ITunes automatically plays music when computer moves

I work with my computer on my lap 90% of the time and every time I move my computer in the slightest, iTunes starts playing music. I've realized that some form of shuffle is on, but the sensitivity is so high music is continuously starting and stopping any time I move my legs at all. It is the most frustrating thing and I have no idea how to turn it off/increase sensitivity/etc. Please help!

That's not a built-in feature. You must have installed some third-party software that uses motion sensing to control iTunes.

Also, I would like the option to connect to my car stereo as media only and not as a phone. The problem is that if my iPod Touch connects first it will force out my phone from connecting via Bluetooth since it connects as a phone as well as media. I have been able to make this whole setup work by turning both my phone's Bluetooth off and my iPod Touch's Bluetooth off. Then turning my phone's Bluetooth on first and allowing it to connect. Then changing the Bluetooth option on my phone to only connect as phone. Then turning my iPod Touch's Bluetooth on and that works just fine. Both devices respond perfectly but for that to work I have to do that process everytime I get into my car. Is there anyway to set this up so I don't have to go through all of this hassle?
Btw my iPod Touch has been updated to version 4.3.5.
Any suggestion, comments, or concerns would be helpful.

If you store itunes andn iphoto library on the TC you could be in trouble. The TC has no auto backup mechanism.. it is simply unable to work as a true NAS. It has no media servers. It is slow.. it is very easy to corrupt libraries especially in connection over wireless. In general we recommend people do not do this.
If you go ahead anyway.. apple have specific instructions for moving the libraries.. do follow it.
I am not sure if the SONOS can play directly from itunes library or has to use an itunes server.. remember the TC is a dumb as a board router with no media servers. Apple TV also need an active itunes to work AFAIK.. you cannot play files.. unless you JB the ATV.
Also be careful as SONOS does not like apple names.. use all SMB compatible names.. short, no spaces pure alphanumeric.
Finally yes,.. at last .. you can extend the wireless in the TC using another apple router.. you cannot extend wireless using any other brand.

You can usually redownload content through your iTunes Store account. Some content that is redownloadable is determined by the country where you live. However, have you not been also storing all of your iTunes content in the media libraries in the iTunes app on your computer?

Resolution
QuickTime may need to be reinstalled. Follow the steps below to uninstall QuickTime and then download and install QuickTime using the QuickTime standalone Installer.
On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
Follow the steps appropriate for your Windows operating system below.
Windows XP and Windows 2000: Open the Add or Remove Programs control panel and selectQuickTime in the list of currently installed programs.

Using iTunes to play music on two Airport Expresses simultaneously

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to set up a system where iTunes 7.0 on my Windows 2000 PC can play simultaneously to two Airport Expresses.
I've set up the first AE (call it AE1) by connecting it to my LAN with an Ethernet cable; it appears in the Base Station Chooser and I can find it and set it up. I set it up to 'Create a wireless network' and check both boxes in the iTunes tab, and give it an iTunes speaker name. At this point, everything's happy: I can see AE1 in iTunes, and play music to the speakers, and my Nintendo Wii can even get to the internet using AE1. I've left AE1 plugged in to the network.
Now the problem: I bought another Airport Express, call it AE2, and I want the new one to hook up to the existing network and let me play iTunes through the new one, as well. I connected AE2 to my LAN with ethernet and it showed up in the Base Station Chooser; I set it up to 'Join an Existing Wireless Network' and gave it the exact same Network Name: "Mike Home Network". I checked both checkboxes in the iTunes tab and gave the speakers a name. I then unhooked the ethernet, plugged in the speakers to AE2, and unplugged and replugged AE2 to restart it. The light flashes green, goes to yellow for a while, then goes solid green. (So I assume it found a network to hook up to.) iTunes shows the Multiple Speakers button, and I can pick AE1, but no sign of AE2.
I restart iTunes, but it still can't find AE2. Some support suggests using the wizard, but I'm on 2000 so it's not supported.
So my questions:
* Can I verify somehow that AE2 hooked up to the network that AE1 created? Ping it or telnet to it or something? (I can ping AE1 just fine.)
* Is 'Join an Existing Network' the right way to do this?
(I also tried WDS with no success, but I may have done it wrong.)
* AE1 is distributing IP addresses; AE2 is not. Is this correct?
Access Control is turned off on both AE's.
I have Wireless Security set to 'Off' on both.
(I'll re-enable it once I get these two going.)
They're about 20 feet apart.
Wireless channel is 'Automatic' on both. (Also tried it with both on channel 8)
Firmware on both AE's is 6.3
Itunes is version 7
Any suggestions? Anything at all, I'm absolutely stumped and this seems like it should be really straightforward....

