ITunes can't upgrade to the newest version

When i try to upgrade iTunes to the newest version, it goes to the status of Removin the old iTune version and then says that the folder containing the installation package iTunes.msi is missing. So...I tried to unistall that via add/remove programs with the same problem appearing at the uninstall.
Here's when I become stupid:
I decided to delete everything in the folder that has to do with itunes. Searched iTunes in the search option for windows and deleted everything that has to do with iTunes. still can't install this new iTunes.
I did something stupid, now I can't have iTunes....someone help please??

With that one, let's try the following procedure.
First, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. If it goes, good. If it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to iTunes.
Next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Use it to clear any existing iTunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC. (Launch Windows Installer CleanUp, find any iTunes and/or QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those entries, and click “remove”.)

Next, use the the following document as a guide for manual removal of leftover iTunes and QuickTime program files:

Now try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.

HT2905 How you you delete duplicates once you upgrade to the newest version of iTunes?

Since I have updated to the newest version of iTunes, I haven't been able to find the option "Display Duplicates".

The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library. Note that, as with the iTunes feature, this list makes no distinction between "originals" and "dupes", you have to decide which is which.
There is also my DeDuper script for automatically removing duplicate copies but keeping one remaining copy of each set. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send the others to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file. Same advice to backup applies.

Can I get rid the newest version of iTunes and use an older version?

I've had nothing but trouble with the newest version of iTunes. I can't listen or watch any music or videos on my laptop, iTues often freezes up, movies are taking 8+ hours to download ?!
Is there a way to get rid of the new version and use the older one? If so, how?
I'm too impatient to trouble shoot EVERY single problem I'm having with this version....

That's NOT (Repeat: NOT) a Flash Player caused phenomenon. YouTube is converting ALL their videos to HTML5 and RealPlayer (which is pure unadulterated garbage IMHO) isn't able to download them now, and won't be able to until they update their software to handle the format change.
Since Adobe DOESN'T run YouTube (Google does) they can't do anything about this. YOU CAN.
If you use Firefox, you can download AntVideoDownloader and use it to download YouTube videos.
1. It's a plugin, and NOT a full applicaiton, so it takes up less space on your HD.
2. It works with Flash Player (unlike RealPlayer which is a competitor program)

Plug in your iPad and hit sync. It should transfer your purchases. Or go under the purchased option in iTunes store and download your purchases. Connecting the iPad is easier.

Yesterday iTunes asked me to download the newest version ( update ) I did,

I did so and now I cannot open iTunes, I then uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but to no avail. I then tried both again, again to no avail. I still cannot use iTunes or download it or anything from Apple. In attempting to remedy this problem I have also updated Java, performed a system restore and tried downloading iTunes from 3 different web browswers. The error message I receive when attempting to download iTunes is as follows : There is a problem with the Windows installer, a program for this install to complete could not run, please contact your support personnel or package vendor.

It could be that you need to reset Firefox to its defaults, however there could also could be something going wrong with the login request. Please check the Firewalls and loading websites to see if anything is blocking a request.
