 500 Honor points (in-app purchase).
Trolling these forums I found many people claiming the same thing happened to them with other in-app purchases. My question is how were our accounts compromised. I'm sure Apple will deny all culpability after they ban Storm8 from selling on the iTunes store. I remember something like this happening in June/July 2010...
I filed a complaint with iTunes support @ http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ and with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (http://www.ic3.gov). Perhaps if enough people complain, the FBI will come knocking on Apple's door.
In Apple's defense, they did immediately disable my account. Funny thing is, after they disabled my account they they told me to log in and verify my purchase history. They thought the fraudulent purchase might have been an accidental on my part. I guess Apple didn't read the part in my support email that I filed a complaint with the BFI Cyber Crime division. LOL.

    It  could be a problem at the other end, try again tomorrow. Also , try resetting your iPad by holding down the home and sleep/wake button till the Apple logo appears and then let it wake up, maybe that may help.

    Besides signing out of the account, you will need to delete the apps on the device that were purchased under that ID.

    You can only choose None for credit card if you switch to USA AppStore.
    Just while registartion choose USA.

    It sounds like you are signed into your Apple ID in iTunes but when you try and download your previous purchases the list is empty.
    I want to recommend signing out of the iTunes store, then restart your computer.
    To sign in to or out of the iTunes Store:
    In iTunes, choose Store > Sign In (or Sign Out).

    After restarting your computer try to download your previous purchases again.

    I am using the same credit card, and when I download an app on my PC in iTunes it loads fine, but using the same card on my iPhone 5 it declines any purchases. I have checked the card, re-entered it and checked the billing zip code. Any ideas why this is happening?

    First of all, Explicit tags will only appear if your music or song is downloaded via itunes on ur idevice or itunes app.
    For example, your friend downloaded a song from itunes with an explicit content and you get or copied it to transfer to your idevice also... itunes application (pc or mac) will read it as an explicit one, but in your idevice it will not, unless you log in the apple id email account your friend used to download or buy the song to your idevice and download the purchased song. in that case u'll get the explicit tag
    Using metadata, mp3tags, or any softwares that adds "explicit tag" will only be read by Itunes app. but not on your idevice.
    Ways to check if you have a purchased music or song from itunes.
    1. All music from Itunes are M4a or AAC file.
    2. There should be a "Purchased By" and "Purchased Date" including the "Email (apple id account) and name" used for downloading the said song or music.
    (Right click the song from your library, Click Get Info and you should see it.)
    *If you have a friend telling he/she has a song bought from itunes and it is an explicit one, you will know the truth. If it has Explicit tag on his/her idevice then its bought from itunes, but if not.... he/she is lying.
    *If your friend bought a song from itunes and you tried to copied it (an explicit song for example) you will also see the "PURCHASED BY" PURCHASED DATE" "EMAIL AND NAME" etc. but u will not see the Explicit tag once you put it in your idevice, but itunes app will read it as an explicit one,
    There are many sites that are doing piracy, meaning... they are buying the song/album from itunes then upload it over the internet so other people may download it.

    Few days back I wanted to download BBM for iPhone to which I was diverted to New Zealand App Store automatically.
    So whenever I tried to download apps from the AppStore it said, I wasn't in the region which I should be that is India and being in different region I can't download any app.
    So I followed the instructions as above. After updating the region and the proceeding pages of the instruction. There was a deduction of money.
    I didn't buy any gift card or anything neither I went to that page.

    I have moved to the US and want to change my account to the US.  It says that my apple ID is only valid for purchases in the UK.  How do I change this?  I have changed the flag at the bottom of the itunes store, but that hasn't helped.

    I've been trying to create a free itunes app store account. First I read the instructions in this link : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534, but the link shows how to create a new account, the problem is that I already have a Apple ID.
    On the other hand when I try to sign in in the app store with my existing Apple ID, I get the message "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store please review your account information" with two options "cancel" and "review".
    Clicking in review, I go to the page with the terms of service, continuing I go to a page where I have to type my email, my password, question and answer for the password and my birth date. The email field has the email that is being used with my current Apple ID, and the password field has the password of my existing Apple ID. The other fields are blank. Completing them, and clicking in next I go to the payment options page, but there's no "none" option, so I can't make a account withou using a credit card.
    Is there a way to create a itunes app store without a credit card with my existing apple ID, or a I have to create a new one ?

    I had the same error when trying to update my apps on my ipod touch. I tried to input my security code numerous times to no avail. I also made sure my billing address was the same as what my bank had on file. To fix the issue I went into iTunes, logged onto the iTunes store, went to account settings and reviewed my recent purchases. Turned out that I had made a recent purchase and didn't have enough money left on my credit card to pay for it at the time. I paid off the credit card, and then input my security code once more and now it works fine. I've heard that some debit or pay as you go credit cards require a minimum balance, so make sure you have at least that amount in your account.

  • Family Sharing - what's the difference with sharing iTunes/App Store ID/password?

    I currently share my iTunes and App Store account with my son and my wife. I am thinking about turning on Family Sharing. However, beyond my having to approve my son's purchases and him not having to know my password, I am not sure of the real benefit.
    I don't need to share Calendars or Reminders. It would be nice to have a shared photos folder, but that can be done easily with setting up a shared Photo Stream.
    Any other benefits?

    I'm also reading that iTunes Match cannot be shared with Family Sharing. Seems like Apple is going the wrong way with this.

    then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item (free or paid-for) from the store.

    If not then you will need to enter credit card details - you should be able to remove the card after entering it

I do not have this problem with iPad ID is stored and can be used in App Store and iTunes. I have just upgraded to 5c and it's still a problem.

    When fist setting up your new iphone you will be asked to log in with an apple id and password. If this did not happen you can then do as you suggested going to settings to itunes and app store and add your apple id login. This apple id login must have already been created for the iphone to accept it. If this apple id is already created but is not being accepted by your iphone you then should shut down your iphone and restart the device.

    Efter att ha försökt att använda annat wifi fick jag samma problem dvs. kunde fortfarande inte göra uppdatering av mina appar. Jag prövade att ta bort flera stycken av dessa men det var ingen skillnad. På resa med ytterligare ett annat wifi lyckades det helt plösligt, vet inte varför. Får se om det blir samma problem nästa gång jag blir uppmanad att uppdatera appar.
