ITunes can't sync TV shows...

I have a TV show which I'd like to transfer into my iPod (30gb video). The whole show is on MPEG-4 format which the iPod can read.
I added all the show (about 76 episodes) and when I pressed "sync" only 4 of the episode has been transfered and I got this massage:
"Some items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod"
I retried it like 5 times and even that all of the episode are in the same format, I have enought spance in the iPod and all of then can be added to the iPod just 4 did.
What is the problem and how can I add the show ?
Thank you

There are no such limits. Are you sure your iPod settings are correctly set to sync the shows. I'm guessing its probably set to sync unwatched episodes.

  • My macbook pro's iTunes can't sync with my iPad1

    Hi there,
My MacBook Pro's iTunes can't sync with my iPad1. They are connected by cable and the Macbook and the ipad can find each other by wifi but that's it. The software seems to be upto date on both but im not sure as i can't find the itunes app symbol in the settings area of the ipad but it has itunes. I hope that helps.
    Cheers folks,

It is not of any help but have exactly the same issue. Called one of our local radio Tech Shows (The Tech Guy, with Leo Leporte) and for what it is worth his only answer was that it was a bug. He noted that apparently i-Tunes was not looking at i-Photo for the library location but rather, as you have noted, only looks in the default location.
Be interested if you get this solved or come up with another work around that does not require my library to be in the default directory.
As you noted i-Photo is happy it is just the sync with i-Tunes, it just doesn't work,

when trying to sync my iPhone i get a message saying : iTunes can't sync apps to iPhone because the apps installed on the phone could not be determine. what is going on?

I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps.  I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps.  I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

  • ITunes can not sync apps to the iPhone because it can not be determined which apps are installed on the iPhone.

    Hello.
    I get this error message
iTunes can not sync apps to the iPhone because it can not be determined which apps are installed on the iPhone.
iTunes kann keine Apps mit dem iPhone synchronisieren weil nicht festgestellt werden kann welche Apps auf dem iPhone installiert sind.
    Need Help

Basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore.  Have the first two been tried?
How about simply unplugging the iPhone and plugging it back in to sync?
What has been done in an attempt to troubleshoot the issue?

  • Can't sync TV shows & podcasts onto iPad2

I'm wondering if I have a bug in iTunes or on the iPad?
All I can tell you is that the TV shows and podcasts that I had purchased directly onto the ipad, were transferred (as expected) onto my laptop, but WILL NOT transfer back. I get no error message, no warning, nothing. I select "Manually manage music and videos". I check the boxes for ALL books, podcasts, TV shows, movies (I have experimented with just selecting a handful, but get the same results). The capacity bar shows it'll use up to 34 gigs of the 60 gig iPad. Then I sync, and instantly the capacity bar shows that only 24 gigs are used, and when I look at the iPad none of the podcasts or tv shows are there. None of these shows are HD. All were purchased on iTunes, on the iPad (which is the main reason I bought it!). And for some reason the movies are not having this issue.
In the past week I just upgraded my Macbook Pro to OS 10.6.8, my iTunes to 10.5.3, my iPad to iOS5. I connect the two with USB. I don't use iCloud (since I'm not ready to go to Lion).
I really regret syncing everything onto the computer! But I figured it was the smart step so that eventually we can control how the memory is taken up on the iPad.

There are no such limits. Are you sure your iPod settings are correctly set to sync the shows. I'm guessing its probably set to sync unwatched episodes.

  • TV Series - Can not Sync Individual Shows

I purchased The Universe TV Series from the iTunes Store. When I try to Sync it with my iPhone, I can only check the series button marked "The Universe."
I would like to know how to Sync only the episodes that I like and not something that iTunes picks to sync. How do I Sync specific episodes of this series?
    Kevin

It's probably cause you watched the TV show on your computer so it counts the show as watched and it won't sync it. To fix this, right click the TV show in iTunes and click "mark as new" then sync your iPod and it should work. You could also go to the TV show sync settings on your iPod (when hooked up to the computer) and tell it to sync all TV shows instead of unwatched ones.

  • Can't get TV in iTunes (can't sync)

What a pain. I guess I hadn't noticed since my last 3 months were all "rentals".
I can't get iTunes 9.0.2 to "Show connected Apple TV's" (check box is).
    What I've tried:
Reset the AppleTV (removed all but my most recent "not synched" purchase).
    Re-installed iTunes 9.0.2.
Changed all my wireless settings (no firewall in Security) and reset my DSL modem and wireless Belkin router.
Deleted the iTunes .plist file and rebuilt the Library.
Ran the hardware (Menu plus minus key) on the AppleTV (no errors or issues).
    What works:
Computer and AppleTV can connect to iTunes. Everything plays and works as intended.
I can play audio from iTunes to my AppleTV (speakers show like "airtunes").
Quit and re-launced iTunes dozens of times. Unplugged the AppleTV at least 3 times.
    What it is not:
A .plist file or a bad Library.
A hardware issue on the iMac or the AppleTV.
A network issue or a firewall blocking something.
Anyone got something else for me to try?

I assume you mean the tv doesn't show up in your itunes device list.
    What I've tried:
Reset the AppleTV (removed all but my most recent "not synched" purchase).
I assume you mean removed all content except that which was purchased on the tv and hasn't yet been transferred back to itunes. Can you tell me how you did that since I would expect that the only content you could remove from the tv without doing it through itunes was content purchased on the tv and not yet transferred back to itunes. The only way to remove content which has been put there via a sync from itunes is to deselect it in itunes and resync, but you would need to see the tv in itunes to do that.
    Re-installed iTunes 9.0.2.

At this stage it sounds as though you have tried most things except relinking the library to the tv and restoring it. By the way what software are you running on the tv.

  • Can't sync TV Shows to my iPad (EU and US Account)

I decided to buy some tv shows with my us itunes account, so i created a new user on my mac, because switching countries in the iTunes store stops iTunes Match but thats a different story... So now I moved the TV shows to my itunes library on my normal user account (which is a swiss itunes account), because thats the library that is synced with my iPad. But when i try to sync the shows iTunes asks me if i want to switch libraries...
Why do i get this error? And how can i get the shows on my ipad?

This is a known issue that happens all the time. You will probably just have to keep trying until it goes through.

  • Reinstalled Lion; Now I can't sync purchased shows to iPad

I've been having issues with Lion locking up ever since it was released, so I finally got around to reinstalling it. Now when I try to sync purchased TV shows to my iPad it tells my it can not sync because my computer is not authorized for the content. Oddly I am able to sync *some* content purchased from the iTunes store.
I have tried authorizing my computer as suggested in the error message to no avail. I also tried deauthorizing it and reauthorizing it but that also was of no help. I'm really at a loss here and realy frustrated. Anyone know what's going on or have any other suggestions to try?

I have now also tried deauthorizing all computers associated with my account and reauthorizing my computer, but that did not help. I also tried syncing the show to my iPhone but received the same result.
