I've read that there is an add-on that adds Sync, included with FF starting with 4.0, to Firefox 3.6, but can't seem to find it. I need to keep a zoo of different browser versions, including 3.x, but want to sync stuff nonetheless.
So far, I tried variants of "Weave" and "Sync" on addons.m.o, and Google, but to no avail.I use several different computers, different software, and a mobile device, too. I have the bulk of my important data in a FF3.6 profile, and I also need to keep the FF3.6 for web development purposes (every version renders slightly different, but the difference between 3.6 and 11 is very noticable). Also, FF11 has some problems, like forgetting passwords, but accrued an independent set of bookmarks, passwords, add-ons etc., so trashing that is not an option, either (although I am usually on 11 these days). Wading through tons of stuff to merge is not a good option either, and Sync would have helped to unify all of that.
@TonyE: Would Xmarks and LastPass merge with Sync data from newer FF? I'll give that a whirl.
@cor-el: Thank you for the link. It does explain the current situation, but the arguments put forward in that article are that highly aggravating marketing speak that I have come to expect from the Mozilla Corp. guys.
I still don't understand why they couldn't let the addon online for a few more days, maybe with a disclaimer that support ran out on mm/dd/yyyy, and that it will e.g. be pulled together with the main product.
@Tylerdowner: I'll probably try to merge the stuff from 3.6 into 11 by creating another FF11 profile and then use Sync between them.

ITunes can no longer add new apps on my ipad2 and/or stuck on "waiting"
My iTunes can no longer add new apps to my iPad. On iTunes, it shows as having been downloaded and installed on the iPad whilst on the iPad, it shows the app icon reflected as "Waiting".
Apps downloaded on the iPad sync correctly to the computer (iTunes) but apps downloaded via iTunes can't sync to the iPad.
I did everything possible, well except for restoring. I'm hoping someone could help me. Please, please, tell me there's another way aside from restoring. Heres a recap of what i did so far. So I rebooted(several times), deleted every app in the multitask and rebooted, restored to original settings, changed my password, changed my payment info, turned off my restriction, turned on my 'automatically sync new apps, etc., finished all incomplete downloads in my pc, synced and still nothing happened, what's so bad is the fact that it's downloading in my pc but not syncing/installing in my iPad2. I'm literally going nuts over this.. PLEASE HELP! Hoping somebody out there have the answer. Pleeeeaaaaseee.. Thanks you so much.You don't download iTunes to the iPod. You download it to your PC or Mac. Are you connecting the iPod with the same computer your originally set up the iPod up with?

I have an ipod touch 8gb that is disabled. on the screen it reads ipod disabled connect to itunes. But when i connect it to itunes, it says that it cant work with the ipod because it is locked with a passcode. what now?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

My iPhone 4 says that there is not enough memory to download apps like Facebook and Instagram. When plugged into iTunes it says that >4GB is filled with "other". How do I clear the "other"? What is this?
Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

Watching movies with subtitles Apple TV
I've been searching for a post like this for ages so I decided to make one myself to help other users with the same issue I've had:
Watching movies with subtitles in Apple TV WITHOUT the awfull darkening, shadow or whatever blurry effect showed by itunes player when streaming via airplay.
As many apple fanboys, i just cannot get whyy apple has done such a poor job with apple tv regarding to subtitled videos: the darkening of the lower part of the screen where the subtitles are displayed is simply unbereable and, because of it, I've found myself being forced to hardcode (because muxing is not gonna work, you need to hardcode) subtitles into movies with mp4tools or other similar software, which takes AGES of processing. Bt after buying and ipad i've found a brand new -and incredibily efficient- way to do it: VLC STREAMER
With an Ipad and VCL Streamer, you'll be able to airplay any of your video files of any kind (forget about endless hours converting to mp4) and, what is most important about this thread: TO AIRPLAY MOVIES WITH SUBTITLES not the awfull way apple tv does it, but in a clean, beautiful and regular way.
You need to purchase it cause the free version doesn't support airplay streaming. It is under 2$ or so and it's the best 2$ I've spent in the apple store. Ever.
After having purchased it, you only need to run it in your computer, save any subtitle file (usually .srt) in the same folder with the video file it belongs to and (important) with the same name, just with the extension changed. Then you can either stream it via Wi-Fi or load it and save it in your ipad and, anytime you hit "apple tv airplay", you'll watch it on your tv amazingly as it should be, and not with the ******** darkening of the lower part of the screen that apple tv usually displays.
I know it's not an useful solution for everybody cause it needs an ipad to work but, if you are lucky enough to have one, VLC streamer is an app that will allow you to watch your subtitled movies in your tv easy and clear.
PS: Sorry for bad english!Not always, but generally this is a network issue.
It also depends if you are playing across the LAN from iTunes (Computers icon using Home Sharing of iTunes) or playing purchases from the cloud under the main Movies/TV Shows/Music (iTunes Match) categories.
Audio will require less speed on either the LAN or internet to work well, whereas video, especially HD is more demanding. If it starts up quickly then stops to rebuffer I would consider interference on the LAN if uisng wifi (eg microwaves, neighbouring networks).
Also, to clarify, you are not talking about Airplay from a device to AppleTV (which will be worse with poor connections).
Test your internet speed at speedtest.net if playing from the internet.
SD needs 2.5 Mbps to play quickly, HD 6-8 Mbps for 720 or 1080p.
If playing across the LAN, if feasible (even for testing) connect as many device to the router by ethernet as possible to see if it's the wifi.
Occasionally when AppleTV behaves oddly it can help to unpower it completely and restart - may or may not help but quick and free. Same goes for restarting the router/Itunes when things go bad.

