ITunes Burning Error 4200 - Windows XP
I recently purchased an HPa1130n running iTunes 4.9. It was working fine up until a week ago when I started getting errors that say "cancelling burn... unknown error 4200". I have read a few posts in this forum and would like for someone to help me get my system back up and burning. I've done the obvious (slowing the speed, trying different disks, etc). I've also checked my DMA settings to ensure that they are correct. From what I have read so far, I think iTunes is having trouble communicating with my CD Burner.
Help me obi-wan-kenobi.. you're my only hope...

If you have multiple drives on the same IDE or SCSI bus, these drives may interfere with each other.
Some Dell computers need an update to the ATA bus driver before iTunes recognizes CDs. If you have a Dell computer, check the Dell support website for details.

(2) New software added
I recently installed NERO then updated to 6.6 trial. I suspect that this has something to do with it as the last time i burned a CD sucessfully was a day before I installed/updated NERO.
(3) I tried to alternatively burn in windows media player and was also unsucessful.
(4) I see a ton of 7 or 8 events ranging from 100, 101, 102, 103 that are related to database engines but nothing related to iTunes. I see two ACEEventLogs from today:

(5) It just got worse. I attempted to burn another disk and now I don't even get the error. When prompted to insert a blank disk and after clicking the burn icon, the top grey screen just blinks "checking media" a bunch of times then it times out. I don't even get to the "preparing to write" stage.

So i think i closed the wrong service at some point a few weeks back (apple mobile device) but iTunes remained working after that for another week. I then updated iTunes and i get the same "Service ‘Apple Mobile Device’ (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." every time. If i click ignore, just so i can access iTunes with out syncing my iPod (touch 2nd gen) i then get 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)" when it has all installed. I don't understand what the problem is anymore as I have looked at other questions on the apple website, carried out the advice and it hasn't work. Any of them.
Tings I have done:
- Wiped all iTunes and Apple data from my computer (if you search for 'iTunes' or 'Apple' nothing comes up apart from applets from system code.
- Attached iPod before iTunes install and updated drivers.
- Installed iTunes as 'Run as administrator'
- Uninstalled and re-installed the software nearly 20 times now and rebooted the computer in between everytime.
Please someone help because i really need to get music on my ipod and i enjoy the ease of use of iTunes compared to spotify or Windows Media Player.For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

Regarding AMDS failures there is a hint in another thread that disabling the Windows Firewall before attempting to reinstall may help, otherwise take a look at the steps outlined in this post. Re: Can't install iTunes 12.1 on Windows 7 64-bit. I know they look a little daunting, but the process of generating the logs themselves isn't that hard to do. Extracting useful information from them is still a challenge but maybe something will leap out. If you want to post the log for the failed components for me to have a look at here or in the other thread please edit out any personal information, particularly your email address, first.

I have been trying to update iTunes for the past month. I admit that I had not been keeping up with the updates for about a year but now that I want to update it, I am getting an error.

got notification that new Itunes version is available, once i installed it I'm no longer able to open Itunes, I get the error message, Not installed properly. Reinstall itunes. Error 7(Windows error127), I tried repairing itunes, Apple Aplication support, apple mobile device support, bonjour and I even uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes and still problem exist, any solution?
I have windows 8I got this message today too. I understand that my music is stored on my computer, however I want to be certain that if I re-install iTunes, it won't erase my library....playlists, playcounts, checked songs, etc.

I tried to download the latest upgrade and I got a message telling me "The application or DLL ProgramFiles/CommonFiles/Apple/Applie Application Support\ApplePushService.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette." and then below that another message "iTunes was no installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193). Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I just tried to install the iTunes update 11.4.1 and keep getting error messages. I have never had this issue before over many years of using iTunes and getting updates to the software. I have removed the iTunes from my computer and reinstalled it but keep getting the errors. I tried to update iTunes to version 10.5.2 and now I can't open it. After it said it was successfully downloaded, it tried to open iTunes and it said iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127). I unsitalled iTunes and tried again, and nothing works. Help.

Where you using the following document as a guide for that? (The 7 can be produced by damage to the related software components, so the Verify iTunes and related components are uninstalled step is quite important.)

I have unistalled and reinstalled several times, to no avail..very frustrating! any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Take a look at iTunes for Windows: "Error 7" message when opening iTunes. Perhaps your .NET Framework needs a repair.
