Itunes cannot find the photoshop catelog of my photos

I have photoshop elements 8.0 and the most recent version of ITunes.  I had inadvertently created an extra catelog in PSE with a limited amount of pictures. Now ITunes wants to go to that cateleog all the time instead on my main catelog.  How do I get Itunes to point to a different directory for my catelog.  One thing I really liked was the interface between ITunes and PSE.  I could sync my pictures not only on IPhone but also on my Apple TV.  Now both are lost.
Is this a PSE problem or an ITunes problem?  Is it possible to get ITunes to point to a different directory to find the correct PSE catelog.
Any advice would be deeply appreciated

Hello Kumato,
First quit all running application.
In top right corner you will see a lil magnifying glass-> click in it [spotlight]
in spotlight type in -> Photoshop.
if it gives any results in application it means its installed.
Click on photoshop if it there in drop down list.
Otherwise you need to install from creative cloud
Similarly type  creative cloud in spotlight and click on it
Under apps Tab -> Photoshop CC/CS6 -> Install
or
go to creative.adobe.com -> sign in -> seach for photoshop in download center and click download.
Thanks

  • ITunes cannot find the folder containing the installation package itunes64.msi.

When I try and update iTunes to the newest version it says that it cannot find the itunes64.msi.  How to i fix this? I have a Dell Inspiron if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • HT201272 How can I recover music I've purchased from iTunes store when my iTunes cannot find the file

I cannot re-download music I purchased from the iTunes store.  I followed the instructions from iTunes support but that did not work.
When I find the music in the iTunes store under purchases, it states "downloaded" and will not let me re-download it.
What other tricks are there to use.  I do not have the music on an iPod or CD because I always thought that once you bought it on iTunes, you could always re-download it if you got a new computor, etc.

If they appear under the Purhcased link as 'downloaded' then do you still have them listed in your iTunes library (where you would click on them to play them) ? If youdo then iTunes assumes that you still have them somewhere, and that there is no need to re-download them - try deleting one of them from your library and it should then get the cloud symbol for re-downloading.

  • ITunes cannot find the "My music" folder

Whenever I try to open iTunes, it fails to open and instead I get an error message saying "The folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "My Music" folder".
Last time I used iTunes I had moved my My Music folder to my external hard drive, I even told iTunes in the settings the new location. It worked for a while (it's not my main music player, I only use it to synch my iPod) but now I get this annoying error message.
I can't even get into iTunes to change the settings and tell it where the music now is, because it won't open and I have tried uninstalling it, deleting all the folders and reinstalling it more times than I care to count. The only thing slightly different to normal is that My Music folder is actually called "<Windows Logon name>'s Music", which could be confusing the poor program.
    Could anyone help please?

This is normally a registry issue, the location of My Music is not correctly set, see this Apple article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302398
If you have a prexisting iTunes installation with library, you may be able to work round this but starting iTunes with the shift key held down. When asked to choose a library, navigate to the iTunes folder and choose iTunes Library.itl. This doesn't fix the basic registry problem though.

  • Having problems using ion tape express with itunes cannot find the song on hard drive

Having problems using ION tape express with itunes.  The song is on hard drive as temp1 not the name of the song.  And I have problems playing it in itunes
because it says it cannot locate the song'

Then correct the name of the song or point iTunes to the new file.
Issues with restoring should be directed to the manufacturer of the backup software/device... this is not an Apple or iTunes issue.

  • ITunes cannot find the music on my iPod?

Ok, so I am asking this question for a family member. She plugged her iPod into her computer, windows 7 i believe, with iTunes updated. It is an iPod touch 4th gen 32 gb running iOS 6.1.6. The problem she had, was her music disappeared. You know the little ! in a circle that appears when iTunes can't locate a song in your library? well it's appearing on about 90% of her music on her iPod music, not iTunes library. The files have seemed to delete themselves. Has anyone had this problem before, and what did you do to fix it if you were able to fix it? She does not have immediate access to a lot of the music she lost on her iPod, and would like to solve this problem asap! A quick restore will not fix this problem. Also, what can be done to avoid this?

If you sync your iPod to iTunes, it should be there, if not...
You can re-download all your iTunes purchases by logging into your iTunes Store account and selecting Purchases from the right-hand sidebar.

