ITunes at work?
Is there any way I can access my home iTunes library (Mac) from my Windows PC at work?
Will start with media content first. With music and video and what not, you can only sync with one machine, if you try another machine, it will wipe and only load what is on the current machine (this is an attempt to stop file sharing via the device across multiple computers...dumb I know).
You can sync just contact/calendar, etc info with multiple computers just have to make sure only one is set to sync music, video etc (check boxes to turn off syncing on those items in iTunes on other machines other than your main machine).
As for Apps. As they are new, the rules still seem a bit unclear to most (even me). But from what I can see, when you download an App, not only is it tied to your account, but looks like that one computer too. So you cannot sync apps from one computer with another computer even if same iTunes account.
However, have read in blogs that if on other computer that is authroized with the same account, if in iTunes you download that Application again with the same login name, it will know you already bought it (if you paid for it) and not recharge you. But those articles were about people with multiple iPhones...like me and my wife...I bought a game and wanted to get it on her phone where she syncs with another computer. I had to redownload the game on her computer making sure with my account where her computer is authorized with my account. Not sure about one iPhone and multiple computers and how syncing may work out.
For apps, I might suggest if you think you want an app, buy it via the iPhone itself and have it install via cell/wifi. When you sync, it will then come off the iPhone to the computer. See if that works out better for you.

I reloaded iTunes 10 (64 bit) successfully, but the problem remains the same.
Any suggestions?I looked in the folder from which I want to synch photos, but there is no such thing as an "ipod photo cache" in that folder, or sub-folders, as suggested in the link which you were nice enough to provide.
I have also tried removing photos from my iPad2 Photos App, and "iTunes has stopped working" shows up again as soon as I click on the "Synch photos from" button. -

I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great!
The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.

Why will iTunes not work on my computer?
I cannot get iTunes to work on my desktop computer. I had a crash some time ago and think it may have to do with a missing driver. I hope someone can help me with this problem. I can access iTunes on my laptop but it is not convenient.
What computer is it?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Why does my screen turn black when I play iTunes while working on iPhoto?
Why does my screen turn black when I play ITunes while working on iPhoto? I can't click off of the screen but get a message that reads Shut down computer by pressing button in back then turn computer back on by pushing button in back. That's followed by Chinese letters (which I cannot read). I have had other problems when playing iTunes (actually, a radio station on the Internet) while working on iPhoto. Before, I got a window that would pop up and tell me I had no disk space available, that I would have to quit applications that were open. Not many were open.
It would be nice if I could solve this problem once and for all.

When I try to play a downloaded TV show, itunes stops working and I get a error message "APPCRASH". I have updated itunes and removed and reinstalled quicktime.
Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK.
Quit the QuickTime Player if you have it open. Restart the PC and try watching the videos in iTunes again. Do they play now? -

now it wont open because it says i need a high version of quicktime. it says i have quicktime 6.5 i and i need 7.0

hmm. i think it's something you need to install, so if you don't know you have it, you probably don't have it.
let's try this again, using a QT 7.0.3 standalone installer this time.
first use the QT part of the uninstall instructions given here to get rid of that existing QT you have:

after you do that, download the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and use it to check if you still have an entry for Quicktime. if so, remove it:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
then download the standalone QT 7.0.3. save it to your hard drive (we'll run the installation from there rather than online). again, switch off any antivirus and antispyware prior to the install:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
reboot after that install. will itunes run properly now?

My itunes wont work because of DEP closing it. I have tried unistalling my quicktime and unistalling my itunes and reinstalling them but it still wont work. i have followed a couple of discussions but it still wont work. Can someone help me please.

It will synch everything except for photos and videos; it gives the error "iTunes stopped working, program will close" when I try to synch my photos. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall etc. to no avail, it just keeps doing the same thing.
I went back to my old computer 32x machine and successfully re synched and put my photos back on. This seems to indicate that the problem is either with iTunes compatibility with the version of Win 7 on my HP computer or with the iPad compatibility.
Anyone find the solution to this bug? -
ITunes stopped working. Error 7 (Windows 127)
Suddenly iTunes stopped working.
At first my HP Pavillion showed the message "Error 7 (Windows 127)". I googled it, and found a couple of suggestions. I tried to uninstall iTunes and related program files in the right order, but it didn't work.
Now I get this message, and it doesn't help to uninstall iTunes. I allready tried it several times.
After googling the message above, I tried to open the iTunes setup file with winRAR, but that didn't work either.
Now I get this message:
Something about the procedure point of entry ADAdPolicy... is not found in the DLL-library.
When I click 'OK' I get the same message, as I did to begin with "Error 7 (Windows 127)".
What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP Pavilion Notebook and not being able to use ITunes. Can get to safe mode with command prompt? sfc /scannow would scan your system for errors at the command prompt.
Are you downloading ITunes 12.0.1 for Windows ? Current download available here.
Do you have 400MB of available disk space to accommodate the download?
First, try to click the Windows icon, type services in the Search box, and then click or tap View Local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type should be - Automatic, and Service Status should be - started
Restart the computer after this step and try installing again.
You could try this Microsoft fix.

I recently had to reinstall my software for a
dell computer a dell latitude d 830, then after installing all of my software and such including itunes the player did well even record to disks with no problems now that my system has done alot of updating of system files....now the itunes does not burn to my cd...error message 2131 this time ..this has occurred several times on this sytem and and as well as other system this one has window vista 64 bit home prem. why is the itunes not working to burn my disks
it worked fine before the updates to the system and the itunes software is up dated as well...can someone suggest something

The 2131 usually indicates firmware needs to be updated on a drive.
Head to your drivers and downloads page for your latitude at Dell, and check for updates to your firmware for your optical drives. If you're behind and you update, does that clear up the 2131?