Figured it out! thanks everyone for the help.
In the end, I fixed it by turning off 'Distribute IP Addresses' on AE1.
The problem was, if you want iTunes to find the wireless Airport Express, iTunes must be able to see the wireless AE's IP address. When AE1 was distributing IP addresses, it was performing NAT, which meant that iTunes on my PC could not distinguish between AE1 and AE2 behind it.
This is not clear in any of the documentation; I can't be the first person to be confused by this.

Same Problem here. Also, when this happens, it loses whatever album art was playing before. I've tried reinstalling and it doesn't help. Any ideas how to fix this? It's really annoying!

Since I first upgraded my iPod Touch 2nd Gen to iOS 4.x, I cannot play music when connect to external speakers via the 30-pin connector. I've tried several different speaker systems, but none work. My iPod freezes after making my song selection and doesn't do anything until after rebooting. Even then, it just goes through the same cycle if I select another song. My iPod is 100% functional until I try to plug it in to an external speaker system.
Keep in mind that it worked up until iOS 3.1.3.

Sounds like iOS 4 broke the compatibility with your accessory, something that sometimes happens with major OS changes. Your only hope is to see if the accessory manufacturer has an update to make it compatible with iOS 4, or downgrade your Touch back to 3.1.3.

MP4 file doesn't play immediately when I move forward or backward in Media Player

I have a problem with Media Player and I appreciate if someone could help me.
I have a project created in Adobe Premier CS5, all footage are 1920x1080 29.97 fps. After I done with editing I encoded with adobe encoder with the following details:
H.264
1280x720
29.97 fps
Level 3.2
AAC
Audio 192 kbps
VBR, 1 Pass
Target 4.00, Max 4.00 Mbps
Also selected Use Maximum Render Quality
I rendered the first half of the video and played it in Media player, when I move the file forward or back it takes almost 20 sec. to play again that part of the video. It plays fine with VLC player and Quick Time, but not media player. I tried another video from someone else and it doesn't have this problem with Media player, it plays fine when I move the video forward or back.
Could You please some one tell me what I am doing wrong? is my setting wrong? Unfrtunately I cannot ignore Media player and use another player because this file is for an online display which the browser is Media Player.

OK.
That doesn't necessarily eliminate the media player as the issue, though. I have files that play fine in Windows Media Player or VLC, but will not play correctly in my preferred KM Player. Their's nothing wrong with the files, it's just the player isn't designed to handle them.
So there may well be something different about this file, but not necesarily something wrong with the file. The issue could still be with the player. That the file works in two other players is pretty good evidence of that theory.

Doesn't play music when docked

My iPhone 4 does not play music when docked on any type of docking station or when I plug it into my iTrip in my car. It still charges just fine, but immediately stops playing music when plugged in. When it is plugged into external speakers, it stops playing on its own speakers as well.
I also have an unrelated problem that came up yesterday: my phone's power button is jammed up. I cannot even push it anymore. This is my 3rd iPhone in less than a year that has had this problem. I don't think I push the button very hard at all, not anymore than anyone else. What makes this happen, and can I get it fixed without paying out the *** and without taking it apart myself? I got my phone from Best Buy as I don't have an Apple store within 150 miles of me. I am currently using AssistiveTouch instead, which is just plain annoying. Please help with either problem if you can!

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!
