When your iPod Touch is connected to the computer
go to iTunes>Preferences , in the top-left corner.
Then click on devices and uncheck the box for
"Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods"

I have an iMac that I want to transfer stored itunes to my Optimus LG 5 android phone. When I plug my phone into the computer the computer does not recognize the phone. What can I do to so I can then transfer my tunes?
The screen is all black, so it's not the backlight. It's weird because when I get the computer off of sleep mode, it shows the log in screen really quickly. So my LCD isn't broken either. It just switches back to the wrong resolution I guess. Which makes the screen black again.

ITunes in Windows PC only launches at reboot does not recognize iPod touch
I have had this problem for sometime, but have lived with it. I have my iPod touch 1G connected to a Windows XP PC for syncing charging etc. If I unplug the iPod touch and use it for a while not connected to the PC and then plug in into the USB port, iTunes does not recognize the touch and I have to do a complete reboot of the windows PC. Is there a work around for this problem?

Itunes sync distorts album art and does not recognize purchased tones?
I've avoided syncing my phone b/c every time I do it's jacked up everything. And this time was no exception. After syncing yesterday I now have the wrong album art displaying with the wrong artist as well as after re-purchasing 2 tones I'd already paid for FROM ITUNES not showing up as a selection to assign to a contact! They show up in my Library as well as on the iphone content when plugged in but not as a selection to pick when trying to add to a contact. Also, I have a total of 23 tones showing in my Library with sync all tones checked but only 7 or 8 show up on my phone... I'll be happy if I can just get the 2 I want!! Any suggestions on correcting the art work and syncing the tones I've paid for would be welcome.
If you use automatic syncing, you must set up the iPod's Music tab in iTunes so that the selection of songs includes all the songs you want on the iPod.
Select the iPod in iTunes. There is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary). Click on Music there. That is the Music tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
To use automatic syncing for songs, Sync Music is checkmarked. You can choose to sync Entire music library, if it fits. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.
If you chose the latter, you create a selection of songs on the Music tab by selecting playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres. For example, if you want that new playlist, it must be checkmarked under Playlists. If you want to keep it simple, you can create a new playlist in iTunes and put ALL song you want on the iPod on that playlist (including that new purchased song). Back on the Music tab, checkmark that one playlist.
When you Apply the change, your selection of songs on the Music tab syncs to the iPod. If the iPod was not previously set to use automatic syncing, its existing content is replaced. Going forward, any changes to the iTunes Music library that relate to the selection of songs on the Music tab sync automatically when the iPod is connected, or when you click Sync. So, if you are syncing a playlist as your selection of songs, just update that playlist (add and remove songs), and the iPod gets updated with those changes at the next opportunity. -

The Motorola Milestone has a low amount of system RAM and that causes very poor performance. Because of this we don't support running Firefox mobile on the Milestone.
To set up sync you need to create a sync account on desktop Firefox. Then on the mobile device press the connect to sync and then go to desktop Firefox and enter the Sync code.

If you only changed the name of your ID rather than creating a new ID, just go to Settins>iCloud and tap Delete Account then sign back in with the new name. (Deleting the account from your phone does not delete it from iCloud. Your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.)
If you created a new ID, you'll have to go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your phone.) After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to your new account.
You won't lose any photos in your camera roll or photo library. If you have any photos in your photo stream that are over 30 days old that are not in your camera roll or saved on your computer, be sure to save these to the camera roll before deleting the account. To do so, open the photo stream album on your iPhone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you need to save to select them, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. -
After upgeading to iTunes 10.7 on my PC with W7 x64 and IOS 6 on my iPhone 4s, I cannot backup. It says sesson cannot be started. Also cannot recognize apps on iPhone. Further, with WiFi and powered on, the device apperas briefly in iTunes then disappears. Same for iTouch and iPad with IOS 5. How do I resove this? More importantly, how does Apple resolve it? Hi, i have an ipod touch that has been locked out. Children were playing with it and now have forgotten the password. I have red screen that says to connect to itunes. itunes won't open because the message comes up saying the ipod is locked with a password. Also, this is not the computer that this ipod was last synced with. Can someone help me open this please. Cheers.
Place the iPod in Recovery mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes.

ITunes can't sync - permissions issues
I am receiving permissions issues when trying to sync my iPhone with iTunes. This just started in the last week.
Background: When we purchased the iMac, we imported users from an old system. The user IDs were different. I have had to reset users on several of the system files over time. In this case, I can't determine which files need to be reset to allow my phone to be sync'd.
The following errors are in the console messages. I have also recreated the Address Book and set the user ID on it again to make sure it can sync.

Itunes does not recognize my internet connection
Hey everyone,
Recently I had to reinstall itunes, and since I reinstalled it the programme does not recognize when I'm connected to the internet.
As a result the ishop, CDDB Gracenote etc. simply do not work, as itunes claims that I am not connected to the internet (even though I am!).
I'm sure this is a relatively simple problem to fix...can anyone help me?

MarkI might have found a solution,that works for me with windows XP. First restart the computer and don't start up itunes. Open Norton Internet Security and click on Status and Settings. Then click on personal firewall and then click on Configure, and click on the Programs tab. Scroll through the list of programs until you have goten to Apple itunes. Change the interntet Access to Permit All. Once you have saved these settings start up itunes. That worked for me. Please tell me if this helps anyone.

If I want to sign in to this message board, I can do so. I can also sign in on my iPad to download updates, purchase new apps and songs, etc. And I can sync my iPad to iTunes on my iMac.
But when I open iTunes on my iMac, it asks for my password and I can't sign in. What is causing this problem with iTunes on my iMac repeatedly asking for my password when I open iTunes?
This is very frustrating. I am also worried that I won't be able to sync when my new iPad arrives March 16. Help!The solution (for me at least) is to keep trying the same password in iTunes on my iMac that I know is correct. For me, the fourth try of typing in the exact same password works in iTunes on my iMac. I have repeated this several times, and each time it works.
What is messing people up is that when iTunes does not recognize the correct password, people are attempting other passwords. Those other passwords are all incorrect. The problem, as you stated, is that the password was entered correctly the first time but because of iTunes having issues it does not recognize it.
People, just keep entering the password you know is correct. It will eventually recognize it, or at least this works for me. If this still does not work, reset your password (but then you may still have to enter it repeatedly in iTunes).
Apple needs to fix this.
