Itunes background occasionally pink?!

Hi, my itunes seems to be working fine, no problems syncing or downloading etc, but the background of the itunes screen in all menus is pink everytime i log on, and this also affects windows in the itunes store that should have a white background. also the side bar on the left with the menu options is not right - its a darker grey and i cant read the words on it. a couple of times when adding artwork the screen has fixed itself (ie the background around the album artworks has gone to the normal dark grey/black) but i cant seem to fix it manually.
any ideas?

ITunes Background is PINK???

I am running iTunes version 8.01.11 and since I purchased and registered my new iPod 80GB Classic 3 months ago the background of iTunes is either permanently bright pink (magenta) or an extremely dark grey colour!
I have run every diagnostic that I can find and also re-installed iTunes as well and still the problem has not been resolved.
Any help with a fix or patch for this would be greatly appreciated as it is a very very frustrating problem which makes it difficult to use iTunes properly.

Try setting 32 bit colour.
Right click in the desktop, select Properties>>Settings.

Had the same problem. Go to Users/Library/Preferences. Discard every file that begins with com.apple.iTunes...

Itunes background color

No matter what I do, I cannot change the itunes background color from black, and I just hate it. Yes, I've changed the "grid" view to light, and to dark, and nothing changes on my iMac. Can this be changed somehow? I find it unreadable and it causes me headaches. Is there no way to change this?????

Thanks! Seems to have worked out fine. What I don't understand though is why did it suddenly change colors? It was fine until I downloaded and installed the latest update to iTunes. The bit change seems to have fixed, thanks again.

Lets see whether this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?

Hi My Name is Travis Bannerman. I have been using itunes for roughly 3 years. I went and opened itunes today and found that in my music library it is pink and also parts of the itunes store is now pink when it should be either blue or whitte. I was wondering is there something wrong and if so how is it able to be fixed. I havent experienced any music missing or problems with itunes i am just worried that stuff may happen in the future.

Thanks so much. I have been using Itunes with the Pink screen and a black navigator for months. I could not believe an itunes upgrade would require the use to search and search and search to find and a solution to this problem.
Why Apple would require a user to change the display from 16 to 32 is beyond me.
There was NO indication by Apple that there were any problems with XP that needed to be resolved after installing 8.0. But, who in the business world today cares about the customer.

ITunes display is pink?

I'm running v8.0.2 on a Windows XP computer, ever since I downloaded the latest updates, my iTunes is now Pink in color and distorted? Anyone know how to fix this?

ITunes page is pink..words Library, Store, and Playlists all blurry

recently all my music on itunes was deleted but i was able to load all of my music back onto the itunes itself, being that it was still saved on my hard drive, but the itunes page is pink...then i maximize and it turns white (normal), but then i restore down the window and it goes pink again...and the category words...Library..Store..and Playlists are all blurry...this makes me think something is wrong with the itunes. i have tried deleting the itunes program and reinstalling many times and it wont fix the problem...this all happened after i did that "genius" crap..on the latest version. i even tried installing a previous version of itunes and i got an error message saying "file *blank blank* was created with a newer version of itunes"...or something like that, and it wouldnt even let me access itunes.
so i had to reload the laterst version again with the "genius" thing...and now i have a pink screen with blurry words..
any suggestions?

For pink iTunes - try setting 32 bit colour quality.
Right click in the Desktop, select Properties>>Settings.

ITune's occasionally won't open - COM error

Hi folks:
I have been happily (more or less) using iTunes for the last few years. I recently upgraded my computer to a Dell XPS running Vista Home Premium.
I have had very few issues with iTunes on my new system, with the exception of one problem: iTunes will occasionally not start up. If I click on the iTunes icon, nothing happens. If I bring up task manager I see that iTunes.exe is running (in addition to the iTunesHelp.exe process - which always runs). The weired thing is that the iTunes.exe process is using no CPU and only takes 16MB of memory (iTunes normally chews up around 70MB on my computer).
This problem is solved if I log out (and log out my wife) out of our individual logins and then log back into my account. (a fresh start seems to fix the problem). In addition, I have noticed that I need to log out of all active/logged-in accounts. If I do not do this, then iTunes will still not start up.
Out of curiosity, I checked the Windows Event Logs, and noticed that every time I had this problem, the following Error Message was posted to the Application Event Log:
The COM+ Event System could not remove the EventSystem.EventSubscription object {53AE4616-066E-4794-96D0-C3AF0B3D657C}-{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}-{ 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}. The HRESULT was 80070005.
Has anyone out there seen this before? I tried googling around, but did not have any luck.

my itunes background is transparent, when it comes up I can see whats behind, like the desktop or a website. I can barely read the songs/artists names, but the white background is gone!!! please help!!!

Itunes menu is pink

so i am not sure why but when i open my itunes the list of songs is pink... has anyone come accross this? how do i fix it?.. when i click on a song it highlights it in black, i also click on all the catagories on the left and when i do the background in all catagories is like a is the same pink magentaish color... hmmm?

I love all of you. The previous v. of iTunes quit letting me upload cds to my library and I was told it was a bug so to download iTunes 8. When I did my computer locked up while loading the genius bar, and this happened. My friend is a Genius at an Apple store but he & his co-workers kept saying just to uninstall and reinstall it. I was so afraid to lose all of my family's libraries that I was on the verge of crying/smashing my computer. I tried this, it works. And now that it is 1 in the morning I can study for my 3 exams tomorrow.

ITunes background color change

Just after I installed the latest update for iTunes, the next time I opened it, the background color is this funky lavender/pinkish color. If I shrink the window the visible portion of the window returns white until I scroll the page. Then when the non visible portion appears, its that same weird color. Also, the major headings on the left side of the playerhave changed appearance as well, almost as if they are superscripted font. Anybody else have this problem and a possible solution?

ITunes background disappeared!

I'm not sure what happened here, but the background for iTunes has disappeared. I can still see the songs and menu, more or less, but I'm seeing my desktop (or whatever window I have open) in the background. This is a pain, because I can't drag and drop anything to or manage my iPod. Not to mention, it looks terrible. When it's running in minimized mode it's literally invisible.
Does anyone have an idea of what I can do? I've uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing works.

the first thing i check on with a "transparent" iTunes like this on a Windows 2000 box is an out of date version of DirectX. (when folks get this on XP, it typically tends to be a broken DirectX, which is somewhat more difficult to deal with.)
so check to see if your DirectX is up to date. here's the relevant Microsoft download page:

TS3274 My Ipad display screen is coming up with blue background and pink/purple lines all across the screen. It's also blurry and difficult to see icons on home screen and when apps are opened up. Has anyone had a similar problem?

The display screen on my Ipad is coming up all blurred with blue background mixed with pink and purple lines. It's difficult to see icons but apps are still accessible. Colors are off and images are very unclear on apps and home screen.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
But it could also be a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
