ITunes "Broken Link/Chain" images everywhere, can't purchase anything!

Question

I want to purchase some albums and the new iPod games, but i can't because there are pictures of chains snapping in half all over the place where images/buttons should be. I can read words and see a few pictures here and there, but none of the buttons are there, so i can't purchase/download anything. I think this all started happening since version 7 came out.
Around the same time i upgraded, my iPod has started reseting at random. It will play any video or song fine, but after like 20 minutes it will just reset without warning. I've tried everything i can think of, reseting it manually, restoring it to factory settings....i don't know what to do.
If anyone can help me out with either problem, please let me know!

hmmm. that sort of symptom can sometimes be produced by a subtly-damaged QuickTime. (if the QuickTime is more-standardly-damaged or missing altogether, iTunes won't start at all.)
so let's try swapping out your QuickTime.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again and heading back to the Store. is it displaying any better for you now?
