ITunes - Can't right click in Column View

iTunes 11 and confirmed on two computers
Can some check me on this? I'm nearly 100% certain that I used to be able to right-click on Albums or Artists inside a Columns view (while in Songs mode). I can no longer do this, but can right click on Genres or other parent categories in the other modes (Genres, Albums, etc.)
I fell like this is a bug and not an intentional feature removal.

Can't right-click in column view anymore within finder

I've been using macs for ages and this is something I have always done, for some reason recently I have not been able to right-click on files or folders in finder when in column view. If I switch to list to icon view, even cover flow, it works fine. I can also right-click items on desktop and several other places. This is frustrating for me because column view is my preferred method of navigating in finder and it's constantly interupting my workflow recently, not sure if its a bug or a setting but I've been driving myself crazy trying to find a solution.
Any idea what this could be?

Can't right-click in eyeglass view with IE 7

When using the eyeglass icon to view topics in my project, I
used to right-click the mouse and select Back to navigate between
various links. Since IE 7 was installed on my computer, when I am
in that view and right-click the mouse, nothing happens. Any

I couldn't say why RoboHelp is behaving this way for you, I
have IE 7 (using RH X5) and can still right-click and choose Back.
You should also be able to just hit the Backspace key to navigate
backwards as well.

I have seen this error before on these forums (once-http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3307808&#3307808), although the original poster never replied, so I think a new thread is probably justified. Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried creating a new account in System Pref./Accounts, and that doesn't work when I tried on iTunes on that account. Also...since I'm still on the subject of iTunes, I have tried installing VolumeLogic Beta for iTunes 7, and it worked on my old account (this is my second "new" account, I deleted the old one to get Safari tabs to look right--ik, dumb, but it was the only thing that worked), but vL will not work on my new account no matter what I've tried. Any ideas?

Edit...I also should mention that if I right click on song, and click Get Info, and go to the artwork tab, I CAN copy and paste album artwork...it just ***** that way...

Go to the start menu and search "System Restore" and restore to a point where you didnt have this issue. It will not delete any documents, music, pictures, etc.

You are describing an iTunes problem, not an iPod touch problem. Try posing in the iTunes forum.

Very many thanks to you, Putaro! Your answer provided the solution. It was a buggy plug-in that turned out to be the culprit.
You're off the hook, Apple, and my apologies for stating that you let a dog run loose. You skated by this time, Apple. But I'm watching you.
But again, Putaro's reference to the plugins I had installed over the years turned out to illuminate the problem. I have several plugins in my iTunes plugins folder, pretty much all designed to add more visualizer functionality. I removed all of them, and ALL of the problems I noted in my post went away, with full iTunes functionality restored.
I began adding the plugins back to hopefully single out the culprit. Among the ones I had been using included fielder, G-Force, Timestrech, volcanokit, QuartzComposer, and Jax. I hadn't used any of them in a while - probably at least a verison or more back in iTunes updates, but iTunes continued to work with all of them installed. Currently, only QuartzComposer continues to work in iTunes 10.4. The rest no longer even show up as visualizer opitons, with one exception. Jax does show up, but does not work. AND THE PRESENCE OF JAX IS WHAT KILLED MY ITUNES.
I looked into it and went back to the developer, and it appears that they discontinued developing Jax some time ago - evidently, it was buggy and crash prone. I remember after buying it, having problems with it - having never worked to its touted potential, but I didn't pursue it, and never uninstalled it. Leaving it in there caused all iTunes functionality to cease with the iTunes 10.4 update.
If you've got Jax installed, consider removing it before updating to iTunes 10.4.
My iTunes is now working right as rain, thanks again to Putaro!

Downloaded new version yesterday and can't right click open in new tab bookmarks now...

Since I downloaded ner version yesterday, I can't right click on a bookmark and open in new tab like I could before. What's up with that?

I went to view > column browser > and artists, group compilations and use album artists are all checked.
Then I go to search and pull together an album compilation example "VH1 Top 100" highlight them all, click get info, I have "various artists" under "album artists" under "album" is "VH1 Top 100" and mark them as compilations. Go back to my album listing grid with artwork and they are all still scattered out. I must be leaving something out, but they were fine before I downloaded new itunes ?

Mind you, once I click on the App Store there is nothing I can do but swipe left and right. There's absolutely nothing at the bottom of the screen like a features tab, nothing. FWIW, I just got off the phone with Apple technical support about this. I use Genuis for creating playlists, so I don't want to disable it, but Apple support confirmed that there is no way to avoid syncing Genius data without disabling Genius altogether. I'd read somewhere else that subscribing to iTunes Match might allow you to avoid this, but that is NOT the case, as I've confirmed, and Apple support has confirmed. For me, it routinely syncs thousands genius of items, so I have to allow a lot of time for my manual syncs.

I used the Help function, followed the procedure several times. When I click on the music icon, the icon flashes, but does not bring up a menu as shown in the "help" file.

I'm in Safari and want to right click the page so I can View Source like on a PC. I tried holding down my finger and it just highlights the first word on the page and allows you to copy or define the word. Similarly, if I see an image I want to download or copy I can't right click it.

The last days, I can't right click on my dekstop. Right click works on any other icon/app etc of course. At the same time, files/folders that I have in desktop, and I can see them through finder, are not displayed. However, if I login with the guest account, the problem is not reproduced.
Any ideas?

You can't. If you are on, for example, Safari then pressing and holding an image or text should give you options e.g. save image (to the Photos app). What are wanting to achieve, and in which app ?

Photoshop CC 14.2 can't right click scale boxes to change units

Since the 14.2 update I can't right click the scale boxes when I wan to resize an object to change the units for example from % to px.
Using win 8 64bit here.
Anyone can confirme this bug? Everything was working before the update.

Can't right-click in inbox

I'm trying to use Mail on a new MacBook and there's one odd quirk that's killing me. I can't right-click messages in my inbox (or any other folder, for that matter.) I can control-left-click and get the menu for the item I'm clicking, but right-click does nothing. Is this "normal" behavior? I used Mail once before (it's been awhile, I've never liked Apple's Mail app much) and don't remember having this problem, but that was probably Tiger, or even earlier.

This would seem likely to be a more general issue with the mouse, and not Mail -- right-click works fine for me for this purpose. Does the right-click do the same as Control-click(L) in other situations? What type of mouse is it?
