ITunes Cannot connect to iPhone due to unknown error (0xE8000065)

Hello!
When I plugin my iphone to a wall, it refuses to charge (it just keeps making a bleeping noise).
And when I try to connect my iPhone to iTunes, I can't. It just says: iTunes Cannot connect to iPhone due to unknown error (0xE8000065)
Any suggestions? I replaced the battery hoping that would do the trick, but nada.
Cheers

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Unknown error containing '0xE' when connecting
Did you try a different charger and a different cable? If it won't charge the error will go away soon also when the battery dies.

Right, I'm going to try something, if this works, then this'll probably fix a lot of iTunes problems.
1: Make sure your whole iTunes database is backed up.
2: Uninstall iTunes, then run "Revo Uninstaller", this will remove ALL traces of iTunes from you computer, not your library.
I've found out that when un-installing or re-installing over a previous version of iTunes will carry over some problems from previous versions, or even create problems. Registry leftovers can be a problem also. Completely removing iTunes using "Revo Uninstaller" then re-installing will have the same effect as installing iTunes from a fresh OS install. Typically iTunes should be problem free when installed totally fresh.
3: Re-install the correct version of iTunes fresh and try again.

Then take it out of Lost Mode the same way you put it into Lost Mode:  via the Find My iPhone App or www.icloud.com.

    Hey there Palmer
    How are you?
Well, I have an iPod Classic, it gave me the error -1436 error and would not restore on iTunes.
    I did the following:
My Boss (@work) has a fairly old iBook but it has OS-X, so I decided to give it a try and connected my iPod to it.
The system showed a window telling me that the disk is not MAC formated and needs to be validated prior further action. Snce it is a Mac product, I thought "yeah, go ahead".
It then opens the disk manager utility for the Mac and showed the disk. It's window has some tabs, one is to verify the disk, so I verified it. Guess what, it had some invalid clusters.
Then I formatted the iPod to OS-X Plus file system (next tab to the right). After formating the iPod, I "ejected" the iPod and reconnected to my PC. The Windows iTunes found an iPod with Mac file system and asked me to restore it. As I clicked on the "restore" button, I crossed my fingers as this was the last resource I have.
Finally, after the file extraction was done, it began to restore the iPod!!
I'm so happy about being able to restore the iPod that I decided to share with all you guys this solution as it is the most usefull, in my opinion.
Hope you can find someone with an iBook or a desktop Mac, so you can fix yours.
If it works for you, make sure to share the tip!!
    Kind regards

That is either going to be a hardware failure or your phone is jailbroken and something has gone awry with the baseband.

  • ITunes cannot connect to iPhone because pairing record missing

I was able to connect my iPhone to iTunes once and was able to sync. Now i recieve a message saying: iTunes cannot connect to my iPhone because the pairing record is missing. What do I do?

    BPH108,
I had the same exact issue. What solved this for me was to unplug my phone, shut down ITunes, shutdown my phone (Not just shut down but hold the home and lock button until it shuts off), start my phone back up and start ITunes back up. Then when I plugged my phone back in it worked like a charm!
    Hope this helps!

  • ITunes randomly starts, and gives error "could not connect to iPhone because an unknown error has occurred" - with NO iPHONE CONNECTED!

Hi, I updated to 10.5 iTunes. I have a PC running Win 7. I have an iPhone 4.
After updating to the new iOS5, and the attendant iTunes update, now iTunes crashes - a lot - and then won't exit when I click the X. I have to force quit it. Then, it restarts itself a couple minutes later! WITHOUT me plugging in my iPhone! Plus it states it "could not connect to the iPhone because an unknown error has occurred."
This is a brand new fresh install of Win 7 - literally 4 days old; nothing fancy on it.
Anybody else having this problem? I've googled this for a while and can't seem to find any answers. It's getting really annoying!!
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • ITunes cannot connect to iPod touch. Unkown error

    Hi
My girlfriend just got new iPod touch 32GB. The problem is when she tries to connect to her pc (Win XP, iTunes 9), iTunes shows an error message saying "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred 0x8000065".
First of all, why does it says "iPhone"?
Secondly what could be the issue? I advised her to remove the iPod, close the iTunes, restart the PC and than connect it again, but it shows the same problem.
    Any solutions please?
    Thanks
    Mehul

    Hi...
Even this didn't worked. After step 6, I do get the apple logo on iPod and after that connect to iTunes image. But nothing comes up in iTunes on my PC. It still doesn't recognize my iPod touch.
Where else can there be problem? Will my antivirus software can be the culprit? But I can easily sync my iPod classic 120 GB, so I don't think antivirus should be a problem.
Any clues please... I have lost all the excitement for a new iPod tocuh
    Thanks
    Mehul
