Itunes Browse features not updating

Hi, I have itunes 6.0.5.20 installed on a WinXP machine. I've add music to the library, but the browse feature in itunes doesn't show the imported music in the library, even though I can see in the window below. Any ideas how to make it see all artists I have imported? thanks shap

If you're saying that you see the music listed in the main iTunes Library display but not the Browse display, then your problem may relate to the songs' Compilation status. You can confirm whether or not this is the case by selecting Compilations near the top of the Artist column and seeing if that lists the songs in question. (If you don't see Compilations near the top of the Artist column then this is not the cause of your problem.)
If this does seem to be your problem, you have two solutions to choose from:
1) Go to the iTunes Edit menu > Preferences > General tab and uncheck Group compilations when browsing.
2) Highlight the songs, right-click them, select Get Info and, if doing them en masse, change the entry for Part of a compilation from Yes to No or, if doing them one by one, uncheck Part of a compilation.

My itunes feeds are not updating. One stopped updating a couple weeks ago, while another one is approaching a month without an update. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on? Anything i can do to resolve this issue? Any help is appreciated. thank you.

There is a line at the very top of the feed which reads

Its presence renders the feed unreadable; when subscribing it shows up blank, and the iTunes Store is showing a cached version from the last time it could read the feed.

There appear to be no errors in this feed, but it is showing up empty when subscribing. It did take a long time to load in Firefox, so it's possible that it may be timing out in iTunes and the Store.

My feeds are updating but the iTunes store has not updated

I put my rss feed up on feedburner and all my feeds have updated but the iTunes store has not updated. I was wondering if there a simple explanation for it. Subscribers to the podcast have gotten the most recent update but the store hasn't reflected the new changes.

When you add a new episode to your feed and upload it, it appears immediately for subscribers because their iTunes application reads the feed directly and the Store is not involved.
However because of the huge number of podcasts in the Store (thousands) the Store caches the feed and checks it for updates periodically. For this reason it usually takes 1-2 days for new episodes to appear in the Store: sometimes it can be less, and occasionally the whole process seems to get stuck and it can take several days.
All this assumes that you haven't made an error of some sort in adding your episode: it's not possible to comment on that unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'. Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

Are you using iTunes Match by chance? I had no problems whatsoever with play counts synching between any of my devices until I started using iTunes Match. I turned it off and magically my play counts synced. Once. Hasn't happened again though.

Itunes Plus feature not recognizing all updated albums

While browsing the store, many of my purchased albums have been made available for itunes plus. Yet, when i click the itunes plus button and itunes summarizes all the updated albums I've previously purchased, those particular albums I bought are not included in the summary. So my questions are:
How may I download these albums at $.30?
OR
How do I get itunes to recognize ALL THE CORRECT upgraded albums for my upgrade list?

Already tried it. I decided to post the question here as a backup. Yea when I filled out the form it said "choose a category" and wouldn't you know there were no categories to go with this subject. I did pick the most relevant but of course there were no sub-categories to go with either. Also, it asked for only one specific order # and this problem of mine is spread out through numerous orders. This is so frustrating and complicated. I REALLY wished the store had a customer service number I could just call and someone would just fix it, no problem. But that's just wishful thinking. Anyway, thank you both for the help.

Itunes Store Has not updated my podcast for 5 months

I have been maintaining 4 separate podcasts for about a year and I have one feed that will not update in the itunes store but if you subscribe to the feed then all of the episodes are there. I do not use any program to create the XML files, I just edit them with the required info. Any help with this would be great.

Your feed is littered with  ; these are intended to enclose comments and prevent them being shown except when viewing the feed directly for programming purposes. They are excluding large chunks of your feed from being read. How did they get there? You should look closely at the feed (which as it stands only seems to contain three viable episodes:
Numbers: Zhongwen Vol 1 Lesson 1
Dixie 400: A Flea Market in North Georgia
Jobs
and remove any of these tags you don't need. I can't check on iTunes until tomorrow morning but I would expect it not to show the other two episodes either.
Also FeedValidator comments 'Feeds should not be served with the "text/plain" media type' - I don't know whether this could be an issue: please see this note at FeedValidator:

ITunes and iCloud not Updating

As of Yesterday afternoon my iCloud will not update my information. I called the apple help line were they took me though many steps that I had already done and finally said that the server must be down and to try to sign in to iCloud later. This is funn because he had mentioned earlier that the servers were fine. I also noticed that I can not update any of my apps on iTunes from my Macbook or iOS devices.
I am not sure were to go from here. The call didn't help and I know that my network is working fine. I haven't done anything differently then usual on my mac.
I always update everything and keep everything clean. I am running the latest updates for OSX and iOS.
Can someone help?

ITunes 12 are not updating apps and transfering purchases

I really don't know why it is happening. I lost my old iTunes library on a Hard Drive crash. So, I created a new one. I connected my iPad, iPod and iPhone, transfered purchased on the first time, backup, sync... all things that we have to do. Then, I saw something strange. On iTunes 12.1.2.27, mine iTunes, I download new updates but they don't update the apps on my device. And if I download the updates on the devices, the iTunes is not transfering new updates and new apps too. Really don't know why that. Every update I have to do manually. Why that guys? Yosemite here too.

Don't worry about it I've decided to move on and get and android phone instead. Your stuff may be very easy to use and this would be ok if it just worked but when it doesn't I want to be able to take control of my hardware and software to make the changes that I need to to get it to work the way I want.

