  • Trying to install on MacBookPro with Parallels and Windows 8.1. Downloaded the CreativeCloud.exe but says I can't install from network drive

I sometimes like to use Photoshop CC and Lightroom on the Windows side of my MacBookPro with Parallels. I had to reinstall Parallels and also Windows 8.1 recently and am trying to reinstall some of the software that I had previously on the Windows side. I downloaded the CreativeCloud.exe program and when I try to install it from the Windows side, get a message that I can't install Creative Cloud from a network drive. Where can I put the CreativeCloud.exe so I can install it?
    Thanks!

You probably need to check your drive setup for the Parallels environment. Nothing to do with Adobe.

  • Windows can't create a network map/appearance of B...

    Hi
I have had BT infinity for somewhat over a month now without any problems, until yesterday. That I am aware of two things have changed but in what order they changed I do not know.
'Firstly' I connected a brand new but several years old i.e. unused, LG 1T network drive and tried to get through the software installation process without success (can't create acceptable login details ). However I could see etc. the drive if I typed its network address into a browser's address window. BUT at that point the Windows network map started breaking. That was yesterday and I have, for the moment, removed the drive and deleted its info from the Homehub 5b.
Today I noticed that two new wireless networks have appeared, BTWifi-X and BTWifi-with-Fon. These appear and disappear as and when my homehub is switched on and off and, given what I have read, I assume these are the hotspot networks I am providing.
If I have my laptop connected to the homehub via LAN, Windows can create a network map providing no other computer is connected via WAN. Conversely when any computer is simultaneously connected to the homehub via WAN Windows loses the ability to create a network map, this includes the situation where one computer is connected via WAN and LAN. I often use my employer's WAN when at work and frequently forget to switch the WAN off, meaning that when I come home the laptop is initially often connected via WAN and LAN. That I am aware of, Windows has not previously had a problem creating a network map when this has happened.
There does not seem to be a problem if my phone (android) is connected to the homehub via WAN or if I have two computers connected to the homehub via only WAN nor if two computers are connected to the home hub via only LAN
One other thing I have also noticed is that the network map, when created, seems to contain, at times, a switch, a hub, Homehub5 and BThub5**** as if there a multitude of connectors.
I would like to get back the ability for windows to create network maps whatever connections are made.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

You seem to be using WAN to mean a Wireless connection when it means something else. Is this correct.
Your HH 5 B should provide a better network map than windows. Do you know how to log into your Home Hub Manager to get this and other information ?
Have you set up your HH 5 B as recommended in this forum ?

  • How can I install wirless network in my little town?

    Hi,
I'm living in a little town and I want to establish a wireless network in it, to serve computers owners there.
I need to know how can I get started?
I suppose that network will offer to its clients the following:
    1) Sharing in resources, such as, files, printers, etc
    2) Sharing in the internet connectivity.
For sharing in the internet connectivity, I want to be able to determine the minimum bandwidth allowed for each client. The value Zero kb must be applied for some clients too, i.e some clients will not have any privilages to gain accsess to the internet, but still having access to the local resources.
    3)What's the maximum range?
Is this possible to be done by any of Linksys products?
    Best Regards,
    Said Bakr.

Depends on how "little" the town is.... if I'm the town square (i.e. middle of the town) what's the distance in feet to the area boundary where you want to give wireless to...
North edge, south edge, eastern and western edge....

  • I can't install on uninstall iTunes on my laptop; running Windows XP.  I've tried all the steps in Apple Support as well as Windows support.  Can anyone help?  I fet the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable

I can't install or uninstall iTunes on my laptop.  I've followed all the steps on Apple Support as well as Microsoft support.  I get the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.  Pick an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi".  This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I'm very frustrated.  From what I can see, I'm not the only one with this problem, but I have yet to see anyone post a solution that works.  Microsoft wants to charge me $99 to troubleshoot it for me and Apple will charge $20.  I think both are ridiculous as this is obviously not "operator error".

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Can I install itunes on a network drive?

Can I install itunes on a network drive? How?

Your virtual drive still needs a physical drive to live on. You can move your iTunes library to any drive big enough to hold it, e.g. an additional internal drive, an external drive, a network share, it's up to you. What you can't do is put a quart into a pint pot.

  • Can't install iTunes 10 due to Bonjour

I need help finding and deleting Bonjour from my desktop. I uninstalled iTunes 9. When I try to reinstall iTunes 10 I get an error message that says "The older version of Bonjour cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group". I have searched for Bonjour throughout my computer and deleted it every place I could including the REGEDIT. When I try to remove Bonjour from the list of programs through the Control Panel I get an error message that says "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available". I can no longer use my iPod Touch because I can't install iTunes on my computer. This makes me very sad.

When I try to remove Bonjour from the list of programs through the Control Panel I get an error message that says "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available".
These sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any BonJour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly this time?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • My iPod Classic is seen by Windows but not by iTunes.  I have reset it, gone to disk mode and it won't show up in iTunes.  There appears to be music on it in a file called MUSICSAVE.  How can I get this to work with iTunes again?

My iPod Classic is seen by Windows but not by iTunes.  I have reset it, gone to disk mode and it won't show up in iTunes.  There appears to be music on it in a file called MUSICSAVE.  How can I get this to work with iTunes again?

    1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
    2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
    3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
    5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
    6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
    7. Check for third-party software conflicts.