  • HT201413 Connected iPod to computer to recharge.  Was told that to syn it on this computer it would delete all data on iPod.  Thinking this mean only music I had on it I ok'd.  Since then iTunes cannot find the iPod.  Help!

Connected iPod to computer.  Started to Syn but came up with if syncing this device may delete saved music.  Accidentally pressed OK.
iPod was originally synced on another old computer no longer in use.

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

  • HT201210 iTunes cannot find the update server

After months and months of not being able to update my iPhone 4 to the new technology due to storage usage, i was finally able to. Now after two hours of waiting, my phone says it was verifying the update. My phone turned off and then turned back on and i got the plug into iTunes icon. After i plugged it in it says that the iPhone update server cannot be found.

Temporarily disable any security software on the computer then try the update again.

  • ITunes cannot find the correct iTunes file to sync iPhone

I have the iPhone 4 and no problems with the phone or iTunes until now. I opened iTunes and it was blank so I reconnected iTunes to the proper files, however, it doesn't show my apps and it doesn't recognize my iPhone. When I try to sync iTunes warns me that the Iphone is synced to another iTunes and if I sync it will erase and re-write the data on the phone. I've only synced to one computer and don't know how to get it to re-recognize the proper iphone files. Any suggestions?

  • TS2776 i recently transferred my itunes file to a new pc.  i am unable to play some songs i had imported to itunes and it says it cannot find the original folder.  how can i play these files?

i recently had to rstore my pc.  i had copied my itunes file to a flash drive and have since reinstalled it.  Now, i am unablt to play certain imported files and have and exclamation mark.  it says itunes cannot find the original folder.  how can i play these songs if there is no other folder to find them in?

If you right mouse and select Get info it will show you the Apple ID used to purchase these songs.
Usually the name of an apple id is based on the email. So knowing that you may have forgotten the Apple ID password.
You can request a new password here http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/

  • ITunes cannot find files even though the path is correct in Preferences

Hello: I have a problem that is not addressed in any support article.
When I click to play a song in iTunes, I get the message that iTunes cannot find the original file.
When I check Preferences > Advanced > iTunes folder locations, I see all of my files there, but iTunes does not.
I have reset, consolodated the library, and performed all tasks noted in the support articles. Still no luck.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks very much.

I had the same thing happen and have been pulling my hair out about this for a week now. Finally today I hit on a fix that worked for me and I hope it works for you.
For this to work, you need a backup of the last saved iTunes Library file.
First, follow directions about locating your iTunes music folder. In prefs>advanced choose your location and make sure that is right.
Locate your last saved iTunes Library file (the one that was working before things went haywire with the !'s everywhere). Also locate the iTunes prefs file in ~/library/prefs. For me, these were part of a Backup, so I selected "restore" ONLY THESE particular files from my last backup. When prompted to replace existing files, I said YES.
After backup ran, restoring the old Library and replacing the corrupted one, I relaunched iTunes and VOILA. All files were now correctly linked.
This left one last task, re-importing all songs I'd imported since that previous backup. To find these, I sorted my music folder by date modified and checked the most recent songs against the most recent in my Library. (sort your iTunes LIbrary by "Date Added", which you can add manually if it's not part of your categories bar.

  • Renameing files - iTunes cannot find files?

I recently got a new computer and forgot to send all of the music on my old one to this one - so i imported them from my iPod. When it imported them, it gave them file names such as "APKF" and "NXVX", so if i delete and file and then want it back - i have to go through all of the files until i find the one i'm looking for. A simple solution to this would be to rename the files with their correct artist name and song,... but when i do this iTunes cannot find the files when i go to play the songs ... it also does this if i simply just move a song from one folder to another ... help?
    Thank you!!!

I'm gonna keep them as their original four letter name and then just create a key in Notepad were it links the artist to the song by that four letter name. And them inport them one by one and enter their keys into a notepad...
It'll take a long time, but after i do it this one time i can just add and delete songs from the notepad.
    like this:
    Cage the Elephant:
    Back Against the Wall: WTHK
Ain't no rest for the wicked: TYRE
thank you soooo much for your help, but i'm a neat freak so i'm gonna do this. you don't know of somekind of software were you can save some kind of data? like a non-trial version of Windows Office Excel?