Feedburner w/itunes feed details not updating

Ive been having an issue for MONTHS where my feedburner manipulated feed refuses to update with the new summary of my podcast feed from what it was originally set to in itunes. The only thing I can think of is that this is because of some weird itunes caching.

So Feedburner is not updating the info from the feed. As I understand it, what is in Feedburner in the 'itunes:subtitle' 'itunes:summary' and 'itunes:image' tags is what was there originally? - and subsequently you changed the subtitle and summary to the entries with the first sentence in capitals, and presumably must have changed the image?
Did you do this before or after adding the latgst episode? - the question being whether Feedburner is updating from the feed, just not those particular tags, or whether it's not updating at all.
I can't see why it shouldn't update - the only thing odd about the feed is the absence ot the xml declaration in the first line:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
which Feedburner adds - presumably this has always been missing anyway? - and the feed validates in FeedValidator and can be subscribed to in iTunes so this shouldn't be a problem.
If you made the changes after adding the latest episode (not at the same time) then I suppose it's possible that FeedBurner might not see the changes until the next time you add an episode - iTunes is liable to do that but I dono't know about FeedBurner.
You could also look round Feedburner and see whether there is somewhere you can over-ride the contents of these tags; I don't know whether this is possible.

Recovering iTunes Song List (iTunes Library.xml not updated)

How do I recover the iTunes library song list? My computer recently crashed, so I had to get this new one. The old hard drive is working fine. I just need the song list to be able to identify the songs that I have yet to copy unto my iPod (I arrange the library by 'Date Added'). Since my music files are located in a variety of places, it would be very difficult for me to locate each without being guided by the list.
For some weird reason, the iTunes Library.xml is not updated. It's still dated 2009, so that fix goes out the window, I guess.

ITunes: podcasts are not updating automatically

Hi,
My podcasts are not updating automatically in iTunes as they as they should.
My Mac and iTunes are running 24/7, so iTunes it always running. The update interval of the podcast is set to hourly, latest iTunes, latest Mac OS X.
The podcast actually does update if I re-start iTunes or, if I manually update the podcasts (there is always the latest 1 or 2 daily episodes of say NBC nightly news available, but not yet downloaded)... (but this is not a great solution as I am using iTunes through Plex, the Mac is mor a TV/Mediacenter for my family; Plex can access playlists and podcasts in iTunes, but obviously it cannot trigger iTunes to update, so I have to go out of Plex to update iTunes, very annoying)
How can I ge my my podcasts to be downloaded automatically by iTunes.

ITunes apps do not update

Hi. Since around last month, a lot of my apps in iTunes would not update. I would click update, they would show in downloads and they appeared to download. The previous .ipa file appeared in my recycling bin. However, the version number stayed the same, the .ipa file in the Mobile Applications folder stayed the same, and the little number beside the "Apps" tab was still there, and told me to update.
This has been happening with my applications that I downloaded recently, and does not stop. I am currently stuck at version 1.6 of tweetbot right now
I think this is an issue with the iTunes store downloading the wrong version of my app.
Any ideas fixes, having the same problem etc.?

I did do that. Unfortunately the app did not update, it simply displayed the "TweetBot" icon which would not launch my application. I was forced to delete an redownload the application fronm my device, wiping all my data in the process. My concern is that with apps that have more important data will no longer work, and I am looking for a solution.

Apps and iTunes content will not update

7 GB of available space
Itunes set to Automatically download apps, Books, & updates, but not no cellular data
public WiFi and Private WiFi networks.
I have 14 Apps waiting to update and my iPad (3rd Gen) with the Latest iOS 8 (8.0.2) will not down load them. It stopped downloading any updates on the 10th, including trying to download a previously purchased TV Show and previously purchased song. However 1 app downloaded at some point on the 13th and 2 on the 14th, but none today. I can browse the internet, send receive mail, make FaceTime calls so connectivity is not an issue.
If I tap UPDATE ALL, all 15 get the chasing circle icon followed buy the icon of a thin circle with a Stop square in the button...none of them ever show progress.
Trouble Shooting so far each time trying to update all and to download a sound.:
Fully charged, even tried while on the charger.
Power cycled iPad
Killed off all running apps.
Reset (sleepwake & Home key for 10 seconds)
Signed out and back into iTunes account
Signed out of iTunes, reset device, signed back into iTunes.
Any thoughts?

Why is iTunes play count not updating for SOME songs played on iPod Touch?

I have noticed that when I play some songs on my iPod the play count won't update. This only happens with some I bought recently. I was actually testing witha song I purchased 3 weeks ago and the play count will only update if I play it on the computer. However, when I played the song on my iPod Touch 4g running iOS 5, nothing happened. How can I fix this as I use the recently played playlist quite often. also, Im pretty sure most of the songs were downloaded from iTunes app in my iPod.

I've had this problem before with my 1G and still have it with my 2G. I can replicate it EVERY TIME.
If I listen to nothing but music on my iPod touch, and then go back home and sync, I have no problems with the playcount and smart playlists.
However, if I listen to a bunch of music, then play a few games, or browse Safari for a while, any record of my recently listened to music is wiped out. The Music application even loses my place in what song I was listening to and even which artist/album I was last listening to -- kicking me back to main music screen when I click the Music icon on the Home screen.
My hypothesis -- Apple is not using a dedicated/untouchable portion of memory to store playcounts. It is shared with all other memory access. So if an application or Safari uses a lot of memory during your session AFTER you've played your music, your playcounts gets wiped out in the process.
But that's just my take on the situation.
