Itunes Backup every 2 or 3 sync's!

Have the 2G model Iphone. I have installed 2.0 software and it backs up my software every 2 or 3 times I sync it. Help or advise would be appreciated.

I'm having the same experience (backup every 2-3 syncs) but my backups are taking a really long time (about 5 minutes). I recall my phone backing up pre-2.0, but I seem to remember the backups only taking a couple of seconds. I was barley even aware of them.
Do either of you notice backups taking longer on your phones?

ITunes crashes every time I sync my iPad. HELP!

Every time I attempt to sync my iPad, iTunes crashes.
I have deleted iTunes and re-installed.
I have restored my iPad.
I have repaired permissions.
I am using the most current versions of all software.
Anyone have a solution?

Weird addition:
Clicking the X to stop the backup process will allow the sync to move forward without a crash. At the end of it a message pops up saying that the sync failed because the iPad disconnected. Well, it doesn't disconnect, and the sync seems to happen. I think.
This problem totally ***** and Apple should be helping me.

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

it started this a yesterday. after I copied the LIB and XML files from one of my pcs to this 1. I wanted my libraries to be exactly the same when I dumped the other one. and now it crashes

I moved my music from the c drive to the d drive. All of my music is in itunes but my ipod won't sync with itunes. The syncing process is taking much longer than usual too. I left my ipod over night to sync and it didnt finish. Fails to sync every time.

My itunes wont auto sync my iphone 4 after i connect it to itunes. But it can auto sync when i connect it to my old laptop. what's the problem that it can't auto sync and when i did a backup in my new laptop, it was corrupted the next day.

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

I'm a recent iPhone 4 user and I just upgraded through AT&T to the 16gb iPhone 5s. The employee at the AT&T store who hooked my family up with phones, told me I could start out with a new phone or back it up to my iPhone 4. So I get home and it takes awhile to back up both phones, so after half an hour, I noticed that my Nirvana albums "In Utero" and "Nirvana" were not syncing. In Utero has twelve tracks, and it would not sync the twelfth track "All Apologies", it would ultimately stop at that track. It would also not sync AT ALL the late Nirvana album. Now, I've tried backing them both up again and I tried updating both phones. But it was only Nirvana not being synced. Now my whole library is corrupt. Same problem here too... it's driving me nuts. I share an imac with my boyfriend and we both have iphones and never had a problem syncing or backing up. Then, suddenly, we get the message stated above... but only when backing up HIS phone, a 3GS (mine is a 3G). We have tried everything:
Deleting the backups and trying to create new
Changing permissions on all of the backup folders once, twice, 3 times over...
Changing the name of the backup folder so that iTunes creates a new backup folder
Creating a new user account for him in the mac os with his own iTunes backup folder and his own permissions.
NONE of these things worked. The closest we got was in the last attempt of creating a new user account, where it actually CREATED the backup (there is a backup file in the proper folder that is about 4gb in size) but we still get the error message at the end, and the backup is not found in iTunes under device preferences.
This is extremely frustrating to say the least and I hope somewhere out there has a solution.

Thanks for the question. Based on the information you have provided, it sounds like your device is not detected in iTunes for Windows. The following resource may help resolve this issue:

Itunes can't read songs to sync. Every few songs Itunes stops the sync because it can't read the song.

When I sync my ipad or iphone, Itunes will start syncing but after every few songs it syncs, itunes interupts the sync with a message saying it can't read the song. I can go to that song in my list of music and play it in itunes but itunes can't read it to sync. This has just started happening in the last week, 06/28/13.
Does anyone know what is going on. The message is as follows: iTunes could not copy "such and such song" to the iphone because the file could not be read.

I didn't understand what you mean. Most of the songs itunes flags are songs I have had on my list for a long time. I did notice something else. After it sends me the message and stops syncing. I press the apply button and it seams to save the song. Then I have to start resyncing and I noticed it syncs the song that it just previously couldn't read. The problem is I have to do this 50 times to get through a sync. Also, Itunes never stops on the same songs that it did the prior sync.

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

HELP! Are un-synced photos included in iTunes backup?

I mostly chose not to sync my photos on my iPhone 4 with my iTunes on my Mac, always presuming that they were being backed up anyway. I had to do a full restore the other day and when the restore was done, all my music, apps etc are back in place but no photos. I had over 1100 pics and lots of video footage in my iPhone 4 and am now freaking out that these are gone.
So the question is, as my photos were not synced with iTunes, does that mean they were not backed up? I never saw a message about that. If they were backed up (please), where are the backups stored on my MacBook Pro?
Please help!

Thanks for the reply but I've tried a few different restore options and pics are nowhere to be seen.
I've just done a restore from backup again time chosing the older backup which, if the camera roll is included, should have restrored my photos - it didn't.
Then I restored from backup again using the most recent backup and same result - no photos. Even the three pics that I took today were wiped.
So I think I'm goosed - it doesn't appear as if photos are included in the iTunes backup unless you sync your photos first.
Nooooooooooooooooo................!
