Itunes Black Upon Loading

Ever since I downloaded the new iTunes 8 update, my iTunes is completely black. I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 5 times already, I personally removed every extension file from apple on my system and reinstalled every little bit of information and yet iTunes always loads up in this black and annoying state. When I scroll or expand the iTunes, it acts like carbon paper and imprints white text all over the place so that eventually things will no longer be readable from all the overlapping. If anyone has a solution for this, it would be greatly appreciated because my iTunes is now useless and I cannot add/change any music now.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance...

Start -> Control Paneel - Add/Remove programs.
Select QuickTime then Repair.

  • ITunes crashes upon loading

I recently changed to a new computer with Windows 8.1.  I used Laplink's PCMover and everything transferred over.
When I click on the iTunes icon, it loads, and I get that little blue circle that I guess means something is going on.  It goes away, iTunes looks normal, then that blue circle comes back and iTunes closes before I can do anything.
What should I do?  Just install iTunes again?  Will it recogni

If only it were so simple.
Yes, uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling will often work, but it isn't guaranteed.
Try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.
Otherwise for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • ITunes hangs upon loading

Used iTunes for Windows with no problems up until installing latest version. After updating & acknowledging terms and conditions library loads but program then hangs - in Task Manager it's marked as not responding. Windows 7 x64 is fully up to date.

tried running Quicktime separately, and that crashed too, pretty much as soon as I clicked the icon, and gave no error message
We'd better check to see if some other application (other than QuickTime) has stashed old versions of QuickTime componentry down in your system files. (Error-mesage-free launch failures can sometimes be a symptom of that.)
So we'll go looking for the older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
    Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
    Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

  • Error upon loading a video from the iTunes in the cloud

I bought a movie called Epic and when I tried to play on my Apple TV via streaming from the iTunes in the cloud it was playing until yesterday it start displaying an Error message "Error upon loading this video content". How long does it take for that to be corrected?

OK well, I think all that stuff about licensing is not true, unless explicitly stated
Just working off a gut feeling (or perhaps just wishing it weren't true)?  I suggest actually checking:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=us+rip+dvd+legal
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act
Typically any mention of ripping DVDs may get a topic removed from the ASC forums since it is discussion of an "illegal activity" and subject to Terms of Use.
The key thing here is if you upload a file to your library, then try to replace that same file with the same file name, iTunes will ignore it and NOT overwrite the file that's already there. You have to delete the file off first and THEN add to library again.
Correct, iTunes works on a file basis not a track label basis.  That's why I said delete the old file.  You could have 20 identical files with the same name (in different folders) and iTunes will add them all right next to each other.  Nothing new in iTunes behavior there.  In fact if you had gone to the location where the media file was stored and copied a new one over the old one with the same name I believe iTunes would still know it wasn't the original.  You can, however, edit a file using a third party tool and save it in place and iTunes will accept the changes without having to re-add the file.

  • Nano is not recognized by Itunes or Ipod loader

i have a 2gb black nano and it is not recognized by my home pc or work pc (running windows xp) by either itunes or ipod loader.
after browsing through some topics, i found a way to enable disk mode, this allowed my nano to be recognized by ipod loader. i proceeded to do a factory restore to this running the november version of ipod loader and it displays "do not disconnect" forever. so i restart it manually by select + menu, then find out that it is still not recognized by itunes or ipod loader. realizing that disk mode allowed ipod loader to work, i tried disk mode on itunes and it recognizes it! so basically, my question boils down to...
Should itunes and ipod loader automatically recognize the nano once its plugged in while it is in normal mode? or do i need to keep enabling disk mode to update through itunes and loader? how many people have this same behavior running xp? Thx!

Wow I'm surprised this is such a common problem... So for those who can't connect with itunes and iloader: does disk mode work for you? Hit the center button and play button simultaneously after you reset it (right when the apple logo first appears) to enable disk mode... For me, this works all the time when connecting, but I don't think this is normal since i used to be able to connect in normal mode... maybe someday apple will realize we don't all have Macs...

  • No audio output from my MacBook, but still chime sounds upon loading !

The chime upon loading when turning on the Mac works and when I open up one of my projects in Logic Pro X the sound works in relation to playing the music I've worked on with my project but still if I toggle the volume there's still no sound along with iTunes, Youtube... I restored the phone so had no apps on it at all and there was still this certain amount of space used up by documents ! I've already had it in to the apple store and they didn't seem to have a clue either ! Ugh ! Wouldn't mind so much if the phone was free with a contract but I actually spent 450 quid buying this phone and it's always full of "nothing" so virtually unusable

  • ITunes won't load when I click, not running in "task manager"

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545. I run on Windows 7. iTunes was operating normally for me until recently... just a few days ago, I discovered that iTunes wouldn't load when I clicked on the icon on my desktop. I've tried clicking on it from the start menu and trying to open a music file via iTunes as well. The most that will happen is that the "checking iTunes library" box will pop up, load for a little while, and disappear. My cursor will also make it appear that the computer is loading it for a few seconds, and then give up. When checking to see if the program was even running, my task manager doesn't list iTunes. I tried uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling iTunes to the current version (I may have been operating a version behind before), but 10.1 is behaving the same way. I am a music student that relies heavily on listening to iTunes for homework, so any advice ASAP would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

Quicktime is loading properly and plays videos just fine. Hmm... curiouser and curiouser!
That is odd ... with the most common causes of an error message free iTunes launch failure, iTunes.exe persists in task manager. The one I check for when iTunes.exe isn't persisting will usually prevent the QuickTime Player from launching.
Does the problem seem to be systemwide or user-specific, with those terms in the sense used in the following troubleshooting article?

In the case you aren't trolling, here's some alternative mapping services.
Apple is constantly working on improving their new Maps service, but until it reaches the level of finesse necessary to be usable, take a look at some alternatives.