Since Os X Lion, when trying to load a movie (DivX) in QuickTime 10 at the same time that the related subtitles file (.srt) is in the same folder as the movie, QT 10 suggests to use QT 7. QT 10 cannot load the movie with subtitles (in Snow Leopard everything was OK). Q& 7 is useless too because it cannot export movies to another format.

I do this because Perian don't work with QT10 on Mac OS X Lion:
-Try to open .avi movie with QT 10;
-OS X ask you to open on QT 7;
-Donwload QT 7 and install it. It will be installed on "Utilities";
-Download Perian but don't install it;
-Mount Perian, and click "Show Package Contents"
-Go to "Contents"->"Resources"->"Components"->"CoreAudio" and copy to Desktop "A52Codec.zip" and unzip it;
-Go to"Contents"->"Resources"->"Components" and copy to Desktop "Perian.zip" and unzip it;
-Go to "Contents"->"Resources"->"Components"->"CoreAudio"->Quicktime" and copy to Desktop "AC3MovieImport.zip" and unzip it;
-Then copy all packages with ".component" extention to /Library/Quicktime/;
-Then you can run all movies on QT 7.
Or,
-Install MPlayerX;
Or,
-Install VLC;

I have downloaded a video with subtitle. When playing the edited video, the subtitle does not show up in the entire video. The subtitle comes and goes in the video.I have tried with my Mac Pro and Mac Air, with the same result. I have downloaded movie with subtitle before and never had this problem. Please advise.
I'm not very knowledgable on this but subtitles are sometimes on a separate track from the main movie. Try opening the downloaded video in Quicktime Player and saving it - you may be asked if you want to "flatten movie". Choose to do this. The resulting movie will probably now work OK. Others may be able to supply more comprehensive instructions.

Updated sys to Kit Kat as recommended by Verizon. Now I can no longer add, move, copy, create files or folders to SD card. What's up with that?
There is no such thing as a stupid question. With Kitkat you are very limited in what you can do on the sd card, an app can write to its own folder on the sd card only, here is a little more info here How to bypass Android 4.4 (KitKat) external SD write restrictions without root
You are basically restricted to writing to a single folder per app on the sd card. The other option is to move things by connecting your device to a computer and using it. -

I just got a new IPOD, 30GB with Video and I sync'd with one of my computers that had some of my songs on it. When I went to sync it with my laptop it wouldn't load my ipod stating that it was registered with another Itunes.
Any ideas?You can't "sync" that is automatically update an iPod from multiple libraries or computers. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

There was a update for iTunes and I downloaded it but before it could be loaded to my computer, it said my operating system needed to be 10.6.8. Where and what should I be looking for to update iTunes on my computer?

If you can update your computer to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 that would be the smartest thing to do. Otherwise you can restore an earlier version of iTunes from your Time Machine backup. You can purchase Snow Leopard from Apple's online store for $20 and then use the 10.6.8 Combo Update to get the most up-to-date version of SL. You can find that download at:

Before doing ANY update make sure you have have backed up your system using Time Machine or create a bootable clone onto an external HD using SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.
